Watching you paint this model was an absolute treat Richard! Here’s for hoping you give us an another vehicle focused video in the same style - I really struggle translating these techniques to the much larger surfaces of vehicles.
Well that's convenient, was just thinking how to paint my Mechanicum using ivory/bone tones and a worn brass metal and then this video drops. Great work !
Lovely work, man. Had to shout you out in the video I posted this week, your stippling is always on point and your approach has been a big inspiration in transitioning from illustration to mini painting!
Nicely done. Just a quick question, about the lenses: Would it not be quicker to get a chrome pen and Tamiya transparent paints, or would that overwhelm the model?
That would be quicker but would have a very different look to it. I'd say to try it and see if you like the result. For me, I enjoy painting lenses like this.
Dude the videos are amazing, idk why they aren't getting 500 million views but please keep at it they will.
Richard AND Rebecca video in one day? Thank you!!! Great work as always!
It's like Christmas! ;) You are always too lovely.
Who is Rebecca?
@@naabiioww724 me! :)
"When i paint in subassemblies I end up with lots of pieces over my desk and not getting anything finished." That hit me in the feels.
When your videos drop it’s honestly like a new Scorsese film. Always learn so much. Thanks for doing these

Thanks for the video! I followed some of your ideas for my Deathwing terminators and was really happy with the result!
This paint style can be quite interesting on scale models as well. Thank you!
Great scheme Rich!
This looks fantastic! I love the bit of texture you get from stippling, especially metallics.
Excellent video
Absolutely wonderful. Thank you for sharing this.
Awesome job, so inspiring
Great Stippling Work ! Love the result. 👌🔥🔥🔥
Wtf fantastic!! 🎉
It's a masterpiece 😊😊
Amazing as always!
Where you been Richard?!! I forgot how to paint!
16:32 Nice.
Missed a trick here. You should be touting Hard And Slow as the new SlapChop
Looks amazing. What metal colour was used for the non-bronzy parts like the rotating blades or parts of the legs? Cheers.
Nicely done.

if you were to do the same with a blue armour instead of cream/ivory, what contrast/speedpaint colour would you use?
i'm frankly dumbfounded by this paintjob tbh, the stippling+contrast looks just grimy and brutal and grim as hell
