- The first in a real world analysis series, in this episode, I first conduct Amazon keyword research followed by a full Amazon listing optimization and finally preparation of an Amazon PPC launch strategy for a product. When looking at how to launch a new product on Amazon FBA we need to start with how SEO on Amazon works. Amazon SEO begins with keyword research. SEO for Amazon listings ensures they’re optimized for Amazon keyword ranking AKA Amazon product ranking. We first look at how to do Amazon keyword research to establish the best Amazon listing keywords and then look at how to put keywords in Amazon listing areas. We then focus on an Amazon PPC 2024 strategy for the Amazon product launch.,

Another question, I learnt that during launch, it is better not to negative target your keywords eg you said in broad and auto, we should negative target our green keywords. What i learnt is that the algorithm isn't trained for our product during launch and negative targeting can actually affect ranking on these keywords even in those campaigns where they are running because Amazon thinks they are irrelevant. What do you think about this?
Hey Dan, Great content as usual. I had a doubt as I'm unable to understand the math behind this. If we are spending $100 per day and assume AcoS of 20%, we get ad revenue of $500. I observed that per unit cost is around $20. That's selling 25 units per day. If we apply $2 ppc, we get 50 people viewing our listing. Isn't 50% conversion (25 sales from 50 views ) very high? I feel like I'm missing something here and would love to get this clarified.

This is absolute gold. I have one question. Can product be ranked without ppc and what other methods are available ?
Why don't we use helium 10 instead of sellerize as we can reverse ASIN 10 ASINs at a time and it also tells the relevancy score so it kinda saves time instead of going to Amazon and searching each keyword one by one. Maybe Sellerize is more accurate? Kindly tell me about this

As always, your content is fantastic. I have just one question regarding listing color and size variations. For instance, let's consider three child listings: A, B, and C.
If A-child is ranking organically top 10-20 position for the X-keyword, should I use the exact match keyword ppc campaign for A-child only , or is it acceptable to apply exact match keywords to B-child and C-child in the PPC campaign? or even 3 different exact match ppc campaign for A,B and C variations?

For the first inventory, we only got 500 units, you know, to check the supplier, the market etc. Now, do you recommend having an aggressive PPC with 500 units? What if the sales go through the roof and I run out of stock in 2 weeks? Don't you think is better if I adapt the PPC to the sales velocity? The problem is that the lead time with shipping is somewhere around 2 months so I guess that's too much time without inventory, don't we mess up our ranking? I have seen your video where you say about closing the listing right when you run out of stock, but I was thinking that maybe if we had a better lead time, would have been better, right? Did you use only the green keywords which drive most of the sales in PPC only?
And what about yellow and red? Where are they mostly used.

How do I pick which variant of the product to advertise? What’s the best approach for a sizable parent listing like mine for running a smart PPC campaign?

Hey eugheniat, thank you. That's a great question, 2 things:
1 - Which variant (color) main images "generally" rank ORGANICALLY at the top of the results pages for the main keywords? This tells you the highest natural CTR followed by CVR on those keywords.
2 - Which variant (color) do long standing competitors usually choose to run for Sponsored Listings with PPC? This tells you which colors competitors have the most success with PPC (likely after split testing if they're well established competitors).
Secondarily, you could of course spolit test this with your own ads to evaluare performance or run a pole with a market testing service.
