Kudos for keeping the tradition of shared family time going. Something lost on many.
Very peaceful and beautifully shot episode. Well done.
I enjoyed that. Nice mixture of family and relaxing nature scenes, mixed with appropriate music.
Jason
Thanks Jason, this one was pretty fun to put together.
I watched this before bed with a dram of good single malt and found it quite relaxing.
What a wonderful camp site. I admire your tradition of meeting up with your family each year. 👏👏😊
What a great tradition to have! Another great video
You have a great tradition going there. Thanks for sharing it with us!
Absolutely beautiful footage and your opening drone shot was phenomenal! Beautiful story telling; thank you for sharing! I like the new music.
Enjoy all your vids
@wab,
Will do!
Love this video buddy. This is what it's all about. Relaxing with great company and just enjoying the great outdoors.
Hello, my name is Barnett, and I'm addicted to this channel 😅
Great spot. That’s living!
Nice river and Fishing-swimming hole
Awesome video, that's why I love this channel. It something different every time. Your filming skills continue to get better and better.
Two items on your build out I really like. Number one is the stove/table on the tire. Well designed. And two.... swing out gas can bracket.
Thanks, so far I'm happy with how these have turned out, though I still need to do some fine tuning on the table/stove. 🙂
Wonderful Dispersed site.
I've been following you since the early days. Always good videos and love growth and passion you put into your videos.
Great video Donald
Looks nice a restful! Thanks for sharing! George.
Donald that looked like a great spot for a getaway! Thanks for sharing.
How you got them to “not” mess with the camera when you drove away is beyond me. I could never accomplish that… 😂👍🏻❤️
Haha, I made a BIG deal about the fact that all of them were spending three days relaxing away from their jobs while I had to actually work all weekend getting everything filmed. 😄
Beautiful spot!
coffee sequence was so good I had to brew a cup of my own after.....nice video Donald!
Haha, making coffee was the biggest adventure of the weekend. 😄
Ohh I recognize that bottle I’ll take 2 fingers of Woodford burbon. Even if it’s the Woodford rye I’ll be happy with that too. Beautiful campsite for sure.
Very cool you are keeping the tradition alive! I have been doing something similar with my high school friends now going on 40 years. We actually already did a six day trip at the end of September this year, had such a good time we're going to do a five day trip leaving next Saturday before winter sets in. We pick a spot to use as a base camp for the whole time.
That's really cool you have a group of cousins that have the same passion to get together and camp out with the vehicles!
Wish i liked my cousins enough for something like this😂
@justi,
We live hundreds of miles from our birth families.
Accordingly, we build 'family' with pretty much everybody we meet.
looks like you guys had a great time.
Nice trip. Great camping spot, very similar to Vancouver Island.
Good looking whiskey selection. Definitely approve of the Highland Park!
I most often go for bourbon, but I knew everyone else would probably bring bourbons and I love single-malt Scotch. This was my first bottle of Highland Park and I was not disappointed.
Awesome. The 12 year is great. It’s my go-to scotch now. The 18 year is excellent, as well, but harder to swallow the price tag. 🥃
Nicely done Donald.
Great video! Never underestimate the value of family.
This was executed perfectly. I mean simple adventure and relaxing time is all that matter, oh and the tunes got the vibes on point. Thanks for sharing
Nice. I was thinking to myself that my fly rod would be needed if I was in that spot. Thanks
Very nicely done!
that was another epic campsite for your annual gathering. love seeing cousins get together. continued travel mercies and blessings.🕊
G'day from down under, yet another great video mate. *** Actually *** I'm going to go one better and say I think this single handily is my favourite clip of yours to date ! 😲😲
so peaceful ... so calming ... so relaxing ... I've no real desire to travel abroad however this video has hit a nerve and if I ever came over there, this is where I'm camping for sure.
