You have such a kind voice and demeanor, I really like the way you approach teaching. You explain things thoroughly yet easily which is great for beginners like me, and you just seem overall like a very pleasant teacher and person in general. Also, I find it so interesting and funny that you mentioned trying the scarf on a different side each time so you don't get used to directing your dancing to one side, as I've recently noticed myself and others perhaps subconsciously doing. When I 1st noticed this, I tried directing my dancing the right side instead and the movement wasn't half as natural or intuitive due to my obv favoring the left side. I've never heard anyone mention or put emphasis on this as you did in this video! I'm a male getting into belly dancing and trying to become at least decently proficient before possibly adding in different dance styles... and I did have a point but forgot and anyway now I'm just babbling hahah... @@arisyaaj1091 😁 I get it! The style I'm planning to make is a straight skirt with a slit up one leg. You can see another skirt that I made that is similar-it's a green one. I'll find a video where I'm wearing it, and post the link here. The skirt could easily have the slit closed; I'll talk about how to do that on the video, as a modest option. 😉 Does your mom belly dance, too?
