That is absolutely beautiful! The ribbon also looks very nice, and elegant. The best part is that it's original...you see the same diamond tuft all the time.
THANK YOU!!! I don't know what it is about the folds and tufting that jus seems old and jus blah to me. Your piping looks modern and elegant with the tufting.
Beautiful headboard congratulations so nice everything is beautiful this bedroom is much much gorgeous you paint the walls and white congratulations good job
Simz thanks so much Hun. I’m actually in the process of making another one. I haven’t decided if I will film but thinking about it.🤷🏽♀️ I will probably end up recording if I get my lighting equipment in soon!!!
You did an A M A Z I N G job on this Thank U soooo much. I were getting ready to do a regular tufted king headboard, but I think that I love this all the more. Thank U Girl! When I saw your headboard I though that you had purchased this bed. I love it , and I'm going to subscribe to your channel. I'm trying to wait and do mines because my video app isn't exporting my video's, but just as soon as I remedy this situation I'm going to post mines on my channel. tfs! God Bless U and your family!
Ladeij Creations wow your comment is so touching! God Bless you and your family as well i will definitely look for your video so please let me know when you post it!!!
Girlfriend you did a really good job at that. Wow I don’t even know you and like I’m so proud of you. The old headboard was nice also you are my headboard creating hero!
Casandra Golden I probably should not say this but I get so annoyed at some of the headboard DIY‘s on TH-cam. Sometimes I can’t understand them I can’t follow. You are awesome and that headboard is the bomb.com. I really can’t wait to see the next one. And I mean that
What did you use for your backing? What were the measurements. If you used wood, how much did it cost? I think I read some where that this is a king size bed just as the one that I'm planning to do. God Bless!
Hello i used wood it’s from Home Depot and the measurements are 48x90 its pretty much the standard size for ply wood uncut. The measurements for the squares if i can remember correctly would be 9’x10’ with 4’ boarder on the bottom and the top. The wood was pretty thin i dont know the exact thickness but it is 10.97 at Home Depot. I’m not sure what you mean about the backing but the material is a leather like material from hobby lobby the cushions underneath is 3’ thick and then is 3 layers of batting all together form before i reupholstered there was 2’ and 2 layers of batting and after i added one more layer of batting and 1 layer of cushion that was 1’ thick... ribbon was at hobby lobby i chose the cheapest one which was 1.99 but on sale for 50% off... hope this helps any more questions let me know
Lisa 620 I can not see your comment to reply to it on this thread it only shows in my email. However I don’t know what size I used I’m so sorry but I can say it is not even an inch. It’s a little smaller than a normal size shoe string but the metallic color is what makes it stand out.
You is so damn good, lady u have a unique gift, & u have to be patience,& i know it must be enjoyable, to see the finish result, marvelous beauty, God bless you, you need to open up a store love it! !!!!!! Lol & love you also, keep doing what you doing don't stop !!!!!!
Ginnifer LeFlore I will try to post some for you. It was so long ago when I made this one. I am in the process of making a new one but mostly I just go to hobby lobby and pick up what they have or joann’s. The supplies I posted at the beginning is pretty much it. I used a 90”x48” piece of wood from Home Depot it was $13 and I got 3 2”x4” cut at 6 1/2 ‘ to create the legs. I bought 3 yards of black vinyl material at $7 a yard at Joanns 6 packs of jewel upholstery nails from Joann $4.99 ea.. the ribbon was buy 1 get on at the time for $1.99 and the padding was the rolled cushion at hobby lobby 1” $36 with 40% off coupon which made it less. I got 2 packs. And I added one layer of batting $3.99. Keep in mind this was reupholstered so it already had 2” of padding and 2 layers of batting. You can use any heavy duty staple gun of your choice electric manual or compressor. I now prefer the compressor as it has a smoother finish but it depends on your preference. You’ll also need a can of spray adhesive for when you place the padding on the wood to hold it in place. This is pretty much it. I hope this helps!
Fa Al for the Black I used 10’x9’ for the white you can use any measurements for a perfect square just need to be even on all sides. I did not calculate the white one but the wood was not cut so it was 96’x48’ so if you use 4’x4’ you will get 24 boxes over and 12 boxes down. Hope that helps.
