I think it could also have tainted your little experiment that you are comparing a light/diet product with a non-diet product, where the difference in sweetness and fullness might have tricked you into thinking that it tastes better. A lot of people have trouble telling the difference between the regular products, and as Pepsi is slightly sweeter in taste, and less acidic, I think many people are tricked by the fact that Pepsi "easier to drink" (not necessarily tastier or better). I remember trying to switch to Pepsi Max at some point and it was so different to me that I really hated it. I felt the same between Coke and Diet Coke. The aspertame is not a real substitute for sugar taste-wise, and I think saw something about Diet drinks not being a good way of staying away from sugar, because while your brain is fooled for a brief moment, it starts requiring something that can fulfill the need for sugar that you've triggered with the diet drink. It's normal to confuse flavours, specially with artificial flavoured beverages. I had an experience at a museum with a visually impaired guide that took me on a tour that simulated how they live and had a cafeteria where your can't see what ordered and couldn't guess between a mango juice and a peach juice. I actually prefer Pepsi, it has a rounder more pleasurable taste, in a glass filled to the brim with ice it's quite impressive, also coke tastes more carbonated where Pepsi is almost flatter

Virtually all sodas have fruit flavoring as their base. Both Coke and Pepsi use lemon and orange at their base (or so I have read). Coke uses a touch more orange and Pepsi uses a touch more lemon. (Or so I have read)

Over the last 30 years Coke has been much more successful at branding (they used to be pretty even on that front) and the only reason you get people saying they swear by Coke is branding. There are plenty of inferior brands of cola on the market that taste awful but Coke and Pepsi are essentially the same thing and if you refuse to drink one or the other then you are a sucker. You really should be able to tell the difference with Diet Coke though -it tastes distinctly different to actual Coke or Pepsi.

In this book, one page listed many "-oke" words. And it said that "Coke" means "콜라" (sounds identical to "cola"). I wasn't that surprised, but it lacked any mention of "coke" referring to Coca Cola. I rarely drink softdrinks and when I do, I'd take Pepsi over Coke any day. Coke just doesn't sit well with my teeth. I have this feeling like it coats them and makes me more prone to having sensitive teeth. And one other thing...I LOVE PEPSI BLUE. Sad that they discontinued it though and can just find it being sold seasonally these past few years.

I honestly drink both Coke and Pepsi . Blind folded it would be hard to tell the difference, but u do taste a slight difference but still be hard to tell. What I don't understand is how diet coke and Pepsi would get anyone confused, the taste is way too different. Any diet soda gives off a wierd after taste that I don't like including diet coke and diet Pepsi. Unless they manufacture it differently over there than here in the US. But still cute reaction 🥰

personal feeling: Pepsi have more soda bubbles which cause a much intense texture, and less sweet taste than Coke

Coke Zero is superior choice for me. Once I got a taste I couldn’t go back to regular coke.

I love Coke Zero since the day I discovered it when living in Hong Kong about 10 years ago.
It’s more intense than Coke light.
Uncle Roger think that the different between coke and pepsi is coke is original flavor added MSG. and pepsi is another flavor but wok hay and also smell like added olive oil. This is why coke tastes better for more people because it tastes like MSG. Pepsi people don't get used to it because of the flavor of olive oil.

I rarely drink softdrinks and when I do, I'd take Pepsi over Coke any day. Coke just doesn't sit well with my teeth. I have this feeling like it coats them and makes me more prone to having sensitive teeth.
And one other thing...I LOVE PEPSI BLUE. Sad that they discontinued it though and can just find it being sold seasonally these past few years.

Why would you do a diet and a regular cola? The fact that you got it wrong makes it even better. If you can’t tell the difference between a diet and a regular, there is NO WAY you could tell the difference between regular Coke and regular Pepsi.

I honestly drink both Coke and Pepsi . Blind folded it would be hard to tell the difference, but u do taste a slight difference but still be hard to tell. What I don't understand is how diet coke and Pepsi would get anyone confused, the taste is way too different. Any diet soda gives off a wierd after taste that I don't like including diet coke and diet Pepsi. Unless they manufacture it differently over there than here in the US. But still cute reaction 🥰

I used to drink a 2 litre of regular coke a day back when I was fat, now I just drink like 5 to 6 litres of water. Not gonna lie tho coke was the top choice Your reaction was so funny in this video the shock on your face was priceless keep up the good work anna.
