Losing Thuy Trang, when we did, was bad enough. But now that we lost Jason Frank... Man. I don't know which knife cuts the deepest. I'm still in disbelief that he's really gone especially given the reported circumstances that led to his death. I don't believe it was a suicide and I don't think the news or media is telling us the truth about what really happened.

Since quite a few of the actors have tragically died like the Yellow ranger, the green/white ranger, Rita, Ernie, etc, we will never truly have a reunion without those guys. Personally I would love the have all of the surviving cast member return but it seems very unlikely and it will never be satisfying knowing not everyone is still alive.
She left the show early because of contract and pay disputes not because she fell out with the cast. Amy and Thuy were very close friends and she didn’t leave the show at the same time as Thuy

They were auditioning people for the role of Tommy Oliver before hand. Rather than be close to when it's time for the character to debut in the story, they land a person in the role from the start. They just come into things later due to the plot.

They planned on doing the Green Ranger from the start, I doubt they would hold auditions for the role and film it like a week or a month before shooting the episode. Plus Thuy wasn't part of the original 5 that were casted. Audrey was Trini originally, Thuy replaced her after the pilot. So it's very possible.
The role of the yellow ranger first went to another actress (Audrey Dubois I believe) but she was fired because she demanded a higher wage. Later the role was recasted and I assume this was done together with the casting of the green ranger.
this is why i believe that JDF bullied David Yost for his sexuality (and even directors and producers)- he called him names as jokes. That's why I noticed Amy Jo was trying to be nice during the premiere- she was probably grinding her teeth before shooting that cameo scene with JDF- her and David Yost are good friends
i'm saw the video behind the scenes and they all seemed to be pretty obnoxious- but, JFD- i watched his vlog from the premiere of the movie, and i had to turn it off his remarks were, as I'll say "obnoxious". Yeah Yost is probably over it (there was even JFD and Austin beef in that video), he was very nice during the interviews at the event, JFD however showed a little bit of his "ego". smh
