If there had to be a hiatus, at least it happened immediately after the conclusion of a story arc and not before the peace talks. That would've sucked as a cliffhanger.

Octavian Augustus I tend to believe that Bowser is actually a Tarasque. Not the one from D&D, the legend that that monster is based off of. It tends to be drawn as if it has a man’s head, The red mane of a lion, green scales and a green turtle shell with red spikes, and it’s classified as a dragon that breathes fire and was incredibly hard to kill according to it’s initial legend.

I loved that, after they ended the session, Travis had asked Matt as to whether they would've came across the Dragon Turtle had they gone the other way; with Matt saying that they wouldn't have encountered the Dragon Turtle.

I didn't notice the first time, but I think some kids hurt fjord or his tusks when he was young because he went quite dark about nott asking if he had had a tooth pulled.
Hes admitted in the past to "doing his own dental work" so more than likely that is the case

based on the monster manual (page: 119) they can in fact be reasoned with; or in the exact words of book be offered treasures in exchange for passage

CR is it's own entity dude, doesn't need to rely on other IPs as a thematic crutch, Matt and the players are just, better then that.

I just had a thought, the look fjord gave when he answered to having a tooth pulled and the fact that he filles his tusks but they can grow back makes me think that maybe the mean kids in his past did somthing horrible like pull or damage his tusks? And that's why he would file them? Or im just over analysing. Probably that.
I think he was definitely thinking about that, but from what I remember about him talking about it ages ago, he "did his own dental work", and I imagine there was a time when he may have tried to pull his own teeth in response to the bullying he endured because of them

White Dragon's and Dragon Turtles are as feral as feral gets respectively XD. Dragon Turtle even more, however a Dragon Turtle wants most is the treasure in ships so they can be paid tribute and do honor the tribute. But while the M9 have a decent amount of wealth they don't have a lot of large pieces of wealth so who knows.
But this is Matt's world and if wants this thing to be able to be reasoned with he can certainly do so.

@@arithefierysecretary6411Getting teeth filed down doesn't actually hurt. His tusks might be pushing it because where the core nerve pocket of the tooth would be would close to where he'd have to grind them down to make him more human looking. On the other hand he was an orphan, so not a lot of money would be spent on him getting decent dentistry. I see the old manual pliers they used for that stuff and probably gave him the ol' "Gin for the workhouse kids" routine to get him too drunk to care they are yanking a bad tooth. Still hurts like a bitch the next day though.

If it comes to that, i hope it's a minotaur and either monk or pally. The idea of minotaur charge + monk movement is something that has potential.
He almost certainly does not. Travis seems a great CEO, but otherwise, for DnD, not much of a planner.
I think a back up character concept is something all party members are encouraged to have ready.

Damn Matt had me doubting it worked at the beginning. That said I'm almost dissapointed, could have made a very interesting ressurection ritual and dilemna between helping their friend and going to the negociation.
Kazad He prefaced it reminding that Fjord hadn’t died previously, and Revivify’s previous rolls for people that _had_ died previously basically needed to be above 10 (or higher).

if it hadn't been for his spellcasting modifier that 11 would have been a fail. As it is, it should leave a scar due to it being that close. Other than the location, it sounded like Matt was describing one of my migraines for the ball-retrieval. Does Matt get migraines to describe it so well? And did Marisha say "son of a beach" - because if she did that was a perfect remark.

Bowser's design was based first on an Ox, specifically the Ox King from Alakazam the Great(which is an adaption of Journey to the West), however the lead designed figured a turtle design would work better, as Koopa were already turtles.

Did I lose track, or does Fjord still have one more orb inside of him?
In total, three orbs have been discovered. One was found in the Merrow burrow under the Labenda (sp?) swamp, one was in the possession of Avantika, and one was held by the sea hag after Avantika's execution and their subsequent exile from Darktow.
Avantika placed her orb in the first seal under the temple on Urokazel, Fjord placed his orb in the second seal near the swavain (spelling?) islands, and then he got a vision from Uk'otoa thst the last seal was on the menagerie coast, a place he recognized.
So Fjord had two orbs, placed one, retained one, and now has vomited one.

I just got explorer’s guide to Wildemount today. The story and lore, and the setting itself are top notch. I’m a little disappointed in the new spells though.
Dragon Turtle? someone on critical role better research renaissance era naval tech and realize they had cannons in the stern and bow of the ship. in this case if I was Fjord I would order.
