Everytime I listen to this song it's like the first time. It doesn't get old. Its sooo freakin' genuine, like it comes straight from a tortured heart, an unmediated lament. The struggle is real :)
His timing is good here on the electric guitar. On the other acoustic recordings he mutes the downbeat and has shitty timing. He is a very good singer and performer none the less.
"Maybe when I'm a little older, I won't tell myself so many lies." You really need to visit The Blue Door in OKC where John recorded his first CD with Greg Johnson, the guy who knows music talent and mentored John from the beginning. The venue is small and intimate, so Greg books 2 or 3 days and he's always all sold out. When John starts jammin' with David and Buffalo or whoever he has called up on stage, all Heaven breaks loose! You ain't heard nothin' till you hear a 12 minute set of pure Fullbright and friends.

This guy is fuckin AWESOME.
I love hearing this song with the electric. I can't get enough of this guy.
Love the dirty and dark baritone sound
One of the best performers I've ever seen. I'm Scottish, made a point of catching him twice. Hope he comes back, one day
That solo was too good
Not going to lie, this song is far better live than on the record
Happens all the time with Jam in the Van, doesn't it? Their sound is rich.
