This is why you shouldn’t let just anyone sign up for this kind of competition. It’s a game. A sport. You’re signing up specifically to be slapped by someone as hard as they can to see whose a better slapper. That’s the very fundamental reason why you’d join this.
But this guy took that slap personally. He didn’t care if he won or if he was disqualified. He for some reason took that as a personal attack against his being, and he punched the guy back.
That wasn’t a slap; He geared up for it and put all his body weight and momentum into it literally from the ground up. He simply wanted to hurt that guy as much as possible, and he shouldn’t be allowed to join a competition like this ever again.
Since Dana White is a partner in this company he should do just what he does in the UFC, blacklist the person from competing. The foul severity here is just as bad as when someone attacks their opponent after the bell.
