This van is my baby and yes, he does need some work! Brad will be driving down this rig from Alaska this Summer and we will do a complete renovation. Thanks for watching everyone!
Containing dry ice even with a decent seal is very dangerous in reality dry ice has to have a vent and you better have it venting outside because it can be deadly.
I remember this van from wayyy back in the Tyler Durden days. Good ol' Zep! That era was awesome! It was like hanging out with Chris daily and becoming friends with him. Definitely one of my inspirations toward van life.
I can't stop being amazed by the outside and inside of these van life. When I see the inside of the built. I'm like wow it's so much room and the ways they made everything work.
Awesome tour! I read the comments casting shade but they seemed to miss that you were hired to capture images, not rebuild a van. It was awesome to watch this video! I feel like a proud Auntie seeing Brad on the other side of the camera for a tour. 🙂
😂🤣😂 Laughed all the way through the video. When you get older, you'll find out that nothing works like it used to without some restoration. That camper has potential. It just needs a little TLC and lots of renovation.
Wow, talk about patience any endurance. I admire you doing this... too involved to make allowances for me... glad your’re happy and doing what you want to do.
Kings Throne ! Couldn't agree more ! Just bought a Big Dodge like yours after living on the road for years in vans playing in bands and never had a throne, I do now and it beats going outside in all weather and times of night, seriously a true luxury ! Great vid Bud !!!
If I had to guess, that random extra tire is meant to be a sand anchor if you needed to keep something in place while on a beach. If you have a winch or anything else to tow with them you can bury the tire and use it as one end of the pulling system to get something else unstuck
I have been wondering what happened to Chris' van. I used to follow him in his earlier days, then after G joined him. I remember when the roofrack got built. Kind of cool to see it still around even after he got into raised roof skoolies. Gives me hope for my 45 year old Ford hightop van (that I have had for 10 yrs) I lived out of it for almost 4 yrs, & it has been mostly parked for the last 5, but I cant bear to give it up. I feel almost ready for more vanlife
As long as it protects him from the elements and doesn't leave him stranded, I'm sure the broken things could be fixed if it bothered him that much.... safe journeys looking forward to more videos... by the way anyone else think he looks like Ryan Reynolds?
I don't think it's depressing at all! He's a young guy having the time of his life. The van doesn't have to be amazing. He obviously doesn't care. He's living for the experience.
It’s so cool seeing this old van back in action. We watched Chris make several trips to and from Alaska in this beast. I’d love to see Chris spend the money to actually refurbish this thing, and replace all those systems that no longer work. Having non-working components on board is just hauling around unnecessary weight. Wishing you and Chris well. Happy Trails
Omg I just bought one of these can you please answer these questions for Size of fuel tank Gray/black tank is it just one tank Where are underneath Size of fresh water tank Best 12 volt battery
I love that you went salmon fishing and stuff too that’s so cool! Your van has such delightful personality :) it’s a little bit too chaotic for me and I need to keep things super clean but I really like the features of your van a lot it’s awesome! :D
Best of luck with this rig while your "living your dream". May she provide you with safe shelter that gets you to all of your destinations. I would love to follow your steps.
I have a 1990 b250 explorer. She's gorgeous!! Course I fix everything all the time but it all works :-) just put a new 12 volt only fridge in it works so much better than those three ways So much better it's unrecognizable. I have 420 solar and never need to worry about it. The only thing I have on LP anymore is the heater but I carry a AC 180 Bluetti solar battery which charges in 2 hours and does spikes of 2200 watts with a constant of 1800 watts so I can make cappuccinos run my power tools whatever I need but mostly I use it for my little 700 w heater so I don't have to use propane too much. Filling that propane is a pain in the butt because if it's location and around here all the people are 90 years old and can't do it.. lol We lived in her for 3 years and traveled the continental US.. never made it to Alaska though in the van. This tour actually made me realize when I'm done cleaning it for my next trip here in September I think I'm going to do a walk-through so I can show it off a little :-) I do love it and you're so right You don't need that $100,000 van.. classics have more style I think
Also the bed size is a full RV size not a full regular house size so it's a little bit shorter and about 4 in less wide but if you got the smaller one which is a single it would be way too small.. We bought ours full and then cut it down ourselves because RV mattresses are ridiculous
Another catch all. Another junk drawer. Random stuff. 😂 You seriously need a visit from Marie Kondo. Couldn't stop laughing through the whole video. Worst camper I've seen but also the funniest. Well done. Whatever makes you happy. 😊
So this "zep?" company provided him with a van that's falling apart and has more things that don't work on it than do? Seems kinda sad that he has to be stuck in that thing.
@@TheAverageBrad7 I never meant to make it sound like it wouldn't be a cool experience, I was just pointing out how it sucks that you were provided with a van that has so many issues with it.
@@LiamPattisonPhotography ah ok. Yes i knew what i was getting myself into! It’s part of the adventure. If you look up the channel he has other absolutely beautiful mini Buses built out for other travelers as well. I’ll be back up there next summer as well to drive it down to the lower 48 to be refurbished. Couldn’t do it last summer because of COVID.
This is the most grubbiest live in van I have seen to date and I have seen many videos and nothing works probably because he is too lazy to fix it and or clean the place up. I watched it for about 6 minutes and then turned it off it was just too depressing to watch.
Wow it’s not even his van he is borrowing it. It costs a lot to fix things.. cut him some slack he’s a kid living a fun life. I’m amazed at how many jealous miserable people there are out there😝

Im feeling Bad for Poor old Zep and Brad. I owned a 91 Dodge B250 Conversion Van. Loved that van, Zep has some great potential.
Brad is doin great 👍🏼 and Alaska is amazing want to go some day. Enjoy watching his adventures
Can you please post fuel tank size, original gray water and fresh water tank. I just bought a 74 snd I can’t find any info online
Congratulations! How awesome for you 💕
Lol ,this dosent work, this dosent work, this dosent work, what a great van, awesome Dude!
This van is a big part in why I made the switch. Thanks for the reminder Chris! Hope I can help you make that van look like my 86. Dodge ftw
Dodge ram vans are beasts. I've had 3 now. No other comes close!!
To cut mattress use an electric turkey knife cuts the foam like butter👍‼️
If the fridge holds a decent seal, maybe get some dry ice in there and It'll be like a cooler. Might be able to keep some things for a bit.

This guy has a nice disposition, gentle and funny, with a lot of solid wisdom from his story. Thank you :)

I've spent time in Anchorage and Soldotna and he's right; you do have to make do there. This dude has a great attitude and just kinda goes with it.

I watch Chris and G in the van traveling
I wish I could do this.
You need a RV FULL mattress. It wouldn't hurt to measure the space as will.
I just absolutely love the van, it is fantastic.
Helo!
I am from Brazil.
I Love motorhome
Seems like a nice van to refurbish. Too bad this guy isn't handy. This guy treats this van like its a rental.
Well that’s because it kinda is.
He says he is just using the van and someone else owns it. Listening skills need to fine tuned🤪

Too depressing to watch. Everything is messy, dirty, broken or disorganised. I feel sorry for Brad, being given this to live in.
Nah Brad is as happy as Larry. Don't feel sorry for him. A wonderful, happy, laid back Dude. 😊
How many miles? What mechanical work has been done?