I always have a lot on my plate so to speak and most nights my mind is still racing with 1,000 thoughts of things to do so I don't relax much before bed. However this video, which I've now watched 6 or 7 times without getting past the 6 or 7 minute mark, has me dosing off to sleep. And I meant that in the most sincere way too, this clip is just so darn relaxing. Wonderful work mate, well done. And the footage from 9:50 onwards, the slow motion and selective focus work, stunning mate - absolutely !
That camp site reminds me a lot of a spot here in New South Wales ( Australia ) where we regularly camp, with the pristine clean clear water, river pebbles to walk on, the trickling sounds of the river ... OMG, it just makes me want to camp again. How lucky we 4 wheel drive owners are to access beautiful places like these.
Lets all look after them too for future visits.
Thank you for putting in the hard yards, the effort and the time to capture, edit, produce and share such beautiful content. Keep up the great work. 👍👍
I always really enjoy this style of video from you. Nice and peaceful with family.
Nice time, more relaxing when well set up.
As always loved your video
I need to do something like this soon!
Looked like a nice, relaxing time with family 🤗
Beautiful. Makes me wanna go fishing. Thank you Don.
Well
Done well done 😊😊😊
Great Video 👍
Beautifully done, as usual.
Beautiful family camping, ❤ Washington has some awesome scenery
I reeeeeally need to spend more time up there.
Boy, you like your coffee strong! Now I want to call all my cousins and arrange a get-together... maybe not all cousins.😂
Wow!!! What a great spot. Very serene looking. As an aside, I’ve been following you as you have continued to upgrade your rig. Great job it looks efficient and well thought out. Kudos to you.
Very nice
I always enjoy your videos (for years now), but this one was especially nice 😊✌️
Interesting to see GFC campers now offering an interior shelf kit/system very similar to your drivers side build...
Nice choice in Scotch! Try some Ardbeg if you haven't yet!
Adventure!!
One of the bands I was in here in PT was called Golden Sun Revolver (GSR).
@pal,
Pacific Time zone?
@@largemarge1603 nope, Port Townsend.
Nice video! You should keep a fishing rod in your rig, being that you’re along side a river or stream a lot. Would love to see some fishing catches and footage 👍🏽
I have a tenkara rod with me at all times, and I've used it a few times, but honestly I'm just not that into fishing. Plus I usually need to run around capturing footage so it's often tricky to find the time to just sit and fish. I'm happier filming other people fishing than actually fishing myself. 😄
This is incredible. I live in Vancouver and would love to find this spot!
Thank you Donald for another wonderful video. I was wondering if I could get some information on the coffee making set up you were using. Keep up the great work.😎👍
That is Stanley's 16-oz French press/insulated cup. Rather than making coffee in a French press then pouring into a mug, once you press the plunger, you just drink directly from it. It works quite well and the insulated cup itself holds heat much better than the insulated travel cup I've been using. I've been making cowboy coffee for years now while camping and when done right, it results in a superb cup of coffee, but recently someone made me coffee in a French press and I had forgotten how really really good that is too so I decided to experiment with this. There are a number of French press/insulated cups on the market. The Stanley caught my eye because of the traditional green textured exterior which takes me back to being a kid and early morning fishing trips with my dad and his beat up old green Stanley thermos (and also it was well reviewed on Amazon). There should be a link in the description.
Thank you Donald 😎👍
4:54 OKay 👌…..whatever you say 🍺🥃🍷🍹🍸🍻
😆
🎥👌
Looks like a great time! What was that pole sticking up on the front of your truck? At first I was thinking it was to check clearance but then it looked lower than the topper height.
Radio antenna i would imagine. All the aussies have them in that location
@@wildcatoutdoors Yes, it's a GMRS antenna. I had been wanting to upgrade from the tiny little thing that came with my Midland radio. A friend had previously recommended the Alamosa Antenna to me, and I stumbled on them at Expo Mtn West. They were offering a show discount, so that was my one purchase I allowed myself at that event. I have yet to get out on the trail since then so I can't report back on the performance. I'll be putting it to use in early November.
