Someone told Paul that Sean was bad mouthing him before he watched the video. Paul was expecting criticism so he took everything that way. Bikes and Beards is one of the more wholesome TH-cam channels that exist today.
To be FAIR completely. I have watched Sean and he did definitely did talk a lot of shit about occ. did u not see the first few videos of the other occ bikes? He literally brought to the attention of TH-cam and social media that occ bikes were crapola. That being said Sean has stepped back. Walked it all back and he is fully respecting senior now. And we should all do the same. Sean woukd not want a hate mob
If a camera follows you around filming thousands of hours, that can be edited down to make anyone look anyway you want. People watch condensed edited footage for a half an hour and they think they know the person. Criticizing an artist who has the vision and is able to execute what you can’t believe is possible is ridiculous.
No one is gonna mention Paul Sr is talking about a motorcycle that doesn’t work, sitting in between two bikes that don’t work, while using a mic that apparently doesn’t work either. At least Paul Sr is consistent.

So actually Paul Sr pointed out a few lies... the bike wasn't built to be riden and the bike was never tuned in. The bike was also riden by several people. There's 3 lies or whatever. I'd like to see a build off but they're both cool dudes.

It’s that “crazy miracle polish” guy (your words, lol😂) that showed up in NY when you were having some aluminum finish issues and raised some eyebrows when I instantly disappeared those dull spots in the aluminum on the Jets bike with the product I just developed. In the construction trailer outside the door of the shop you said, “If that stuff makes it worse, we’re gonna drag you like in an old western.” LMFAO!!! 🤣🤣🤣 I’ll never forget that. Thank God it worked perfectly. I think you guys were serious, lol. Edit: I understand you had a heated phone call afterwards, but I’m gonna leave my entire novel of a comment and still think when the heats subsides, I think you guys would actually make something together on this bike that would be really cool to see happen. 😎 About Shaun and the Gieco bike, I hope you had a chance to watch both of the videos he put out with that bike. That guy has nothing but respect for you and he is unquestionably proud as hell that he now owns that particular bike. He is probably one of the few absolutely genuine guys out there creating content with his passion which of motorcycles. I can honestly say that my impressions of him is a truly decent human and if you take away your assumptions and truly listen to what his comments portray and also watch the follow up video, you may have a different impression. You will never hear him claim to be more than he is and his self deprecating humor tells you all one needs to know on that subject. But no one can deny that he is diligently curious and through all the joking around is completely serious about what he does. Watch agin and genuinely listen to specifically what he is saying with your assumption being that he knew absolutely nothing about the backstory of the intention of the GEICO bike build and his assumption being it was a rideable bike which is exactly what happened. Then consider yourself in the same position as you’re going over the details thinking it was rideable and talking out loud in the process. THEN, watch the second video he did after gathering his research and discovered all of the items you’ve hit him with before he actually knew the true backstory. Again, I think this could get interesting because you definitely have the guy all wrong. Especially regarding his respect for you and what you have brought to the motorcycle enthusiast world. But since over the years having witnessed so many keyboard pundits throwing daggers your way that know absolutely squat about who you all truly are, I can sorta understand you having your dukes up. He’s on a mission to make that GEICO bike a genuine daily rider and when that dude is on a mission (especially now, lol), I have total faith that he will prevail. It would be awesome to see you throw in some support. Sorry for the stupid long comment, but in case you actually see and read it, I wanted it to be thoughtful and thorough. Yep, it's not Sean's fault that the widow sold the bike and everything for 10 grand. And seeing how Sean is to everyone on his videos, I'm pretty sure he was very respectful to the widow. Don't think Paul would have been.

Did you miss the part in the beginning where he was told they didn't care if it ran or not? They wanted it over the top stylistically not a daily rider so it was never built with the intent to be ridden more than a handful of times. I know paul is a somewhat controversial figure in the motorcycle building scene but damn don't hold this bike of all bikes against him
They were using the bike for advertising. It's all about the Brand. I enjoyed watching ol boy get it some what running. That bike would suck to ride everyday. It's more for show instead of go.

Either way, if you own a bike building business, and that business has its own show about bike building and the drama that came with it (primarily due to Paul Sr.'s ego), then you had better make sure that the motorcycles that you build run well. Otherwise, we're having this very conversation, and the business takes a hit to their reputation due to poor quality of the bikes they build. I wouldn't let Paul Sr. touch my bikes.

