Kudos to you putting all those field shows in one single vid. 10/10 SU, NSU, TXSU, FAMU Southern’s field show was amazing as always from the drum major intro, to the drill formations, till the dance routine and they have a real good sideline blowdown. The song Grateful was executed flawlessly by Dr. Todd and bands better watch out for his pen 😅. Also, the song focusing on the Dolls is perfection at its finest especially with those runs. Nobody does it better than the Jukes. 💛💙 Norfolk State has a really good sound especially coming from the trumpets. It sounds very grand and majestic like a true Spartan. Also them snaps and the formations are amazing. No wonder they are a fan favorite. 💚💛 Texas Southern did a really good job especially during the drill formations. They are really stunning to say the least. Also, their sound on their ballad, Unbreakable is actually really decent with the key change and I love the ending as well. Y’all redeemed yall selves from last season with the deduction. Keep it up Ocean 🌊. FAMU actually did a really good job especially when it comes to formations and the buildup with all that slithering into positions no band ever did. Y’all may be bad at the stands, but y’all do show y’all true selves at the field. The sound is also similar to Norfolk and the balance is real good and that’s coming from a SU fan. 🐍🐍 Tennessee State gets a 9.5/10 even though they do have a major improvement compared to the merge a few weeks ago. Nice work and I tip my hat to y’all. 🎩 Langston has made a good comeback as well as far as the field show goes. But they were close in beating TNSU though but either way LU gets 9.25/10. Their dance routine is good and the formations are too. Mississippi Valley did a decent job but their sound was a bit different especially on Can We Talk. The arrangement could’ve been executed a bit more for the intro and should have a great close at the end. Also, they didn’t show a dance routine and their drills are a bit slight but it’s still their first performance so I’ll give them an 8.75/10. Last but not least, we got Virginia State and their sound could’ve been more executed during the drills but the ballad is really good with the trombone solo. Also what gave them away was the sideline blowdown of Victory Lap and it kinda sounds high schoolish to say the least. Good try though Trojans. 8/10
Yea they have definitely played victory lap much much better. They definitely were off. Glad to see they have more tubas now. Only if they could get them to play louder and get some more brass
This is nice but it you upload the battle next year,, please put the names of each band before they perform on the screen because it is very hard to hear who the bands are performing. Thanks.
Was supposed to go play for va state during Covid. Kinda wish I stuck with it they could use a few more trumpets. I’ve definitely seen them play much much better I wonder what was up
@@abxsed7709and he mentioned how the band had bought hundreds of new silver shiny instruments that they weren't even allowed to use, so they went to Texas with old instruments
@@legendarytrainer5312 damn that sucks. If the trumpets played just a little louder I think they would sound much better really makes me wish I didn’t drop out during online school lol
LOL there are literally many different ways to drill. To say they were the only ones to drill is a misnomer. Everybody did a drill. People have to stop thinking that doing diamonds and step-twos are the only method of drilling. Based on your view if a band like Ohio State makes MJ moonwalk it's not a drill since they didn't make a diamond in the midst of it.
you clutch as hell i did not feel like looking everyone up.
I got y’all 💯💯
Yo, I came to drop this comment also...lol. #YouDaRealMVP
Batons, Flags, Dancers and the Bands were grooving and very entertaining🌺🌸🌼Excellent start and y’all have a wonderful season💕💕💕

Your comment gave me memories from the 5th quarter. Before everyone was checking footage, they were checking the run downs of the bands on the 5th.

Those trombones snapped on that Jill Scott song whew. TSU put on a show.
Which TSU 🤣?
TNSU
@@jamallsims4899The TSU that played Jill Scott…..like what lol
@@Chimalayas2000 I like both Tenn State and Texas southern! However I will say Tenn State is well balanced and powerful. People have always slept!
Thank you! This made me super excited for this season. All did well.
it is time for the show on the field, marching to a beat and dancing to the sounds!

VSU tubas punishing that ballad!!!
Tuba section over power the band, plus to many for there size, plus good luck against Norfolk state this week

Ok with drills no lie I can say Su then txsu. They was they only one I seen really drill in the video
All the bands did drills. Every band dont do 8 to 5 drill pieces.

Should of had each performance from its proposed side. Can't really judge
