The insanity of how McFadden wasn't awarded at least one if not two Heisman trophies during his career, because he damn sure did more than enough to win them!!

Because Tim Tebow was the media darling. Most of his touchdowns came on QB sneaks after the running backs got them down to the gola line. We all know his passing was sub par.. Hope that helps.

We had THE best 3 RB's we've ever had and yet we could get a decent QB.

@@DrHogfanhold on, what qb would be decent if they played under 4 different defensive coordinators in 4 years? Casey dick gets way too much flack for the administrations failures.

Although NFL and , the very top of NCAA got strategically boring under center with 1 FB 1TE 1RB 2WR from 80's to 2000's; the tight thrilling contests are fun to watch decades later. I love a good running game comeback, like the 2021 Titans are pulling off.

Mustain, Williams, Cleveland and of course Gus Malzahn were all there in 2006, McFadden's sophomore year, and they were great. Unfortunately it all fell apart at the end of the 2006 season.

October 22, 2005 I was in Bessemer, Alabama at Dartmouth at my Auntie's House playing GameCube with my cousin Romeo when he was in the 8th Grade Davis Middle School, I was a 10th Grade Sophomore recently turned 16 years old on October 4, 2005. Then went back my Apartment in Birmingham Southside Clairmont watching the World Series, and College Football, then Magic City Classic at Legion Field in Birmingham, Alabama. Minako/Mina Aino will forever be Known as Sailor Venus was celebrating her 27th Birthday from the Anime Sailor Moon haven't came back on TV since July 2002.

This game is a good example why Houston Nutt didn't last as a head coach. Piss poor strategic decision-making on his part...CONSTANTLY! Think I'm wrong? If so, 'splain to me why ANYONE would put Peyton Hillis in the position of punt returner when 1) he didn't have good hands, 2) he wasn't very fast OR agile (he was a straight-ahead fullback for god's sake, a power, short yardage back), and you had Darren McFadden at your disposal. You DO NOT have to be a genius to know who should be returning punts/kickoffs. You DO HAVE to be someone who does not have much understanding of the best usage of your players' inherent strengths. McFadden's strengths were good hands, great agility, and burning speed! This is why Houston was a running back coach for eight years, and a head coach for a lot less time than that...and a not very successful head coach at that. I said "Good riddance" when he left the program.

I think history has shown us it can be a lot worse than Nutt. Furthermore, we won some huge games under Nutt. The Cotton bowl win over Texas was legendary, beating Bama in one of the all time greats, among others. Also putting together arguably the greatest college backfield ever assembled...And who could forget the whipping he put on us after leaving?! Point being overall I have positive memories of the Nutt era and I am pretty sure you do too.