Did i miss something. I didnt hear that guy say anything bad about paul. But i did hear paul put that guy down this whole video. I just went qnd watched that video. The guy isnt acbike builder. This isnt a bike to ride. Heck, paul even said it...that the geico guy didnt even care if it ran. I heard the guy in the video critique some things about the bike that seem to be absolutely true. Not put doqns but observations. Paul also said the bike was never dialed in. It wasnt finished. It didnt neex to be. It just needed to look good. And it did. Sean is known to care about motorcycle history. He rediscovered the roadog and sold it to wheels of time to preserve it. Like he could have sold it for mad money.
My guess is the idea is the accusation this guy took advantage of seller because the seller was having hard times selling things way too low in desperation.

It is interesting, as a computer geek, i see Paul Sr. doing what some of the worst programmers do, same with his bike. Working at $icroMoft for 20 years you see it all. People who are pretty bad get really defensive and insecure when their code is reviewed, and will argue and condemn others for this or that, more to get the attention off how bad they are, get the focus and attention on others. Love how Paul takes personal offense to his comments on how the bike was built but none of his comments were lies. Paul went off the deep end on this one.
That’s not what the customer wanted. The customer wanted an over the top bike that’s never been done before because it’s a MASSIVE headache. He wanted an advertising prop. Which is what all the bikes on the show are. The actual production bikes that go into a regular joes hands were barely shown or ever talked about. Everyone wants to see the fancy stuff that nobody actually wants to ride instead of the boring everyday bikes.

Been a fan of Paul’s since 2003, and I live down the road from OCC road house in Florida. I didn’t know he had a TH-cam. I’m here and subscribed because bikes and beards shouted him out at the end of his reaction video. Love both channels and can wait to see them meet in person.
You’re saying he’s talking badly about you. Saying things about you. They didn’t say a word ABOUT YOU. They were talking about the bike you built. Whether you take that personal or not is your own problem.
His entire argument at the beginning is something like “my agreement was never to make sure the bike runs and is mechanically sound” - seems like a really dumb long term strategy when your high profile company name is attached to it because people who aren’t part of that private agreement will get their hands on your polished turd bikes and tell people your bikes are just polished turds.

So you shouldn't ride an OCC bike. And the whole story about the Geico bike is that he wants to make it a ridable bike. He wants to make the art piece fit for the road. Hey Paul, I was really happy to find your TH-cam channel. I was a fan of your show on Discovery and followed all the adventures behind each project. So, it was a great surprise to see your channel and know that you're doing well. Your new shop in Florida looks amazing, and there’s no doubt it’s a success. I hope to visit you sometime soon. I watched your video and wanted to make a quick comment. I also follow Sean's channel, SRK Cycles, and I can say he's a good guy. I believe there was a misunderstanding because he would never talk badly about you. The thing is, he's on TH-cam, and that platform requires a certain, let’s say, dramatic style. I’m not here to judge whether it’s right or wrong, but it seems that channels with more exaggerated reactions tend to get more views. So, that’s probably all he was doing. I’m sure if you guys got a chance to meet, you'd see that Sean is a genuine, good person at heart. Just like you, he’s a motorcycle enthusiast. As far as I know, he’s not a bike builder; he just buys and resells motorcycles, and his TH-cam channel is a way for him to document that process, which provides content for his videos. That's pretty much it. He’s a good kid, trust me on that. Take care!
In fairness to that dude... I watched the video and thought he critiqued the bike (not you). And I think most people who watched OCC assumed all the bikes built were ride ready (even if not built for everyday riding). That particular bike did seem a hot mess. I'd be curious now which other OCC bikes were purely for appearance.
I used to work for Schneider Electric and actually went to OCC headquarters to see it being built. It was a hybrid bike. That one for sure was for appearance and promotion (from the TV show and events). So I would guess that there are a number of corporate bikes that are rushed and built for show. Not daily or frequent riding.
They were all a means to an end for marketing not for riding. I never thought any were particularly good for riding and not super functional beyond starting up and going short distances.
@@TheEclecticHandyman During the show, not once did they ever EVER explain that the bikes were #1 not safe and #2 not reliable and #3, were purely for promotional purposes. Of course its common sense they were done for marketing later but the first few were not, like the famous Black Widow bike. They very much implied that the bikes were road worthy safe. Only bike enthusiasts would know better. go see what Jay Leno had to say about his. They are down right dangerous to ride.
@@spartanx169x They were called 'Theme Bikes' for a reason and not 'Production Bikes.' Many of them were hard tail and really uncomfortable to ride. They were good for farting around Daytona Bike week or exhibition rides, but these choppers were never designed to be road kings going interstate. They had to be street legal to ride, but that was a façade and didn't infer these were some kind of quality bikes. They were TV billboards for the companies that paid for them in a pre-social media era of advertising.
@@TheEclecticHandyman the majority of them are not good enough or safe enough for "Farting around". Sean had the camo Bike. It was utter garbage. A lessor skilled rider would get killed on one. Jay Leno's was also a complete POS. Just because it is street legal does not make it safe. Everybody knows what a themed bike is. That's no excuse for making a POS bike that is dangerous to ride. As I said they never once said "Hey this is just advertising and they should not be ridden. They offered no disclaimers until long after the show was gone and people could buy them used and see how horrible they were only when confronted did they admit "hey it was just for show." Just like the stupid arguing. Everything about that show was a lie. And Paul Sr is one of the worst as he still won't take responsibility for making shitty bikes.

