Saw Vulfpeck at Brixton Academy last week. So, so good. Funkeh AF. What Joe does with his bass is not human.

@@jupoga96 yea because charles is 10 times better. Joe has a nice groove and can play and compose really good funky lines. Charles' technique is on a whole another level that Joe can't reach. For example tapping or slapping. Also, charles is able to play that kind of impossible things in lots of different genres, from rock, to funk, from metal to classic, and jazz. Joe has never improvised over a jazz standard for example. I am not saying that Joe is not good. I lvoe him and I love vulfpeck's bass parts but, in terms of technique, ability, sound and completeness Charles is way better.

@@marcellozanardelli7713 Charles is a hell of a bass player and is way more technical than Joe (Charles' tone is horrible imo), but Joe's playing and groove are more enjoyable

@@jupoga96 I respect your opinion. The good thing is we are lucky to have both of them.

I love how wherever joe goes he just completely destroyes the show(in a good way). it's like that video of the drummer that's overqualified for his job? exactly that.

I love Joe but his slap stuff doesn't do it for me while his fingersyle funk is out of this world.

I see where ur coming from but I absolutely love his slapping. Massive fun of the greats like Wooten and miller but his stuff is simple and effective and always has crazy groove

Funny but I thought the drummer sounds a bit loose and sloppy. Didn’t really gel with the bass as much as he could have. Just my opinion of course! I’m just jealous he got to play with Joe!

Well nice try at Stanley Clark or Jaco P. Love a creative bass player.....guessing I have an idea who he listens to or has listened to...greatest ever maybe not but still pretty damn good.
