Dyche never understood the passion for Everton at Goodison. He never used that '12th man' - opening game of the season and we show no passion and no desire in our last season at the grand old lady! first game of season we lost at home to Brighton, and yet the next game which we lost to Tottenham - he was saying about their new stadium blahblahblah - the man should have gone a very long time ago!
A bit deluded tbh. We are in an absolutely awful position this isn’t a good day at all regardless of what you think of Dyche. There’s nothing to be rejoicing about. The only thing that’s gonna lift the cloud over the club is winning games of football whoever the manager is.
Glad to see a bit of common sense with the set up playing wing backs which we should have done ages ago. Armstrong did really well don't think he needs to go on loan finally played to Betos strengths he's not great but he's a hand full when running towards goal through balls etc. Would rather Moyes over Mourinho one of the greats but had his day will not leave us in a good place once he leaves whereas 18 months of Moyes will set us up for a top manager to come in to push us on
Good points Baz, Moyes is yesterdays man at Everton and the fact that he is immediately available shouldn’t influence the decision. Thelwell input is a concern. If Moyes arrives I hope only a short term contract is offered. I am pleased Dyche has gone he drained all the energy out of the club but let’s not make an appointment now with long term consequences. In saying that if Moyes arrives it will be a damp squib but as you say it is a results business.
Show Moyes some respect, our best manager in the last 30 odd years and should always be welcome at Everton if he comes in when we are in need fair play to the man, should also be respected if it ultimately doesn't work out he's earned that
Nice to see young players ball on the floor seemed to bring the best out of some of the players. I have advocating wing backs for all season seems a no brainer given our centre backs and that mykelenko and pattetson strengths are as wing backs
With the exception of our purple patch in the mid 80s and that quick flash of success we had in 95, we have always been pretty average. Moyes provided a level of stability I'd never seen before and since then (with the exception of Bobby's first season and the season with Ancelott),, we have been bang fucking average, with regular patches of complete shite. Moyes is not my first choice, and he clearly isn't a long term appointment (if it happens) but I'd put more money on him than Sean Dyche to keep us up. So what he left for the United job - wouldn't you if you were offered more money, better job, foreign excursions and a nicer motor. 'Knife to a gun fight' - a comment made about the resources he had as the manager compared to all the bigger teams - he couldn't afford a gun. Regardless of who the next appointment is, I'll be behind them and if it's Moyes, I won't be a cry arse about it - moaning about how he ditched us 13 years ago. Get over it and look forwards.
@@Colin-wx7kz So who is your choice then? Winning football is good football and if it is defensive negative football then so be it. Or did you prefer we stick with Dyche?
Rather have Carsley myself tbh. I remember vividly Moyes never tried for 3 points away from home against top 6 teams. We went a few years without beating one. He plays not to lose the way Dyche does just not quite as negatively and can get us top 10 finishes instead of 15th, 17th and being happy.
If Christophe Galtier is available we should be talking to him as a priority, he seems to have the character and demeanour for a club like Everton but I sense from your tone Baz that the Moyes deal is done, if feels more like a sausage roll appointment than a steak bake one.🥺
I have no problem with Moyes. Are there better managers put there? Yes! Are there managers that I would prefer? Yes! But we dont know how available any of these are and ultimately Moyes is an improvement on Dyche and we are still in difficult circumstances.
Would have loved Edin Terzic .After a rebuild he would have the team (with some new players) play top attacking football. But Moysie was great in the transfer market and I have confidence he will keep us up.
One of your talking points should have been how quiet the crowd were tonight. It was terrible. You could hear the players talking to each other, that's how shit it was. But as usual u haven't the bollacks to call it out..
It's not mate. We are guaranteed to be in a scramble right til the end. We are so far away from the school of science , we play the first brand of hoofball in the premier league.
I can't see a new manager using long ball tactics again at Everton it was so one dimensional and boring to watch. Surely we we all want attacking style of football to watch. Ps with goals . 💙
Moyes will quickly fit into our club. He knows how the club ticks so he can start driving the bus from the moment he lands. We are in the New Year with a terrible points total and we haven’t got the time to bed in a newbie.
Fans were happy to sign an injured broja not me whats he done glad he going back we had beto who miles better than broja he had 15 min against wolves and everyone like he the best best also fans wanting moyes hope not much aswell kept dyche
I agree regards to Broja. We keep doing this, signing injured players hoping they will stay fit but it never works out like that. There is a reason Chelsea agreed to the terms of the loan amd that's because they know he's done. It's sad for him but he is just a broken player. Beto though is awful. I'm sorry but he is just really limited. He showed last night that he is just about good enough to trouble a poor League 1 side.
😂😂 you are joking right?? Beto is one worst forwards. I’ve ever seen. He is terrible. I actually feel sorry for him. He tries his best. But sadly. It’s not there
I thought we looked decent with the ball, not drastically different to Dyche though, we did press higher and kept possession in the opposition half thane we have tended to do recently, BUT, we were playing 19th in L1, interesting to see how the group continue to do against Premier League opposition. Seeing Baines and Seamus on the touchline did warm my heart, I can't lie, legends of the Club. Whoever comes in next has a massive job on their hands.
He left when the most successful manager in the premier league asked him to take Man Utd, you only get asked to do that once and he did give 12 years of loyal service
He hardly walked out for more money or something shit like that, he went to the biggest club on the planet, only a fool would turn down that!! Best time of my life being an evertonian was when moyes was there, top 8 all the time, he did the same with west ham, christ we have way smaller clubs doing well better than us, ie bournemouth, Brentford, Fulham, the list goes on
I welcomed the formation change but don't think we quite had the personnel to implement it, we need a more forward thinking midfielder and do our Full backs offer enough going forward to sacrifice the wingers
Looks like we will be getting Moyes but I'd love to see us go for someone different for a change and someone who is a long term manager rather than a short term. I know it's hard to get certain managers out of jobs in January but I'd like to think the Frikens would of tried. My ideal solution now would be to have Moyes in till end of the season and get Sebastian hoeneß in the summer and he can build us up in the new stadium!
You are denying reality. We are the most negative team in the relegation battle and at the moment we have nobody that looks like hitting the target never mind scoring . So we are in a battle for our lives with guys that don't look like they are up for it.
Some of our fans are still saying we have awful players, I just don't believe it. These are better players than Dyche was showing us. The new manager will need 21 points from 19 games. 4 wins 9 draws or 5 wins 6 draws. I really hope it's Moysie!!
Anyone who doesn’t understand why TFG would bring in Moyes doesn’t understand how bad a situation the club is in. We need to 1. Survive this season, and 2. Turn the squad over and climb the league next season - then and only then will we attract higher calibre of manager and player. COYB

Harrison Armstrong should be a regular, I've banged on about it for weeks.
