Personally as someone who is just super nosey, I would drive by once and a while to check out what changes you all had made just out of pure curiosity, but it’s the making actual contact and way they can’t let the house go and are clearly not happy with you making changes that is so wild about these people to me

The thing about health is that it’s such a marathon, not a sprint. Sometimes there’s chapters in our lives where it’s difficult to make it a priority, whether that be motherhood/pregnancy, school, work, whatever, because in those moments we’re just trying to survive and breathe! It’s really about the positives outweighing the negatives over 70, 80, 90 years. On top of that, health ultimately sooooo multifaceted. It involves the mind, body, and spirit! I thought you guys were spot on about the body image talk ❤️
I totally get not feeling scared by them but I’d for sure just call the cops to make them stop. They’re so annoying. As a nostalgic person, I’d never do that. Absolutely not normal.
Very nostalgic person here, the most my family has ever done is drive by our childhood home a couple of times over the years. Nothing else. These previous owners absolutely need to move on - why did they sell if they were THIS attached and must still be living close by??
Why would the previous owners sell if they were still SO obsessed with the house…. Like you said you have a new house. Why?!

I would at the very least file a police report, so you can have a record of their trespassing. I would keep a detailed document with everything they have done. Just in case they do something you have the full history.

The man who grew up in our house actually lives behind us. He hasn’t lived here in like 60 years, he knew the previous owners who lived here for 30 years but still has refused to go into the house because there has been so much change since he lived here. He wants to keep the memories of his childhood home. That is normal behavior. Stopping by is insane!!!! You and Leif have been so nice up to this point, you are definitely justified in being upset and saying something if they do it again.

I drove by our old house to see the changes like 6 months later and I was terrified the new owners would see us and they didn’t even know what we looked like. We didn’t close together so they never met us and I was still so afraid to look like freaks. I made my husband drive so fast by the house one time and we never went back. lol
I would actually raise hell if I was dealing with people like that who were inserting themselves into a house that was NO LONGER THEIRS.

We bought a hoarder house/fixer upper. the owners didn’t have the means to find a new place to
live right away so after we bought the house they were able to rent from us for 30 days. To do this they put down a $5000 deposit that they would get back as long as they got out in 30 days but we would keep if they did not get out.
The last day we come by and they are still there still moving out. We parked our camper and just hung out while they did so😂
2 days later they come back for some of their things (including a dog they left!??)
Week later they come back asking to look through the house to get more things and we said um sorry we threw everything away already. (Multiple dumpsters of stuff) They were shook. They asked to look inside. We said no
The previous owners are pushing it WAY TOO FAR! I have a memory box from elementary that I saved things in all the way until highschool because I’m so so sentimental. But I would never do that. Please do not normalize that or let anyone tell you that it’s not a big deal and they “mean well.” If they wanted to keep it the way it was because they put that much hard work into it they should’ve kept it in the family. Selling your home and guilting someone into keeping it the way they made it is so insane. Like actually unhinged. The neighbors also need to know their place. Nobody needs to know your renovations at all, and don’t feel bad.

That house stuff is insane because were they thinking about the previous owners or the people who originally built the house when they put in all that “hard work” making it look the way they wanted to lol??? The most savage move of all would be if Jaci, Leif or even the contractor told the previous owner to watch TH-cam for house updates!!! 😮😅😛😂🫶🏻 that’s what I would do!!!
