Brodie Smith Golf Ryan W I think you need a more expensive special camera for shot tracer because I’ve used the apps that are available for iPhone and you basically have to manually create the tracer path. So it’s a pain in the ass. Am I right about that Brodie? I could be wrong
Thanks guys. I grew up in Huntington and always wanted to play this course but never got the chance. Watching you guys was the next best thing. Thanks again.
When I lived in NYC in the 80s I played this course when it was in complete disrepair and basically a goat track, which made it even more difficult (if possible). I was happy to score a 92!
You just hit your second against the tree on seven and you looked really bitter obviously (as you should), but I actually wanted to take this moment to tell you how impressed I am with your golf game and content here. You’ve gotten really good really fast, AND you hit it miles. If your health cooperates, you could really get that handicap deep into the plus, and then from there, who knows. Thanks for the great content, Brodie! Appreciate the hard work!
Oh yea, and I’m also one of those subscribers who absolutely loves it when you’re being yourself. The negative comments on this series I just don’t get. Also Kelsey seems cool too, I quite enjoyed her holding the camera on some previous vlogs. I hope she knows a lot of subscribers do in fact like and appreciate her contributions to the channel. Cheers man!
Thank you for your game and telling about that gorgeous course. Even more magnificent in fall season. A pity the new PGA calendar didn't take care of it.
I don't know if its the camera but Patrick looks like his right foot is really far back from square. Brodie's feet look closer to square with the right foot maybe a little back.
I made triple sandy at hole #4. I won the hole for 1skin, triple sandy for 3 more skin, and three carry over..7 skin par... Great games. Enjoying the live game blog.👍
Here's my story about a triple sandy from earlier this season...first I remember ever making on a par 4 in my 40 plus year golf career. The hole was the 15th at Highlands Golf Club in Chesterfield, VA. Drive into right fairway bunker off the tee. Pin was back left...the fw bunker shot was pulled into the back edge of the front left bunker, leaving approximately 25 yard bunker shot from an impossible lie (ball about 18 inches below feet...feet outside bunker, ball about 3 inches from back edge of the bunker). The second bunker shot from horrible lie was hit chunky into a third bunker, which is the second greenside bunker to the left of the green. This time the lie was good. The third bunker shot holed for a miracle par 4! (My assistant pro called it a Bin Laden...going from bunker to bunker to bunker.)
Yeah they will keep the greens slower than you think until the tournament. They're gonna let that grass grow and then cut it down very low and roll the greens right before the Tour Pro's show up.
I live right by BP Black and played it several times. What gets 1st time players of the course the most are the elevation changes and walking down and up to the tee boxes. That extra little bit of lactic acid because you can’t take a cart is what I think affects most of their tee and approach shots. Brodie and Patrick look pretty athletic but I can hear from their breathing in-between holes that the walking is taking just enough out of them to make some shots not 100%.
Hey Brodie, fairly new viewer and subscriber here. I really love some of the courses you get to play for our viewing pleasure. Was wondering if you have ever played Superstition Mountain Golf & CC in Phoenix Arizona? There is an instructor at that course that posts vids here on YT and by watching his vids it seems like a great course and him as an instructor (Mike Malaska). BTW, didn't realize you live so close to me (i'm in Texarkana AR). Anyway keep up the great work and love the vids.
My best friend had a triple sandy at my home course in CT. Very short par 4. Hit tee shot into fairway bunker. 2nd shot into greenside bunker. Left his 3rd shot in the bunker (to be fair it was buried) and then promptly holed out his 4th shot from the bunker for a 4. I still hate him for it. Does that count as a triple sandy?????
Hang in there fellas ... I've played the Black course 5 times ... tough but fair. Did you run into Mark Crossfield and Dan? I think they were also planning on playing the last day before it closes for the PGA.
Your thing about putting out everything is so true. But also, I look at it this way. I putt out everything because, how are you gonna make all the 4 footers if you don’t putt 3 footers? Once you start making all the 3 footers, then you can start working on making all the 4 footers. And so on.
I like the idea of longer holes for the pros. I think a good course should have the par 4's require a variety of different clubs needed for the 2nd shots, not just short irons.
I actually shot the best round of my life at Bethpage black 6 years ago. An 8 over 79. +2 38 on the front and then +6 41 on the back. It was also the first time I ever PLAYED it but I’ve caddied it a bunch of times before. It was also from the white tees so it was 6684 instead of 7468 but still. I crushed it that day
Brodie Smith Golf I’m not sure if you ever mention it but you were saying how you can walk up early and get out on the black, which is true but you should tell everyone that there are FIVE courses at Bethpage. Black Red Blue Green & Yellow. Red is a dope course and you can actually take a golf cart out on it unlike Black. Blue is nice too, Green is like a shorter version of black they say and then Yellow is trash and I only play it when it’s the only thing available.
Just found you guys on accident. Your absolute honesty had me laughing pretty hard. Great vlog style. I think your goal was to make the viewer feel like they played the course and you guys have done an exceptional job. Thanks for the Black course preview.
Love the channel Brodie, some feedback. Been playing golf my entire life, the foot in the rough thing is asinine. This course is hard enough, why mess with your tee shot swing plane like that? Also, shot tracer, please, there are some great apps out there that are cost effective and will add a great deal of production value
Coffee in a cup for the grind. Oh, and the Bin Laden bunker trio was great. Great fun comments by both of you guys. Thanks for the smile.

