These look amazing! I've tried stamping with gel polish before and had no luck, but I didn't leave time for the polish to settle on the plate so may have to give it another go. Thanks so much for sharing xx
Clean the silicone head with nail polish remover. The dollar stores sells the %100 does a better job. Do it 3x and also use only bright colours or white or black and thicker polish works better if you leave them open for a few days to dry up some to thicken.
@@HamsterLife_EnglishLearning do you have a separate stamper that you use for gel polish since they say not to use that on the stamper I think that's what I am going to do is use an extra so I don't ruin my good stamper.. bc I really want to try gel and pigments 💙
@NonaPhilippa Would stamping also work with the thicker nail art gel paint? Or do you think that's not a good product? I do love this look a lot though ❤❤❤

I’ve tried stamping with gel and it seems to bleed on the nail. Not sure if it was because I didn’t let the gel sit on the plate long enough or not wiping the gel polish sticky residue off. Thanks for the info, I’m going to try this today 👍

before adding the gel polish stamp did u put a top coat over the black color , or u did clean the color ? On other videos when u stam i did see that u make a top coat ...buff it ..clean it than stamp ...here i did not see u doing this.
NonaPhilippa, could you please explain one thing for a newbie - why does the pigment stick to a cured stamped area and not to the cured black gel area?
Jaune Vask because she already cleaned the tacky layer off the black before (so no sticky surface). The freshly stamped and cured white still has the tacky layer that you use to adhere the pigment too.
Jaune Vask the matte isn’t sticky for some reason. You can also use a matte top coat as well instead of cleansing. Wildflowers has some great videos on how to do gel stamping. U can use chromes and foils too.
Fab video, I didn't realise you could stamp with Gelish! I guess if you were doing this on a client you would use a latex barrier to prevent overexposure from the gel being on the skin? X
When I've been stamping with gel I just follow the rule that the base needs to be lighter than the stamp shade. I don't really like using pigments so hope that helps anyone
Hey why is this? So she used black based and white stamping polish. How come she used white as you cant see it anyway underneath. I uses to do stamping too but curious with these pigments how they stucknto the design only? Is that because it was still tacky?
I used local nail polish for multicolour stamp. After stamping on my nail image was hazy. Should i know this problem's the only reason is my local nail polish?
NonaPhilippa Love this video! So just to clarify to make sure I do this properly before the stamping, after the 2nd black gel polish layer, cure black, then a layer of clear top coat, then cure clear top coat, then wipe the sticky layer off the top coat, then proceed to clean the nail even more to prep the nail for stamping? Thank you!
hi i tried to put stamp on my nail and i didn't work..:( i use Harmony gelish polishes and when when I printed stemp on my nail the print spread out and sample wasn't discernible... what do you think that is wrong?
If your stamping with gel polish you need to be really quick otherwise the gel polish moves on the nail but I would recommend stamping with normal nail polish rather than gel unless adding glitter or pigments ontop.
This is done with gel polish: you can use any white gel polish just make sure it's a bright white. If you wanted to create a neon gradient stamped design using nail polish I would suggest just using esmaltes da kelly neon stamping polishes instead. This video is just showing people a way to use the Magpie Neon pigments to their full advantage incase they don't own neon stamping polishes. But i wouldn't suggest stamping with nail polish then adding the pigment.
+NonaPhilippa Oh brilliant. I'm new to stamping so just checking out some video. I will have a look at them, love your videos, their so helpful. Thanks again 😊
Oooh...never heard that before. I was completely crushed when my favorite bronzer fell & the compacted highly segmented colors broke apart & blended horribly making it utterly unusable & not able to fix it. Glad I didn't throw it away! Great tip. Thanks!
Carol Little I can only think it either wasn't cured properly could be hand placement in the lamp etc, or just colour transfer, you could topcoat the black, and then buff the shine off. That may help. But do check that your hand placement is correct in the lamp as uncured gel can cause problems.
Yeh I wouldn't suggest just stamping with gel polish as its too wishy washy and not pigmented enough but good for an alternative and if you're adding something on top
JoMarieHartup yes that’s why I wouldn’t recommend doing this all the time or you could use a barrier liquid like the latex barriers etc. But I’ve done this once and it was solely for the video

I will do at some point yes.
Fab video, I didn't realise you could stamp with Gelish! I guess if you were doing this on a client you would use a latex barrier to prevent overexposure from the gel being on the skin? X
Just make sure your client isn't allergic to latex. But yes that will help with over exposure.
you are very talented!!! you do awesome work!! thank you for sharing
So you do not cure the white gel polish
Yes mines will not work with gel or regular SUGGESTIONS!!
does it matter if you use UV or LED polish?

Wow, I was just asking a fellow stamped about this and bam here you are. I love it! TFS. Can't wait to share this with others.
Never used pigment before so my question is how or with what you clean them from ur cuticle area. Thanks!!!
When using the duster brush you're brushing off any excess pigment this is included around the free edge and cuticle areas

I don't understand. Why does the neon powder stay on the white but not on the black? 🙈
