This locker had a crazy story before I even got to the live auction. It was a thief's storage unit, and even though the police took something of "value" out of it, what they left behind and what I now own is going to blow your mind. Jack, enjoy your videos and can see your mega-busy. But, what I would love to see with a collection like this is maybe a sit-down with your comics expert going through checking, comping and rating them. It would be nice to know, with a specialist collection like this, its general value and if there are some really rare finds......I feel sometimes like we miss out on post-video developments.

Holy Christ. You pulled a 1st appearance of Johnny Blaze Ghost Rider in that Marval Spotlight 5. That book is expensive paper. Grade it. You made your money back on this one comic.

Yeah I thought about that too, Jack. Certain things, especially the collections. Comics, the coins in the bottom of that box, the albums and the list goes on. While this guy may have stolen this stuff, if you didn’t get the locker, someone else would have. I’m just glad you have a conscience. There is no way for you to know at this point, so just pray and thank God that you did get it and that it may give you a nice profit…after all, it is your job. 🙏🏻❤️

What a locker! I'm not a fan or even a regular of cards or comics because we don't have that in France, but the pleasure you take in finding these rarities, beyond the significant financial aspect, really gives pleasure to see and I'm sure that the rest of the boxes will have other nice surprises in store for us!
Now, my first "little" complaint...
When we see the title of the video we imagine that you found $10,000 in cash in the locker and called the cops!
It's a practice too often used by other "locker searchers" to attract visitors and I appreciated the fact that you don't use this technique "too much"...
But hey, that won't stop me from impatiently awaiting the outcome of this locker, just as much as that of the sale of household items!

This was my favorite locker of the year. I know that buying storage lockers and selling the contents are your job but I love it when you find things that truly makes you happy. A good day on the job!

Gotta join the “not a comic fan, but really enjoy watching your excitement and joy with this collection” club here. Also appreciated you looking up comps on some of the books. It really helps those of us who aren’t into comics understand why you get so excited over the comics.
You shouldn’t feel bad, once the police release the unit, it’s all fair game! My parents house was burglarized and many things were stolen, many of which were more valuable to us in memories over the retail value. It sucks but it’s a fact that some people are not worth the value of the elements that make up the person! Keep up the good work!

Loved watching this locker opening...Had to call my son into my room when you started showing the comic books...he is a collector and has been for years...he was yelling and shouting at you about the ones that were good ones...LOL...we both would like to see what your expert has to say...please make a video of that too...what a haul you had...my son makes comics and has his own company, so this video meant a lot to him

I don't know anything about comics but I can appreciate the condition of the books despite how old they are! They've been cherished through the decades and it's awesome that they've landed in your hands. I'm sure it will be hard to let some of them go... you should show us the ones you intend on keeping for your own personal collection. God is good!!

The "Dear Mable: Love Letters of a Rookie" made me look it up. Looks like a bunch of letters back and forth between a young man in the army in WW1 and his "girl back home." The interesting thing for me was that my mother's parents were named Bill and Mable, and he was in the army in WW1 - for 91 days, and he'd barely gotten through basic when the armistice happened! The book itself isn't worth a lot, but made me stop and smile at some memories. Thanks!

I definitely hear what you're saying about being conflicted. As you say, the police passed it and the storage facility passed it. Still, when you find lock picks and and hard drugs evidence it does make one pause. No garbage to speak of at least.
I’d be concerned this might be stolen property, but if the items were insured, the original owners got paid. Very exciting finds!

That green book in that landway Bag can have a cover that is painted with a poisonous green plant (orpiment and indigo) so be careful with it you never know with old books ( 25:33 )

I'm sure you already know by now, but that Marvel Spotlight 5 is a huge book. First Ghost Rider.

I know you probably already know by now, but in case you don't, that Marshall goes for around $500 used. And white is rare for Marshall. They usually only do white as limited runs. And it's a valve amp meaning it uses transistor tubes in it's power state and not a computer chip set like a solid state amp, so be careful when moving it as the tubes can shake loose from their socket, fall out and shatter. Tubes are expensive to replace depending on the tube size. So avoid dropping it obviously but also jarring it hard, letting it fall over from tipping etc.
If you search Marshall Class 5 1x10 valve amp white, you should see an example that sold on Reverb for about $500-550 if I remember correctly.
Valve amplifiers are past the beginner levels and are intended more for studio recordings and live use. I bought a Fender Hotrod Deluxe 1x12 valve amp, slightly bigger than that Marshall and used it cost me around $650.
I'm a little late to this video, but I loved It! I've been a comic book collector for almost 50 years and a good chunk of my collection is The Hulk. I was hoping for a #181 for you. Maybe next video. That Hulk #102 is a good one, also.

If you need confirmation give it to God he will show you that it's ok and like you said you never know where the contents came from and you are just doing your job and supporting your family. Bro, this is your livelihood. I'm sure you do your best to get stuff back to thise who may really need or want. You're right because you don't know if it's stolen items AND when you paid for it voids all ownership to the locker's contents. My question is, what's up with the 10k...?
Easily $10k in comics in there. Hard to know from the video, as I researched it later, but I'll do a recap and cover some of the best ones and their worth.
When you find a wrinkled comic book or anything made of paper, iron it with a piece of typing paper or tissue paper over the pages. Make sure to use a dry iron set on medium heat. Just a hint from Granny! ♥♥♥

UNOFFICIAL OPINION: Apparently the police already have been in that unit so I assume (yes I know what that means) they were not interested in the "stuff" and if they were - they would have impounded the whole unit. So it is your unit's contents to do with as you see fit. Great unit by the way. I appreciate the honesty and integrity that you have

Jack, what can you do if these things were indeed stolen? It's not like you can post an ad asking if anyone had a large comic book collection stolen from them! If you did that you'd have every crazy person hitting you up. If on the other hand each box had a " property of" name and address on it that differed from the owner of the locker, that might be another story, but they don't, so all you can do is say a prayer for them and ask God to continue to bless them. While I am thrilled for you that you knocked it out of the park with this unit and were able to geek out over the massive comic book score, my OCD is kicking into overdrive wondering what happened to part 2 of the estate sale that I thought was coming out before another storage unit video! Lmao! I even checked to see if I missed it and wasn't notified! Oh well, either way, part 2 of this locker or the estate sale will be highly anticipated! Congrats!
Hi, Jack, what a cool locker! You can’t beat yourself up over the chance that some of the items in the locker were gotten by less-than-honest means. If the police were there and searched the locker prior to the sale, then pretty much anything that could be done was done. I have been the victim of two burglaries in my lifetime. While initially I was really upset, I came to the realization that they were just things and could be replaced. The one thing that still bothers me to this day was that the first time they took my original engagement ring. I did get a new one, but it doesn’t have the same sentimental meaning. So don’t go feeling guilty or bad for your purchase. Just enjoy your locker!
Comics aren't as big in the UK, but this locker is something else, crazy amounts of comics, super cool as well, I used to get hard back Batman annuals and comics, probs my favourite Superhero. Just have to say though, was a little confused with the title, I thought by the title you found $10,000 and had to call the cops, so not sure what you meant with the title, unless you mean whatever was taken out or the comics are worth $10,000. Either way this is a crazy locker, can understand when you know the background of the locker it kinda puts a bit of a shadow on the finds but sometimes that's just the way it goes.