This display of hackery...lol, really makes you appreciate how good the pros really are 4:03 What you're doing is swinging to the finish (your focused on the result and thats causing you to just get the swing over with so you can see the disastrous result) instead of the objective of delivering the club head to the back of the ball
@@BrodieSmithGolf at 5:11 in the video when you ask us to comment below about the triple sandy there's a typo in the text you included, which says "leave me know" instead of "leave a comment below" (i assume)
Your irons are fanning out because of your alignment. I don’t know if you play a sweeping draw but your front foot is way infront of your back foot. Love the vids tho keep it up!!!
I'd love to play this with you guys on your channel. Breaking 80 is a strong possibility!!! Bethpage or anywhere let's take on the challenge!! I'm in Columbus Ohio and the memorial is soon. Let's set it up!!
You better have tipped that caddie good lol... Poor old man lugging both of your clubs on that hilly course, you where out of breath just walking it haha. I live right around the corner from the course but im not fool black course can suck it haha
Black is a beast to begin with. I’ve played there and playing the tips with one foot in the back is nuts. Brodie is lucky his has so much distance other wise forget it. Should of just played the tips to see where you stack up against the pros.
Brodie Smith Golf post that part three. This is enjoyable to watch. There going to be pros that shoot 80’s there. You might have a career in this. You got the distance which nowadays is the most important. You should do a calab with George gankas. Think he can really help your game. Good luck.
I notice you spin out of a couple shots, I've had the problem for a while where I turn my hips to fast on the way down, i fix it by hitting balls at a practice range with my feet literally put together, it gives you back your rythem and tempo
This is such an amazing blog. Much respect to both of y’all. Small criticism: please buy a pop filter for your overdubs. As an audio engineer, these pops on the “p’s” hurt my soul a little.
shot tracer will take this channel to the next level as im sure youre aware
I’ve got some upgrades coming! Excited to show you guys

Kevin Stross I’ve used the iPhone shot tracer and it’s pretty good unless you hit a real bad one
Steve Don What’s the name of the one you used because whatever one I downloaded and used wasn’t good and I haven’t used it again since
Please use shot tracer. PLEASE. LOVE THE VIDS ANYWAYS
caddie has to be getting tired of raking sand.
The first couple of holes were pretty brutal
And carrying 2 hacks bags. That caddy better get tipped a wad
I think I’ve done a triple sandy but all three shots were in the same bunker 🤪
Haha I've been there before
Thanks guys. I grew up in Huntington and always wanted to play this course but never got the chance. Watching you guys was the next best thing. Thanks again.
"Tried the corner and missed." Subtle call out by Patrick to an underrated line from Major League.
Love the content and love seeing you enjoy playing golf!! been following you since the dude perfect trickshot battles! GO Gators!

