    What is ASMR?
    Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response
A feeling of well-being combined with a tingling sensation in the scalp and down the back of the neck, as experienced by some people in response to a specific gentle stimulus, often a particular sound.
    • Autonomous - spontaneous, self-governing, with or without control
    • Sensory - about the senses or sensation
    • Meridian - signifying a peak, climax, or point of highest development
    • Response - referring to an experience triggered by something external or internal
    (Source: Wikipedia)
ASMR signifies the subjective experience of "low-grade euphoria" characterized by "a combination of positive feelings and a distinct static-like tingling sensation on the skin". It is most commonly triggered by specific auditory or visual stimuli, and less commonly by intentional attention control.

I don’t know what it is about sheet protectors, but it’s one of my favorite sounds. Puts me in such a relaxed mood!

I don't know why but repetitive gentle movements have been a trigger for me since I was a child, so this video is superrr relaxing.

Another great video from the best ASMR channel on TH-cam! I really appreciate you taking the time to make these videos, I know it is time consuming. I love this sound so much, it is very relaxing and sends tingles down my spine! It's a nice change from the usual intense pain in my spine. I've found that sounds like this really do help the pain in my spine from service related injuries. Cutting paper is another great sound! Any sounds dealing with paper are awesome sounds! 😄☺️😊😁

Good idea, but the sound is completely exaggerated. The power of the microphone is completely overdriven. The sound level is far too high. A normal human ear would never be able to hear the resulting noise. For me it is inauthentic and just noise, even when I hear it quietly. It should be quiet and soft (but unfiltered) so that it can be used for real relaxation.
