Looks like i missed a good visit to Tropical Expressions. I had to get my trees ready for winter. Virtual tour was really good and saved me some money. Enjoy the Panda film. Almost as reflective as Mylar and much easier to work with.
Good luck to all with your new acquisitions. Wonderful nursery tour. It’s always enjoyable to virtually be with you and your band of bonsai buddies. I’ve got some bald cypress in development down here in Florida. They grow quite fast. Thanks, keep growing
What a great outing that would have been. You've got it worked out Nigel , off cruising for the day while Laura is back at home doing the hard yards, Lol . She's a keeper ,
Great video of your excursion to get the shelf and the trip to Tropical Expressions was fantastic. Looking your Hibiscus in bloom caused me to look at my neighbors Hibiscus hedge, about 5 feet high and 25 to 30 feet in length blooming beautiful pink flowers. Living in SE Florida does have its benefits for tropicals...
I really, really enjoyed this Road Trip video. What a great place -Tropical Expressions. I couldn’t seem to find it on FB. And gifts too! What a perfect day. So funny, no space left in your room and you still fit more, lol
Glad you were able to get another bald cypress to try again with Nigel. I'm excited to see it grow. TE definitely seemed to have some better stock than when I went earlier this fall. I'll have to head back in the spring. Connor has reminded me that many of the TE trees suffer when brought home because the conditions in their greenhouse are just so good, anything else is a big transition for them.
Great looking store and the road going and coming is a great outdoor drive. And you were not going to buy a tree. In that store, who cannot? Great video!!!!!
Yeah you got my favorit tree fukien tea or carmona 😀😀😀 looking forward to see what you are going to do with that. I keep mine in a growing telt inside. With a aquarium light. It grows like crazy. Love the humidete as a ficus.
What a nice day again, with friends and so many trees not to buy 😅 the fukien looks really nice! Lauras woodchip path got me thinking of the yellow brick road.. Both the song and the scene in the movie 😊
I was going to be down there to see a good friend Sunday, until a situation came up. I'll have to make sure when I do get to see him I make some time to stop by there. Great look at what they have to offer.
Hah, who believed that you wouldn't buy anything? You got me crazy early on as I saw the adeniums. I'm hoping to buy one, two, maybe three if I can get different colors (flowers). Liked those figurines too. The Buddha is fantastic; I would have bought a fish or two.
Awe, I'm so jealous!! Once in a rare blue moon I go down that direction. Unfortunately, I'm usually driving a dump truck.... Wonder if they would notice me sneaking in a Bonsai shop lot with it LOL...
My dads neighbor had a transporter that looked exactly like the one in your video, but a regular 4 door and rear wheel drive. Same color on both the body and the canvas, I even think he had 2 auxiliary lights as well😂
Wow......... Both Baniyan and Religiousa are very sacred tree in India and people use to worship them. I saw many beautiful Baniyan bonsai in internet 🌸
Nigel I know how trying not to buy more tropical trees is. I sold a big pot of Portulacaria afra to a member of the club I'm a part so I could make room inside for the Brazilian Rain tree I bought this summer.
So cool, Nigel! Thank you so much for taking us with you today! So glad you got a Tukien Tea. I’m the one who asked you if you had one. So excited to follow that tree’s journey and get some styling tips for my own tree. 🪴
Nigel returning back "Hi Laura what do you think about redesigning the back by putting a 200 yrd x 30 ft Orangerie (it's not greenhouse)"? Laura " be out have we darling"! 😂
Nigel. I have 6 bald cypress I have grown from seed I want to make a "forest" style swamp bonsai. Once planted should I prune right away? They Are about 18-20 inches tall?
How many subscribers were shouting at the screen "don't do it Nigel" do you need to start BA (Bonsai Anonymous) If you do Hi "my name is Pete and I am a Bonsai addict"
I love the sigh at the beginning when you said you weren't going to buy a new tree. You knew it was not going to be possible. Great video Nigel!
Resistance is futile! So the Borg say anyway!
I know the buddha will have a good home in The Bonsai Zone. May it bring you good fortune and… other good stuff!
Thanks Xin, it was great to get together today!!!

This video had me grinning with pleasure the whole way through the greenhouse. Many thanks, Nigel, from a new viewer. 🪴

Yeah me too! I kept scooting forward in my seat. Trying to get a closer look at the plants. lol.

That would be interesting to know what you look for in choosing a plant for bonsai.
Cant wait for you mounting the shelves. Such a wonderful greenhouse!
Great looking store and the road going and coming is a great outdoor drive. And you were not going to buy a tree. In that store, who cannot? Great video!!!!!

And as he entered the doors of the bonsai shop, the worries about a full plant room were gone. Great video again Nigel 👍🏼
Absolutely!
When I get new plants I always worry about where I'm gonna put them when I get home. Always a good idea to get more plants.. haha
Yes, I have way too many now!!
Everyone seemed to have their eyes on those dwarf Fukien teas. I got one too. Love that Buddha!
It was great getting together Mike and it was nice to meet your wife too! Now the hard part, keeping them all alive!!
What a nice day again, with friends and so many trees not to buy 😅 the fukien looks really nice!

2:00 I live in Germany and never seen this before. And we have a lot of old Transporter still driving around. Must be rare.
I looked on line and saw a few for sale, seems they get around 20,000 American.
Will they also provide bonsai pots to India sir .
I was pretty sure you'll buy something. :) Those are nice new plants. Looking forward to see you bring out the bonsai in them.

Moist here since it rained last night haha
It's good to get a nice rain, you get a day off watering your trees!
@@TheBonsaiZone :( I live in an apartment, I keep all my trees in my balcony, which is covered
Wow Nigel! You showed allot of restraint. I would have needed a shopping cart. And to take out a loan. Haaha.
Nigel returning back "Hi Laura what do you think about redesigning the back by putting a 200 yrd x 30 ft Orangerie (it's not greenhouse)"? Laura " be out have we darling"! 😂

I didn't realize how flat it is up there.
Yes, here in Southwestern Ontario it all got scraped flat by the glaciers in the last ice age.
Monster trees at the nursery.
Yes, some large ones for sure!!!