Hi ! Just wanted to let you know I made this headboard in cream leather and gold ribbon, it turned out beautiful thank you for inspiration ! love you !
Brian Tru its a faux leather material from hobby lobby it was 16.99 a yard at the time they were running a sale and I got it for 11.90 per yard. It is in the upholstery material. If full price now you can always download a coupon on your mobile phone and get 40% off. Hope this helps!!!
The gold is just ribbon from hobby lobby I️ got it on sale when it was 50% off of $2 so only paid $1 for each. And in the corners of the box I️ used upholstery nails from hobby lobby as well at 3.99 per box of 12 or 10 I’m not fully sure which it was. Hope this helps. Thanks for tuning in!!!
Neita Mitchell the height and width is 48”x90” it basically an uncut piece of wood from Home Depot the $10.97 ply wood. And the 2x4 are cut 6ft .25 inches. Hope this help let me know if you have any other questions
UmberOne757 it has 3 legs 2 on the side and one in the center so the center leg is what balances it to the wall. Because the mattress and box spring pushes against it pinning it to the wall.
meltry211 sure! I used ply wood its 96x48 from Home Depot, leather from hobby lobby, 2’ and 1’ foam roll hobby lobby, batting cushion, spray glue for the foam, designer nail hobby lobby, ribbon hobby lobby, 3 2x4 hobby lobby, 1’ screws, staple gun and staples Walmart, measuring tape to measure the squares, calculated the squares by dividing across and down based on size of wood, regular crayon to draw on the material to make sure the lines were exact, hammer and regular nails and glue gun and sticks. Let me know if this helps!
Eventsbyexpression I just get regular ribbon from Walmart or hobby lobby calculate how much I'd need based on the wood size wide and long then I give a little more length to cover the indents from the nail and cushion. I also use a crayon to mark the material depending on the color for the white head board I did not. You can also use regular stick pins to hold the material in place until your ready to put the upholstery nails in. I use my staple gun first then put the nail on top of the staple for the tufting. Hope this helps. Let me know if you have anymore questions☺️
Where you are putting the ribbon on and then it quickly forwards to the finished product. Where it all of a sudden has bends? Also, is it just a normal ribbon or some other fancier type? Thank you so much for your help!
Q T the tufting part is just basically using ur staple gun to mark where you will put the upholstery nail. The ribbon helps me to measure exactly where my nail will go. So when I get the material and ribbon laid out I then staple the corner of the boxes and then take the upholstery nails and bang them into the space where the staple is. Almost putting the nail on top of the staple. Does this help?
Q T yes once you staple it you will start to see the indentation. I have another video where I used white material with the same ribbon method I show in that one how to do the staples.
Just Me I no longer have the footage for the video once I post them I delet them due to space on my device. But I will tag you on the one I’m working on now and I won’t speed it up so you can see everything but it may be a little long because I’m very detailed so it takes a while especially when I do the ribbon straight through can take me up to 4 hours I will speed it up some so it’s not forever but slow enough to follow. I’m sorry it was so fast.
That is absolutely beautiful! The ribbon also looks very nice, and elegant. The best part is that it's original...you see the same diamond tuft all the time.
Thank you so much!!!🥰
Wow!!!That's a signature headboard! You know you can get paid for your skills 😉! Tfs🌷🌷🌷
Thank you so much 😊
THANK YOU!!! I don't know what it is about the folds and tufting that jus seems old and jus blah to me. Your piping looks modern and elegant with the tufting.

Just a house and need to build a king size headboard and love the look of yours💖💖💖 when you say pipping what material are you talking about?
UBJazzy it’s ribbon from hobby lobby. I got gold but you can use any color
How much fabric did you use. Headboard is absolutely gorgeous.
Martina H thank you! I bought 4 1/2 yards and pretty much used all of it.
Absolutely beautiful, I look forward to making this headboard as well ! what is the size of the small squares?
Fa Al for the Black I used 10’x9’ for the white you can use any measurements for a perfect square just need to be even on all sides. I did not calculate the white one but the wood was not cut so it was 96’x48’ so if you use 4’x4’ you will get 24 boxes over and 12 boxes down. Hope that helps.

Hi ! Just wanted to let you know I made this headboard in cream leather and gold ribbon, it turned out beautiful thank you for inspiration ! love you !
