"There are so many things we've created to fix problems that we've created" is so true! I'm here for the valley girls' intellectual TedTalks hehe!

Chelsey, I highly recommend the deviated septum surgery!! Recovery was about 1-2 weeks of feeling congested and some pain but it was so worth it. I had no idea what it was like to actually breathe 😂
And no black eyes and it doesn’t change the shape of your nose unless you ask for it!

You guys are right, 10k steps is a completely arbitrary number we created. You should listen to the podcast episode about pedometers from the show Maintenance Phase. It was a marketing thing.

I said the same thing recently about gyms being dystopian!!!! Like it feels like a black mirror episode when you think too hard into it lol. We used to be so active as humans because we HAD to be and food was so scarce that we were worried about having enough calories. Now our daily lives are so different and we have more calories than we need easily available so we had to create these spaces where we could simulate the same type of activity we used to have to do to survive lol. It’s so interesting.

Speaking of words we say wrong. I ALWAYS mix up “take” and “bring” and my husband corrects me every time. I will never learn the difference

I can attest that having my deviated septum corrected was worth it. Mine was severe, my left side was 90% deviated and it was no wonder I had a hard time breathing while I jogged (and I am in pretty good shape). It caused me to have TMJ because I clenched my teeth at night from not being able to breath. I had neck pain, shoulder pain, and my teeth hurt every day from clenching. It was awful. To be honest, my nose now appears a little bigger after my surgery but it is worth it because I can finally breath. I had NO clue how restricted my breathing was until after the surgery. It was weird how much I can breath now lol. And it did fix all the sinus pressure and bloody noses that I would get. I also did not have a black eye or bruises from the surgery and, again, my case was more severe and I didn't have those issues.

Chelsey I got my deviated septum fixed and I also had an ENT tell me I didn’t have to and I can breathe soooo much better and it’s been amazing. Also they don’t change the appearance unless you also pay for a nose job so it won’t look different unless you want it to

When I was removing my carpet we put it infront of the house and my neighbors asked if they could have it and I was confused because the carpet was old and ripped up lol they said they were gonna use it for gardening (they mentioned some type of plant and ended up seeing them use it in their front yard) so maybe that’s why the rug was there? lol

I had a septoplasty to fix my deviated septum in 2017 and recovery was 6-8 weeks! It wasn’t fun at all, but it didn’t change my nose shape at all! And they had to break my nose twice in two different places because they didn’t scrape out all the junk the first time 🫠