Ha appreciate that
Pat needs to line his club up before swinging, he’s rushing it
Thank you for your game and telling about that gorgeous course. Even more magnificent in fall season. A pity the new PGA calendar didn't take care of it.
Left a like for not taking any putts. Nice man, love the respect for the game, your score and comp prep.
Thanks for the vid. Really will make watching the PGA a bit more interesting after seeing the course here...
Number 12 stands would be a great place to camp the day at the PGA. I wish I could be there. Excellent VLOG BTW.
Glad you enjoyed it David.
Pat got a Bubba Watson swag!! I can dig it!
One of my favorite tracks. Hope you enjoyed the true test of golf. Breaking 80 there is a good accomplishment
Love getting to see this course though! Good job on the video, and drone footage is nice! I hope to play here someday! Great Videos!
Patrick is *pulling the club to the inside* on his backswing. All kinds of anguish comes out of that.
I don't know if its the camera but Patrick looks like his right foot is really far back from square. Brodie's feet look closer to square with the right foot maybe a little back.
i thought I was bad at golf but after watching you guys I feel better now haha thanks

That is a really solid score! Well done!
Best series yet!
Glad you are enjoying it
I watch people tee off of the 1st hole at the Black all the time and they never know what they’re getting themselves into. Truly a great course
I loved the course even though I got dominated
Beautiful course and yes, I will enjoy the PGA more because of this vlog. 👍🏻
That is what its all about. Glad you enjoyed it. Make sure you watch the finale Part 3
Paddy those salmon pants kinda drove me crazy. Love the videos though. Keep it up guys.
Does anyone know what golf bag patrick is using?
33:54 a little Major League reference there!! I got it haha, great movie!
love the videos! i don't feel so alone now when i end up in those same spots on the Black.
Wow this course looks like hell, I need to play it
You guys trying to come out and play Firestone South course?! Let’s make it happen!
This course is likely to be the most difficult in June where all kind of tall grasses are at peak growing point, I reckon
You may not believe me but I made a triple sandy once.... on the black course at Bethpage. It was epic.
Pat was really in 3 different bunkers on one hole 😂
Does it count as a triple sandy if I hit from the SAME bunker three times on one hole?
what golf shoes were you wearing? Nice Video !!
I am honestly amazed with Patrick. How does anyone hit it in the bunker that much? lol
Im the same way. I find 12-15 sand shots every round. Thats in 9 holes. 🤪🤪
What shoes is Brody’s wearing?
Hopefully the weather will hold up for the tournament because it has been raining like every day in bethpage

what tees did you play from?
Patrick shoul've just worn slippers and board shorts to the course

Yea I'm a fan of that as well
Just imagine, guys will be shooting in 60s left and right come tourney time. Insane how good they are.
Not 1 foot in the rough though haha
"Time for a must hit good wedge shot" lmao
Great video. Brodie what's your handicap?
"There's nothing more exiting than watching someone getting absolutely destroyed on the golf course" Brodie Smith 2019 hahaha

I just wasn't hitting the ball well. Need to work on my ball striking
7 greenside bunkers on the first 7 holes has to be a record!
My first ever par was a double sandy. Perfect third shot out of the sand led to a four foot putt.
haha that is awesome. Something to always remember
Woah thanks for the reply Brodie!!! Made the day!
Your the best TH-cam golfer
I appreciate that!
Brodie Smith Golf thank you for replying it made my day

yea usually hit a draw or been trying to and it just wasn't happening that day

very difficult

It was too expensive of a trip to make

Hey heck bro!
I did a triple sandy and the third one went in for par in a inter club match to win the hole 🤷🏻♂️😀

Ok big man, the wheels came off a little it on those 6 holes. Time to regroup and finish strong
