Stellar Crown, Pokemon's newest set just came out at the end of last week. I've opened up about 10 Booster Boxes worth of Stellar Crown now, so here's some thoughts I have about the set. 2 Positives, 2 Negatives, and 1 Question Mark for Pokemon and Stellar Crown!

I personally don't see this set holding much value long-term
Yes I feel like it will get squashed in between twilight masquerade and surging sparks and maybe forgotten
Don’t forget the likely possibility of a 151 reprint.
Toperagos plays a massive part in the newest anime series so its honestly fine long term imo

Couldn't agree more about lapras. Whyyyyyy did it not get an SIR!!!? It's all over the marketing and packaging for the set.
Disagree with the lack of chase cards. Bulbasaur Squirtle and Terapagos are good chases imo. 5000% agree that a Lapras SIR would have blown this set into legendary levels but I also know everything can’t be Kanto-centric. I mean we still got 2 Kanto starters lol. I am coming from a collector stand point, know investors may feel differently.
Since I play the TCG locals I'm able to get the booster boxes at 88 bucks each so I always get two and I think in the long term it's going to do well and people that are American. That's about 64 bucks a booster box

If it doesnt get a reprint the set will be fine. If it gets a big reprint it will be suppressed for a very long time.

definitely twilight masquerade, better chase card and just a better set overall
If it’s easy to pull it’s great for collectors!!! less money to spend on packs and you can say you pulled it. I think it’s bad for investors and flippers.
Its an okay set but wont go down as one of the better sets of SV imo.
Is it a bad set? No its not a bad set imo however its not amazing 😅
If meh was a pokemon set this would be it. Terrapagos, squirtle and bulba aside its a pretty bleak set 🤔
But coming right after shrouded fable is not a bad thing as generally that set was just poor

Agreed on the statement how they didnt make an exotic SIR Lapras to be the chase
Pokémon company holds to including and pumping up as many different pokemon as possible. I get their reasoning, but their stubbornness is annoying a lot of the time. Someone in some department must have raised their hand and asked why galvantula and not lapras was getting the SIR and pointed out people would be upset. Pokémon went and did it anyways. It’s like with this latest set. Let’s make latios a textured card and latias not textured so they look weird next to each other in a binder. Like just do both! You know it will make people happy. Or in temporal giving gengar the ex just a full art. If they had just given the gengar an SIR , that would make temporal top set in the whole block, easy. It’s like they deny themselves money on purpose sometimes.
You’re not wrong. I still want to believe the best about Pokemon but they make it hard sometimes
If they just made English cards as nice as the Japanese cards, the rainbow borders would look fantastic!
Stellar crown doesn’t hold a lot of value at the moment but I will say the art has grown on me and it is fun to open.
