I'm hooked, currently running Rustro 2.0. 1st one had 80amp hobbywing- it went from 70+ to 0 mph in less than a second.... courtesy on a parked car tire . 2.0 has a mamba moster and im thinking u and the mustang man are correct on THE gyro, thanks again
I've been thinking about adding this for a while in my 2wd Slash. But I also race with it too so gyros are considered illegal. But putting on slicks or straight street tires with mild traction and good grip and popping in one of these for fun every so often might be good too. It'd be also interesting to see how it'd effect a beefy truck when you're doing heavy bashing or a cralwer to see what type of stability you'd get. Though I feel like this takes a lot of control out of your hands.
Your rustler videos are sick!! I have a 2wd slash with the rustler frame conversion, it is set up for street and has panther burner tires all the way around. The tires are like slicks with no tread, super fun! But i am tracking down one of these gyro to cut down on the rear end sliding out on my when I punch it. I see you put your gyro on the back. My question is, have you put it on the front as well? And did it make a difference? what was better? Also any tips on where to find one? I've been
@Draven-have u had issues with ur esc shorting out? i think my gyro (esky 0704) had something to do with shooting out my esc but i can't get a definitive answer from the places i have gotten in touch with. My esc was at 95° when the unspeakable occurred. Going to run without the gyro when i get my esc back and see if i can last longer than two months
NIce info, will this work on the brushless system rustler? I just finsihed my 4th rustler complete modified set up all graphite and alloy. This would be a nice add on and maybe some fater speeds.
That's a sweet truck you have, nice video. I would highly recommend that you check out the forums (at traxxas or other sites too) to check out other batteries. Maxamps are fine quality but you can get an equal if not superior battery from someone like SPC or even Venom (crappy NiMH, good LiPo) for half the cost. You don't have to believe me but the next time you go to drop $100+ on another MA battery, pick up a $50 SPC first and see if you notice a difference.
I got this gyro for my rustler but the plugs won't fit the servo plugs to big to fit into gyro did u have to modify it to fit or something please help me n lmk thanks
Hey Draven i ordered the same gyro and it works great only problem is when i hit about 50 it begins to wobble from right to left right to left,when you do speed runs do you have to turn down the gain?

hey i curentley have a slash 4x4 with a tekin rx8 on 6s, stc conversion, durango suspension, rpm, savox servo, steel spur and what not, every time i get going about 70-80 mph (3/4) throttle it starts squirling and then when it gets sideways shoot into the air, what gyro would you recomend and any ideas, thanks vids coming soon!
Hey d money, just thinkn. I dont know if you have, but u should upgrade ur servo. Makes a HUGE difference. . HUGE! A Savox 1258tg is awesome. twice as fast as the Traxxas stock servo, 166 oz tq, and titanium gears for only 67 bucks! I run em, and LOVE them.. SUCH an upgrade to stock, and totally changes the truck.

I am building an electric Rail Dragster. I am gonna make a direct drive setup from a 2200kv to a Axial all metal rockcrawling axle. Any an all coments will be appreciated. I finished the frame, and now am looking at the drivetrain. I know your not doin full custom, but figured you gotta have some Bad Ass friends.
@GeneticallySuperior1 Amen, nuthin like payin $190 for a hardcase 3s that went poop in under 6 months and they refused warranty. I went with turnigy, it may seem cheap but each one I have has already lasted longer than that POS maxamps. And to think, $35 each compared to $190?

If your rustler vxl has the the TSM then you do not need a gyro because it already has stability control. Exact same thing. I also wanna give 18 million shout outs to anyone I can think of because it makes my video sound cool.. Later Dudes!!!
draven love all your vids i love the traxxas remote as well very simple and easy but i got a 4pks and let me tell you the handling with the gyro is like a real car i swear it make an extreme difference but anyway shoot me your number need a body i live in nyc
Why are you worried about showing your gearing set up , if somebody copies it big deal its just an rc car , all people have to do is have selective gearing for speed , and gyros in rc cars have actually been around in rc cars for a few yrs also its not rocket science

i think having the gyro up front will make it more effective as that is where the axis of rotation is when the car is over steering or getting loose.

building a speed Rustler that has the TSM receiver..will an external gyro like the one in your video work with the TSM receiver or is it unnecessary?

Will putting a gyro in my erevo with a traxxas receiver and a traxxas controller work? My controller is NOT the tqi version. If that matters.

you have it plugged in wrong. try to flip the plug the other way

You get more control with a "proper" gyro, I tried, using a heli gyro