This is soooo dope! I want to try this with rhinestones
Stacey Luie that would be beautiful be sure to let me know when you upload the video
Hi! Excellent video would you mind letting me know what type of material the black fabric is and where you got it from ?
Brian Tru its a faux leather material from hobby lobby it was 16.99 a yard at the time they were running a sale and I got it for 11.90 per yard. It is in the upholstery material. If full price now you can always download a coupon on your mobile phone and get 40% off. Hope this helps!!!
What size bed? What are the measurements for the boxes?
Bridney Bohannon king size and 9h"x10v"
OMG I LOOOOVE THIS!!! What is the gold material you used to make the boxes called? What did you use at each box interception?
The gold is just ribbon from hobby lobby I️ got it on sale when it was 50% off of $2 so only paid $1 for each. And in the corners of the box I️ used upholstery nails from hobby lobby as well at 3.99 per box of 12 or 10 I’m not fully sure which it was. Hope this helps. Thanks for tuning in!!!
This is exactly the size and height i been looking for. Can you please tell me your measurements and what size is the three boards underneath.
Neita Mitchell the height and width is 48”x90” it basically an uncut piece of wood from Home Depot the $10.97 ply wood. And the 2x4 are cut 6ft .25 inches. Hope this help let me know if you have any other questions
Casandra Golden thank you so much I cant wait to make this, hope mine turn out as pretty as yours!
Neita Mitchell you so welcome please share pics or video!!!
You did an amazing job! 👍👍
quietstorm1050 thank you so much!!! Thanks for watching!!!
How did you adhere that beautiful headboard to the wall?
UmberOne757 it has 3 legs 2 on the side and one in the center so the center leg is what balances it to the wall. Because the mattress and box spring pushes against it pinning it to the wall.
Casandra Golden Thanks!
UmberOne757 your welcome🤗
Hey can I get a list of all the items you used? I absolutely love this headboard.
meltry211 sure! Let me know if this helps!
meltry211 sorry 2x4 is from Home Depot not hobby lobby
Casandra Golden Thanks
Np
What is the gold things you put for the squares and where can I find it
Shyy Crawford hoppy lobby sells them they are upholstery nails like $4 a pack of 20
I'm talking about that long thread you make for the squares
??
This is a beautiful headboard, do you remember what size ribbon you used (width) and how many you used?
Thank you
omg its beautiful. SUBSCRIBED.
loverainthunder thank you so much!!!!
This might be a stupid question but is the mattresses on a regular bed frame . And where did you get the materials ?
ca bro not stupid at all. It is on regular king size rails but the have little post on the bottom to make them higher.
Casandra Golden thank you so much I love it
ca bro you're welcome
So you nailed the tuff in with a nail gun?
ladydede88 no I used staples nails won’t hold the material would come up.
O ok thank you even easier 🙌🏾
Casandra Golden one more question you said the staples kept coming out. And you put nails on top? Right
How did you put the legs on the headboard?
MiszLady 25 line them up on the back and drilled them with screws to the ply wood
Ok, I thought you used foam boards to make the headboard?
It turn out beautiful
Timeaka Wright thanks so much.
Beautiful job
Maureen Norman thank you so much!!!
I would like to make this how did you add the ribbons?
Eventsbyexpression I just get regular ribbon from Walmart or hobby lobby calculate how much I'd need based on the wood size wide and long then I give a little more length to cover the indents from the nail and cushion. I also use a crayon to mark the material depending on the color for the white head board I did not. You can also use regular stick pins to hold the material in place until your ready to put the upholstery nails in. I use my staple gun first then put the nail on top of the staple for the tufting. Hope this helps. Let me know if you have anymore questions☺️
What supply did you use?
Overall? Or do you mean material?
@@CasandraGolden mostly fabric. I think I got everything else
@@CasandraGolden thanks
Better late than never cousin. Great job. I will be copying you btw!
christlovr1 better send me photos!!!
awwhh :( i was ready to try to do this asap but it skipped the clip and now I dont know how to tuft it. any help?
Q Which clip you need maybe I can walk you thru it.
Oh ok, your explanation explains it very well :) thank you! P.s. this will create all the bends in the foam i assume right?
Q T yes once you staple it you will start to see the indentation. I have another video where I used white material with the same ribbon method I show in that one how to do the staples.
Great job!!!
