Thank you for taking the time to make this. As a returning player who is daunted by learning a new class and has limited time this is the type of video that keeps me excited and a loyal fan of lotro.
After watching this, it makes a lot of sense that the guy that created this class is now gonna handle the class refreshes. Amazing guide, i feel like i played the class already 😆. Good job 🙂👍
I wish the game was more specific about classes/trees/skills/etc. I'm finding the descriptions leave a lot to be desired on the Mariner, but I knew right where to come for great info. Thanks as always, man!
Thank you for this explanation. It is very helpful. Does it make a difference which legendary item you slot your skills in? Do you get more benefit from slotting something in your legendary weapon slot rather than your haversack slot, or are they interchangeable?
I will admit, when I was making my character I kept hitting randomize and I came upon this look and it reminded me of Daemon. So definitely inspired by him!
Love the guide! How do you get the little notification around the skills that tell you what is a good button to press next? i made a mariner and the moving square around the skills doesnt show up. :c
parry and evade actually is important more parry than evade. you can set up w/ engard and blade shield and get a parry buff making you harder to kill. the class item only comes from doing the books and pages
I'm playing on the new legendary server and it's been absolutely impossible to find a rotation guide for what's available at level 50. Speccing into other trees for skills like Marked Foes and Breath of Fire simply isn't a possibility.
The "En Garde" skill (at least currently) says it gives +100% thrust damage for 10 seconds. Was it different when this video was made. Seems like its useful in rotation to me (at least now).
Well to add. People are reporting that Mariner is scaling poorly at max level. Not sure why, but they are saying they are weaker at max level than 140.
I just started one (I already have 8 HL characters) I was wondering if, like many of these multi-role classes, if it was good in raids and other HL instances? Often, those who do a little of everything do it less well than those who are dedicated to a specific role. Your opinion ?
The only thing throwing me off Mariner is the positional requirement. Its basically the same problem Burglar has, but the opposite direction. For example, a red/blue mariner should be standing with the tank to maximize DPS.. which is odd. Good for soloing tho.
the blue and red lines look really close in dps, with blue having higher burst at the start, in which case blue would be better in situations where priority damage is important, can you show a parse using the yellow line?
It's hard to do a yellow parse, since the lunge skill is currently bugged and goes on a too long cd. The thing about red vs blue is that blue might get a little bit less value if there is a red captain in the group, since a lot of their buffs do not stack. Coordination will be needed in order to max out the potential of a blue mariner if you have a red capt in the group.

Maybe I worded it slightly wrong. I meant to say that the rotation is relatively easy to learn and relatively static in my opinion. You just need to learn how to input the filler skills.
@@ghynghyn4706 For example. I love the Blue Line Loremaster, if i get allowed into a group they expect a Yellow Line Loremaster correct?I was just wondering if it were the same for Mariners.

Thanks for this! Someone in worldchat recommended your video as a guide and they weren't wrong! A lot of good info here.

When doing the red mariner, while leveling should I go in the order you did starting with blue line or stick with putting points in red?

how is the red dage compare to other dps classes