But after Paul got done calling Sean a thug and a punk, whereas Paul is authentic (my word), I felt it was worth pointing out that more people seem to enjoy watching what Sean is saying & doing than Paul.
@@bluesriderDF To be fair, Paul's channel is less than a year old, not that it really matters. It also depends on how you look at things relative to time. The OCC tv show had its place in time, and has been watched many many millions more times and has impacted far more people than Sean's channel ever will. The OCC tv show started it all, and IS the godfather that birthed the idea of what all these motorcycle TH-cam channels are now. There will also likely come a time that some new channel will be the fad and nobody watches Seans channel anymore. That's just how things go.

OCC are theme bikes. The entire premise of theme bikes are to be propped up on display in show rooms - not driving from new jersey to California weekly. This isn't rocket science by any stretch of the imagination.
@@mikehikes710It depends. They made production choppers that were meant to be ridden. And some of their custom builds were meant to be ridden. But, some were for display more than actual use. When a business wants something to be displayed in an office or something, they don’t want to deal with a running bike that has gasoline in it. Either way, their bikes weren’t the best quality. Lots of wiring issues and low quality parts that didn’t work right. But none of the production choppers really had decent quality. At least Paul stayed away from proprietary electronics systems that many companies used. Not the best, not the worst by a long shot, but they were pricy. They did look good though.

I don't think you can fault Paul for defending himself. I just find that the two men are on different pages of the same story. The bearded biker, I'm sure had no idea the bike was built for "display" (advertising, not meant as a rider), and the bearded biker is under a different pretense that it's a rider. I can tell you with that blower under my upper body, I would NEVER ride it! Ever see a blower come apart? It's a display piece and it is beautiful.
I never had respect for Paul. He builds unusual bullshit and made it big because he’s a little (female dog) constantly crying about his fake deadlines he’s unable to meet his tv show that’s essentially him fighting and bullying his son for almost an hour straight as he careys on like my 10 year old prepubescent daughter. The parts are good quality on it but the engine computer wasn’t tuned at all. The engineer who made the system had to help the bearded mechanic to fix it and they still couldn’t get it working.
I watched this whole series on his channel and he actually spoke well of you and wasn’t trying to make fun of you or anything, he was just trying to learn what he could from the bike to get it running

You are calling him out for what you are doing... he never claimed to know much about bikes. He readily admits it all the time. He loves to ride them, and he had a dealership at one point. The shop you talked about isn't his, he went to visit a mechanic friend (because he doesn't know much about bikes). He also was 100% straight about what he said. He didn't slam you at all and left plenty of room for circumstances. But you are assuming many things about him that aren't true, and you call him out as basically a know-it-all all. His schtick is the polar opposite of that. He plays a lovable clown. His videos are strictly for entertainment, and it is very obvious if you see a few.

