As for Cid disliking borrowed power but doesn't dislike his girls is because he only opened up their mana circuits and guided their flow of mana so that they wouldn't become possesed, the reason the seven shadows are so strong is because of Shadow's immense training and "Wisdom" as well as the girls hard work therefore the power that the girls have are their own and not borrowed unlike Mordred and his artifacts or the cult and their beads of diabolos.
7:32 he didn't give them that much of the power, they were born with most of the power as the hero's descendants inheriting demonic blood from Diablos/Aurora (as we know now it came originally from other world creature). Cid taught them how to control power they already had.
Idk about controlling his body temperature because he was freezing his A$$ off on John smith ark when talking to beta while the door is open for dramatic effect lol But still on the last episode he was in space which is colder lol
