Love this content, thank you. Fingers crossed you’re making a video in 3 months “DJU has improved his completion percentage dramatically… but how did he do it? Let’s break it down”
Man this guy is the best in the business. we are lucky he is a nole fan. Can't wait until he can do these type of videos consistently again. THanks so much
Kev- you have no idea how much happiness and excitement your videos bring me. Thanks so much for being so incredible at your craft. Have the best week!
Good analysis. It seems FSU is also utilizing a more west coast scheme with the RBs to leverage his game. Another attacking component will be the play action I feel. If FSU are run heavy, they'll have to respect it, and that will open it up more. I think FSU is going to send a message Saturday. Buckle up boys and girls, it's almost here.
Great vid. A suggestion for the editing: in the intro, the music is at times overpowering the narration until it is faded down and it is distracting. One trick to be able to keep background music at a higher level without detracting from the speach is to use side chain compression. Use the voice track to activate the compressor and squash the music track. Whenever words occur, the music is instantly reduced. This plays a mind trick where the music appears to stay at a constant volume while letting the narration come through. Xs and noles is my fav sports channel. Keep em coming :)
Cool thanks for the tip. I've cut the middle registers out of all the music and it can still be distracting but no music makes the video feel bare. I'll try this! Thanks again and let me know if you have any other suggestions.
What is the record prediction this year Kevin? Also it's a good sign when Xs and Noles is uploading content again. I am really worried about the WR Corp so we need DJU to ball out hard.
Always dig how you wrap up the videos! From what you presented, I think our OL should give him plenty of time in 9 of the games. When he doesn’t have an OL advantage, do you think FSU’s personal still are a good fit to keep him working his strengths rather than exposing weaknesses?
Receiver Error was a major factor that brought down JT's ratings. While DJU and JT have very different skill sets but arguably bring similar value, hopefully our receivers will be more consistent catching the ball b/c we wont have the luxury of having Jordan's ability to keep plays alive through his scrambling and running skill. I definately have confidence in him, this team and most of all our coaching Staff! GO NOLES!!!!
Love the content Kevin. The biggest concern that I have come away with is not with stats, but if he can put the team on his back when needed and make the offense go. If we get down by 10 to 14 points, like we did a handful of times last year, can he bring us back? Can he take over a game? If he can do that, then we are in the playoffs.
Would we consider Norvell’s offense a pro-style offense? DJ seemed to thrive in a lot of those under center/pistol formations and concepts - with an emphasis on the run game and PA passing - in Oregon State.
It resembles a pro style more and more every year imo. I think they technically would be a "power spread" team in years past but it's really splitting hairs. If they run more under center this year than it will seem very pro style
So in other words, we are still going to see 12 and 13 personnel but I feel we should spread them out in 11 or empty but I guess it will be 12 because we are going to have to run the ball
@@XsandNoles I have been around football my whole life from Peewee league to college level and the Indepth knowledge of both sides of the ball is very impressive. You know the average fan doesn't have a clue when you talk about cover 2,3,4 and many other formations. I wish you would make a video that describes all the basic formations the D and O line up in. I assure you it would be heavily watched.
According to F+ the offense was worse this past season compared to 2022. I'm not t trying to be snarky just genuinely curious. Why do you think that was?
@@XsandNoles Our offense this past season is irrelevant to my claims about DJU as an individual. DJ wasn't good last year either. As far as Clemson's offensive regression last season there is a myriad of factors, OL and OL coaching was very poor, played with a hodgepodge of OLineman due to injuries, no real dynamic threat at WR especially with Cole Turner and Antonio Williams out nearly the whole year as well as Stellato and Brown playing injured. Cade did not protect the football and played similarly to DJ, slow, panicky, indecisive, he is young and definitely has far more upside than DJ does now however that doesnt matter for FSUs sake. DJ is a good dude so I wish him the best I just don't see a way he improves much, if any. This is his 5th year and he has not gotten better, everyone can't be great.
3 schools 3 yrs no real loyalty only to himself. It showed in the @$$ kicking FSU got. He missed a ton of targets and straight up had easy opens and missed.
Love this content, thank you. Fingers crossed you’re making a video in 3 months “DJU has improved his completion percentage dramatically… but how did he do it? Let’s break it down”
Haha I'm not worried about completion percentage as long as they're pushing the ball downfield. Low int would be a bigger factor for me
@@XsandNoles damn Kev, god speed to us both this season 😂

Thanks for the kind words! This fall is crazy for me but hopefully I can still get these out regularly!
DJ sux Ballz
Pretty much a GOATed offseason title for a video. I suggest this channel to any football fans I talk to even if they don't like FSU, keep it up Kev!
Thanks for the support! Are you talking the title or thumbnail? I thought DJU2 electric boogaloo was pretty funny haha
You guys are definitely my favorite group within fsu twitter/insider stuff. Good shit.

Mike norvell offense always has been fascinated since his days at Memphis
Thank you for making videos for the fans ❤
I'll comment every season. Thank you for your awesome analysis and awesome edits. Love your work man. Seminole Nation appreciates your hard work.
Can we please for the love of god run a slant play
Been waiting on this. Thanks Kev
Great work!
I have loved your videos since the beginning. Here's hoping for another great year. Time to pound from the ground.
This is why I come to X’s and Noles. Thanks
Great video Kev keep them coming and GO NOLES🏹🏹🏹
Great work, Kevin.I always enjoyed your analysis
I think if you expanded your content to the entire cfb landscape you would find immense success. Great content and very insightful.
I've wanted to do that for a while but noles247 pays me and I don't have time for two videos a week haha

10-2. I'm a bit limited this semester because I'm writing my dissertation but hopefully I'll be back in full force soon!
Good job young man

If this team doesn't win the LOS I think those are games they lose. JT was able to bail out the OL way more than people realize imo

His come from behind metrics aren't great. I think you need to put him in positions to be comfortable

Not super worried. Coach Norvell adjusts his offense to fit the talent vs pigeon hole-ing into a system.
So in other words, we are still going to see 12 and 13 personnel but I feel we should spread them out in 11 or empty but I guess it will be 12 because we are going to have to run the ball
definitely maybe
DJ just has to be himself and he'll thrive with Mike calling the plays. Get ready my G, you going to the nfl next.
How was he a 5 star out of high school if his mechanics are bad?
Arm talent, size, athleticism. It's about projecting pro potential and he's got all the tools that pros love.
U gonna be in ireland og?
Naw I have a newborn who we didn't wanna drag out there yet. Next time!

Why aren't you a coach? You clearly have the knowledge... there tons of high schools that need coaches.

As a Clemson fan, no. He stinks. He is slow, indecisive/panic stricken, has poor accuracy, and decision making, other than that he's solid.
