I know this is an older video but it was super helpful! Dealership quoted me $225 in labor to install but after watching this I think this is something I can tackle. Thanks!
This project is definitely in my future to fix my chilly hands. Would love to see a more detailed/specific video about removing panels. I’m planning a DIY custom paint job and looking for resources on dis + reassembly. Thanks!
Hi, Lauren. Sounds like a cool project. The body-panels come off pretty intuitively, but you can get pretty good instructions from the Service Station Manual, which can be found online. Thanks for watching.
Those battery leads you installed need to be run under that red frame bar instead of over it. As the seat pan flexes while riding, you run the risk of the wire insulation rubbing through and shorting out. Since they run right off the battery, it would be one hell of a cool fireworks show. Im not saying it definitely will happen but why risk it? BTW, so far your videos have been very helpful and informative. You just answered all my questions about the heated grips - including the price and part number. Good job!
(Apologies for my weak French.)
Did you have to plug up the gas lines or are the ones in the front not going to leak gas? This is my only worry about doing this myself and accidentally spilling gas everywhere :)
Does your engine guard make V85 vibrate more? I see that it is screwed to the engine. Moreover, the engine moves sideways. Wouldn't it make worse in the long run?

Great tip, Christopher! And I'm so glad you are finding my videos useful! Thanks for watching.
Good tutorial mate. Thanks.
Thank you! I hope it helps!
Bonjour ,good job !

There may have been some drips, but no real pressure. That said, best to start with a nearly empty tank. Thanks for watching!
Do you know if you can get the ECU reflashed for the 2021 tune? Seems like they have retuned and given 2 additional rider modes, all software based.
They haven't mentioned it yet, but that'd be great!
Next question, how much and from where did you order the heated grips from? Thnks
The heated grips kit was $212 from my Guzzi dealer.
good job
Thank you!

Might. I'll keep an eye on it.
Ive not experienced any additional vibration with my bike. As it is, the engine is hard mounted to the frame anyways. No problems on long rides.
That's a good point. Thanks!
How long did it take you?
4 hours, but at least 1 of those was spent figuring things out, since I didn't have a handy video like this! Good luck!
Damn Italians. Why can't they install them and charge the extra $200?
I don't think there needed as much in Italy. 😅
Not a good video, just saying.
Thanks for the feedback. Super constructive.
