Yes that one is one of the best and acted that one out many times as an 8 year old boy back in 78. I would record the show with a tape recorder and me and my best friend would act out the scenes. So much fun back then.

I'm 13 and this show has been my favorite since I was 6, The terrific acting by Bill Bixby really sent the show sky rocketing to success and so did big Louie and Bixby acting is the reason I still love love show. RIP Bill Bixby and Jack Colvin

Ferrigno said that Bixby was like a mentor to him as far as acting since Bixby had been at it for at least 20 years by that time and Lou hadn't really done any acting before playing the Hulk.

Because of this show (shout out to my late grandfather), The Incredible Hulk is my favorite Marvel Comics character 💚💜 Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno were a great team for this show

i'm actually surprised how he was able to maintain control and take a hold over the hulk when flying the plane. I mean, he was beginning to change, and become the hulk, but he was still in partial transformation, still flying it. Mindblowing scene.

I think he was determined to fly the plane and kept fighting the Hulk off until he did everything he could to land it.
The alternative was letting go of the transformation too early and everybody including himself dying in a plane crash.
You'll be surprised what the will to survive can stave off.
The script gave him great powers of concentration
The constant of ALL Hulks is this: pants that don't stretch, do. And shirts that do stretch, don't.

Loved the one where the Hulk got high. It was as if David Banner got the chance to experience the fear that others feel when they face the hulk. And ultimately, his fear of the hulk is what brought on his transition into the hulk.
When I think of the incredible hulk I only think of Bill bixby and Lou ferrigno nothing else. True legends. 💚🇺🇸

I was young when the Hulk first aired when I was older I got the entire series amazingly I remembered some of these episodes

The last transformation is one of the best pictures of how there was a mutual hatred between Banner and his alter ego. They are the same person and yet they cannot help but hate what each other represents. The Hulk is David's dark side made physical, uncontrollable and dangerous. The Hulk, at the same time, views Banner as powerless, useless, and all intelligence. Neither can escape the other, and yet cannot exist without each other. And perhaps there is a deep resentment that the creature can never be what Banner is, and in turn, the Hulk is the level of strength that David sought after yet can never master for himself.
Agree. But then, it's crazy when you think about it because The Hulk really only appeared to help Banner, or to help the people that Banner was trying to help, as himself, when he couldn't. Hulk never really hurt anybody, even the bad guys, and often was the deciding factor in getting people out of trouble who needed it. Banner, as much as he was out of control as the Hulk, was still always in control over what and how the creature reacted, especially toward others. His conscience was the one in the driver's seat at all times, and that's what made the difference.

My mum loved Bill Bixby to bits, and she was devastated when he died. I'm still sad over it, even though he passed away in 1993, three years before I was born.

Was about 9 when this show came on. Kinda scared me, but I couldn't stop watching.
The hulk outs were always my favorite. I love special sound. It was taking us to a whole new level.

If this list doesn’t include the “demi-Hulk”, in which Banner’s exposure to a radioactive meteorite alters the transformation, I’ll be sorely disappointed.
I barely remember how it ended but that seeing him half-changed was fantastic.

Yes! I remember it when I was a kid! It was awesome! Now as an adult and seeing all the recent MCU movies, some of the hulkouts are comical by today's standards. But There's no other substitute for Bill Bixby as Dr. Banner! He was perfect! It would have been perfect to have Bill in all the new MCU movies!
@r m it dure eoukd. The Hulk TV show had some brilliantly scriped episodes as well. I preferred Ed Norton's portrayal in to 2008 film, that had a lot of nice callbacks to the TV show as well 😀
The Taxi cab scene reminds me of an episode of Seinfeld where George was in a Taxi. I think he was acting like David telling driver what to do, lol. Thanks.
I remember the pilot movie when I first saw it in 1977. This was my favorite tv show back 40+ years ago. I still catch the reruns.
Best hulk ever he gets mad when he’s getting threatened or when there’s bad people he stops them immediately!
The last one was a trip. The psychadelic hallucination, along with David's trip triggering the Hulk's trip. A lot going on, there.
Another good Hulkout was the second one in "The Psychic." Being shot/grazed, then that fall from the balcony -- OUCH!
The first hulkout was one to because when David was hulking out in that taxi's backseat, the driver didn't see a dam thing.

That last scene showed how much the Hulk appeared to hate Banner.

Yea the reason why the hulk hates David banner because he trying to get rid of the hulk because he thinks he's a threat n a killer just like Jack mcgree thinks about the hulk too but he really a superhero ever tho he kinda killed himself n David banner at the end of death of the incredible hulk 😎😎😎😎
that was in the comic books. Hulk met an alternate earth Banner, Bruce Banner, and the Hulk went after him, then learned in this reality, Banner married Betty Brant and they had a son who beat on the Hulk and told him to put his daddy down and the Hulk couldn't hurt THAT Banner anyway.

Some very good picks you've made. But one of my favorite ones was when the Hulk tries to stop a woman from blackmailing a trucker and tries to make a phone call in a phonebooth. When the operator says please deposit 25 cents, his hand goes over the coins he has on the small table and roars I don't have 25 cents. The smashes the phone booth to smithereens from the inside.

I wouldn’t call these the craziest. I agree with 747 and Metamorphosis hulkouts being in this compilation. I would also choose Incredible Hulk Returns #1, Trial of The Incredible Hulk nightmare sequence, The First’s second Evil Hulk transformation- his pleasure was psychotic, Dark Side- literally crazy, Killer Instinct #2- in a purely ridiculous way…
What about the one where he ends up transforming while getting beat up in the wrestling ring and then he throws the other wrestler into the upper deck of the stadium?

You left the one out where the he changes in the hospital when that bad doctor gives him an injection he thought it was going to cure him but the doctor was trying to kill him the episode was called life or death. Also the episode where he changes with the motorcycle helmet on and it cracks open.
The hulk is like a metaphor for IBS: Flares up under periods of stress, holding back is futile because that crap is coming out whether you want it to or not, causes you to isolate yourself because you never know when or where a flare up might happen, always on a search for a cure going from one possible solution to the next without ever finding true lasting relief. 😆

I love how the FAA was telling David to keep it under control 😂. How David was fighting the hulk out to the point his face didn’t fully change allowing him to maintain cognitive control over his actions.

FUN FACT: In the running scenes on New York streets,..Lou Ferigno wore specially made green-painted slippers to protect his feet.
The best hulkouts are the first and last ones of the series and movies.