About Shaun and the Gieco bike, I hope you had a chance to watch both of the videos he put out with that bike. That guy has nothing but respect for you and he is unquestionably proud as hell that he now owns that particular bike. He is probably one of the few absolutely genuine guys out there creating content with his passion which of motorcycles. I can honestly say that my impressions of him is a truly decent human and if you take away your assumptions and truly listen to what his comments portray and also watch the follow up video, you may have a different impression. You will never hear him claim to be more than he is and his self deprecating humor tells you all one needs to know on that subject. But no one can deny that he is diligently curious and through all the joking around is completely serious about what he does. Watch agin and genuinely listen to specifically what he is saying with your assumption being that he knew absolutely nothing about the backstory of the intention of the GEICO bike build and his assumption being it was a rideable bike which is exactly what happened. Then consider yourself in the same position as you’re going over the details thinking it was rideable and talking out loud in the process. THEN, watch the second video he did after gathering his research and discovered all of the items you’ve hit him with before he actually knew the true backstory. Again, I think this could get interesting because you definitely have the guy all wrong. Especially regarding his respect for you and what you have brought to the motorcycle enthusiast world. But since over the years having witnessed so many keyboard pundits throwing daggers your way that know absolutely squat about who you all truly are, I can sorta understand you having your dukes up. He’s on a mission to make that GEICO bike a genuine daily rider and when that dude is on a mission (especially now, lol), I have total faith that he will prevail. They wanted it over the top stylistically not a daily rider so it was never built with the intent to be ridden more than a handful of times. That’s not what the customer wanted. The customer wanted an over the top bike that’s never been done before because it’s a MASSIVE headache. He wanted an advertising prop. Which is what all the bikes on the show are. The actual production bikes that go into a regular joes hands were barely shown or ever talked about. Everyone wants to see the fancy stuff that nobody actually wants to ride instead of the boring everyday bikes.

Been a fan of Paul’s since 2003, and I live down the road from OCC road house in Florida. I didn’t know he had a TH-cam. I’m here and subscribed because bikes and beards shouted him out at the end of his reaction video. Love both channels and can wait to see them meet in person.
You’re saying he’s talking badly about you. Saying things about you. They didn’t say a word ABOUT YOU. They were talking about the bike you built. Whether you take that personal or not is your own problem.
How much of a hand did Sr have in this one? Anytime I watched the show Sr had very little hand in them.
His entire argument at the beginning is something like “my agreement was never to make sure the bike runs and is mechanically sound” - seems like a really dumb long term strategy when your high profile company name is attached to it because people who aren’t part of that private agreement will get their hands on your polished turd bikes and tell people your bikes are just polished turds.
They were paid to make an aesthetic piece. If you owned a company you'd take it personally if people took it out of context. It's like saying my Mona Lisa doesn't smile enough. It's not supposed to. Petulant internet toddlers who never built anything themselves let a lone a world famous company think anyone cares about their opinion? You people just hate everything? Is there no context for you people? Do you not have any respect for anyone who builds anything themselves? Just stfu already, this whole angle is embarrassing. You'll notice the two youtubers he mentions are in the comments all nice and eager to get some attention from Paul Sr who I haven't seen on TV or anywhere in years it seems like.

I was really happy to find your TH-cam channel. I was a fan of your show on Discovery and followed all the adventures behind each project. So, it was a great surprise to see your channel and know that you're doing well. Your new shop in Florida looks amazing, and there’s no doubt it’s a success. I hope to visit you sometime soon.
I watched your video and wanted to make a quick comment. I also follow Sean's channel, SRK Cycles, and I can say he's a good guy. I believe there was a misunderstanding because he would never talk badly about you. The thing is, he's on TH-cam, and that platform requires a certain, let’s say, dramatic style. I’m not here to judge whether it’s right or wrong, but it seems that channels with more exaggerated reactions tend to get more views. So, that’s probably all he was doing.
I’m sure if you guys got a chance to meet, you'd see that Sean is a genuine, good person at heart. Just like you, he’s a motorcycle enthusiast. As far as I know, he’s not a bike builder; he just buys and resells motorcycles, and his TH-cam channel is a way for him to document that process, which provides content for his videos. That's pretty much it. He’s a good kid, trust me on that.

