Your making me feel good about 2 years ago I picked up a 79 Camaro in original paint one small rust hole on the whole car sitting since 07 in a barn not a Z but came with a strong 350 4 bolt I put a 4 speed in I bought it for 4 k wow excellent interior also minus I could use a driver seat cover
It's WILD how much the car flexes on that front subframe with the fenders off. Your car has way more rust than mine, but I've got all those same parts taken off now. Haven't decided if I want to pull the motor or if I can do a good enough job of cleaning it up as is.
@@DirtSweatGears yeah I’ve almost talked myself into a subframe swap. I have new bushings so I might as well lol my thing is you’re right at that point and just a few more bolts and you can fully clean everything. Depends on how far you want to go with it
Ive been working on getting my moms 79 z28 back into commission. I just recently got the full front clip off and am getting ready to pull the engine. Just thaught it was cool that you posted a video doing the same thing ive been working on.
Yeah man is wish I had the time and money to do a restoration, but I don’t lol we gonna clean this baby up fix the worst spots and convert the rest lol
