I just want *localized* machine learning to do *much* better spam filtering than what currently exists. No cloud based stuff, and no summary stuff. Just help me properly get rid of spam. Apple's own iCloud does a horrible job - I have e.mails in my Junk folder that are from contacts! Zero control over their spam settings. So a localized "AI" to help with spam filtering would be amazing, IMO.
Although the functions that these apps give the user are definitely useful, you are giving these app developers a lot of access to your data and information on your Mac. Make sure you’re ok with sharing all of that information.
i like my mac simple and clean. for me all this software in this video is bloatware and absolutely not neccessary and this guy apparently just needs a topic to make a video and money
so it's a good idea to give ALL my email to a server that I have no idea where it is (China) or who the company is or how long they may survive and then what happens to all my email. personal information in email??? no freaking way
Thanks for pointing this out, because it's not at all obvious from their website. But digging into the docs reveals: "You can use Shortwave with Outlook, Exchange, Fastmail, and many other providers by linking your existing inbox to a Gmail account. … iCloud Mail accounts do not support POP and cannot be linked at this time."
3:17 Oh sure, let’s just send all our emails to a cloud server so an AI can read them. What could possibly go wrong?
+1 for Local Send. I use Windows + Mac + iOS + Android for development. Being able to send from any to any is amazing.
these are my favorite MacRumor videos... keep em coming
Dropover... I've wanted a "shelf" in the dock forever. Just like a clipboard area... would make life so much easier!
Getting that notch
Using Local-send app since 4 months now. Its super useful

Best Mac app imo is Raycast.
Love it when you do these. I never have Safari tab sharing work reliably between all my devices so I hope Hyperduck will do the job.
Add text sniper and ZuriWeb to the list
Keep up these videos! I love Mac Apps!
great list

No notch on my Mac, desktop.
No Raycast? 🤯
Shortwave doesn't work with iCloud and only Gmail. So thats a no
Cool
Shortwave only works using gmail... that's a no no

Second, you made laugh.
I use shortwave on my iPhone it’s great wish I could use everything not just Gmail
Agreed. You can't use Google mail and anything else at the same time. Non-starter. Surprising "MacRumors" would recommend to a bunch of Apple fans.
These are all incredibly useless apps
first?
