Chanting of Psalms by this choir has brought many to feel the presence of God🙏. May the Almighty continue to bless the Guildford Cathedral Choir forever and ever. Amen🙏.
Grant, Lord, to keep us this day without sin. Blessed are You O Lord, God of our fathers, and praised and glorified is Your Name for ever. Amen. Lord, let Your mercy come upon us, O Lord, for we have trusted in You. Blessed are You O Lord, teach me Your commandments. Blessed are You O Master, make me to understand Your commandments. Blessed are You, O Holy One, enlighten me with Your commandments. Lord, Your love endures forever; Do not turn away from the work of Your hands. To You belong praise and song. Glory, to the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, both now and forever and to the ages of ages. Amen.
Chanting a psalm is among the most challenging tasks for me as an anglican church choir, but the beauty of it is beyond satisfaction. Anyway, i am really grateful that this tradition still exists in anglican church...
Thank you, anne mcmahon, were I to "play" on words, I was a pianist long enough to perform in the Anglican Church of the Holy Communion. Music has always connected me with the divine. I'm certain it does the same for you.
Soul warming, inspiring and refreshing. It is indeed a great loss to the Anglican church though there may be hope for tomorrow if the church wakes to reality.
The sounds are both heavenly and majestic. It is a great loss to the Anglican musical tradition since, if I was not mistaken, the Guildford Cathedral had been dissolved.
today the culture of Jamaica is reflected in worship to hold this generation. Church leaders must see how to retain some of the ancient and wonderful aspects such as these chants
Was about to ask what the setting was for 'Out of the deep', but then looked at the expanded info and see that you have listed them all. So I thought I would leave a comment any way just to say THANK YOU! I listen to this during much of my day at work; it calms and inspires me.
😩 " SHEESH!.... To bad that all of this recording's background coughing and sneezing wasn't filtered out. More people should have sense enough to use cough drops or spray their dry throats. "
Soul soothing indeed, far removed from the present day noisy prayer and singing forms. The music speaks silently but spiritually to the soul. I am grateful for all the efforts put into the production.

It gives a sense of Heavenly Peace🙏
It is heavenly and peaceful
These Psalms have become part of my daily meditations. They help in my reflections. Thank you for the recording.
Thank you for appreciating them.
This is truly beautiful as a boy I loved singing the psalms in the school choir Uplifts the soul thanks for this recording
I feel good.
As an Anglican, using the Psalms as a companion for your daily meditations and prayers is highly recommended.
Fond memories from my high church days. Now belong to Free churches (so called) but retain a fondness for canticles
For sure a soul-soothing dimension to this splendid choir's performances.
Thank you. It's always nice when people appreciate the music.

Thank you, Olawale Taiwo, we savor rich, choral psalmody. "Hudson Bailey is" please, is that an existential approbation? God's speed to you.
Yes soul soothing!!!
As we had hoped!

Glad you enjoyed it. But Guildford Cathedral still stands and continues to carry out the function for which it was built.
Thanks for correcting my misconception.

You're very welcome, and we're glad it has that effect.

Beautiful singing would like to buy CD with this music
Is Guildford choir still existing? This is wonderful!
Technically speaking, it still exists - but of course, 50 years on, the personnel is completely different.

In my copy of the Bible it seems Psalms 106 is 107. Anyone know why?
