I’ve been playing a couple of years now. Sitting at a 15 HCP. My 60 and in has been terrible and costs me so many strokes. I constantly try to use 60/56 around the greens and it rarely leads to a 1 putt. Yesterday I went and played 9 holes as “two golfers” first golfer was me and how I would normally play. 2nd golfer was who I need to be without an ego. Less driver off tee where it’s not really needed, and around every green I would hit 2 shots. One with lob wedge, one with 9i. I literally chipped in twice with 9i for birdie and for a par. Those lob wedges left me 2/3 putt bogey/double bogeys. I will never use a lob wedge around a green again if I don’t have to.