In fairness to that dude... I watched the video and thought he critiqued the bike (not you). And I think most people who watched OCC assumed all the bikes built were ride ready (even if not built for everyday riding). That particular bike did seem a hot mess. I'd be curious now which other OCC bikes were purely for appearance.
I used to work for Schneider Electric and actually went to OCC headquarters to see it being built. It was a hybrid bike. That one for sure was for appearance and promotion (from the TV show and events). So I would guess that there are a number of corporate bikes that are rushed and built for show. Not daily or frequent riding.
They were all a means to an end for marketing not for riding. I never thought any were particularly good for riding and not super functional beyond starting up and going short distances.
@@TheEclecticHandyman During the show, not once did they ever EVER explain that the bikes were #1 not safe and #2 not reliable and #3, were purely for promotional purposes. Of course its common sense they were done for marketing later but the first few were not, like the famous Black Widow bike. They very much implied that the bikes were road worthy safe. Only bike enthusiasts would know better. go see what Jay Leno had to say about his. They are down right dangerous to ride.
@@spartanx169x They were called 'Theme Bikes' for a reason and not 'Production Bikes.' Many of them were hard tail and really uncomfortable to ride. They were good for farting around Daytona Bike week or exhibition rides, but these choppers were never designed to be road kings going interstate. They had to be street legal to ride, but that was a façade and didn't infer these were some kind of quality bikes. They were TV billboards for the companies that paid for them in a pre-social media era of advertising.

Jay Leno's was also a complete POS. Just because it is street legal does not make it safe. Everybody knows what a themed bike is. That's no excuse for making a POS bike that is dangerous to ride. As I said they never once said "Hey this is just advertising and they should not be ridden. They offered no disclaimers until long after the show was gone and people could buy them used and see how horrible they were only when confronted did they admit "hey it was just for show." Just like the stupid arguing. Everything about that show was a lie. And Paul Sr is one of the worst as he still won't take responsibility for making shitty bikes.

The OCC tv show had its place in time, and has been watched many many millions more times and has impacted far more people than Sean's channel ever will. The OCC tv show started it all, and IS the godfather that birthed the idea of what all these motorcycle TH-cam channels are now. There will also likely come a time that some new channel will be the fad and nobody watches Seans channel anymore. That's just how things go.

OCC are theme bikes. The entire premise of theme bikes are to be propped up on display in show rooms - not driving from new jersey to California weekly.

@@mikehikes710It depends. They made production choppers that were meant to be ridden. And some of their custom builds were meant to be ridden. But, some were for display more than actual use. When a business wants something to be displayed in an office or something, they don’t want to deal with a running bike that has gasoline in it.
Either way, their bikes weren’t the best quality. Lots of wiring issues and low quality parts that didn’t work right. But none of the production choppers really had decent quality. At least Paul stayed away from proprietary electronics systems that many companies used. Not the best, not the worst by a long shot, but they were pricy. They did look good though.

I don't think you can fault Paul for defending himself. I just find that the two men are on different pages of the same story. The bearded biker, I'm sure had no idea the bike was built for "display" (advertising, not meant as a rider), and the bearded biker is under a different pretense that it's a rider. I can tell you with that blower under my upper body, I would NEVER ride it! Ever see a blower come apart? It's a display piece and it is beautiful.

You can’t say that you built a bike and didn’t care how it ran or anything like that. That’s just an expensive piece of useless art at that point. It’s. Bike that’s meant to be ridden. The parts are good quality on it but the engine computer wasn’t tuned at all. The engineer who made the system had to help the bearded mechanic to fix it and they still couldn’t get it working.
All his bike are just expensive pieces of art.
I watched this whole series on his channel and he actually spoke well of you and wasn’t trying to make fun of you or anything, he was just trying to learn what he could from the bike to get it running

You are calling him out for what you are doing... he never claimed to know much about bikes. He readily admits it all the time. He loves to ride them, and he had a dealership at one point. The shop you talked about isn't his, he went to visit a mechanic friend (because he doesn't know much about bikes). He also was 100% straight about what he said. He didn't slam you at all and left plenty of room for circumstances. But you are assuming many things about him that aren't true, and you call him out as basically a know-it-all all. His schtick is the polar opposite of that. He plays a lovable clown. His videos are strictly for entertainment, and it is very obvious if you see a few.
When this is all over, Paul Sr. is somehow going to look like EVEN MORE of a CHILD and an EGOMANICAL DRAMA QUEEN
