Enjoyed the video. I am a one camera guy at baseball. I used a 5D3 with the old ef 100-400 mark 2 for years. Love the zoom option. Sometimes a problem for a team photo if parents block me . Team pics at the100mm end needs some space. Lately, for baseball, I have been using the R7 with the 100-500 for better reach. I also put the R6 on it too for softball (smaller area). R7 with 100-500 has to go to the shop, so I will have to rely on my old ef 300 on my 1DX or 5D3 until the R7 and 100-500 get serviced. Happy shooting
I was a one camera and still pretty much only one camera for the most part. Hate to hear that about your gear but hopefully itll be fixed soon. Happy shooting to you as well!
Thanks for the insight on your workflow Derek.. I'm out here planning to shoot Melbourne Winter Baseball down here in Australia
Glad I could help in some way! Thanks for watching.
Can you make a video on how you became the sports photographer for a college?
I think I have in the past sort of but good idea. I’ll plan to make an updated video soon now that I probably have way more subs now so def should.
@@DLivingston thanks!
Have you done a what’s in my camera bag video for 2024 be great to see if you have time 👍
I have not and to be honest, that a great idea. I have new gear vs the older "whats in my bag" video.
How I wish the 100-300 2.8 was affordable ha
Nice video
Oh and its 70 degrees in Mississippi 😊
I think we will be close to 70 today as well but man, baseball in the high 30s and wind is not fun!
I agree, the 100-300 would be great! I used to have the Sigma 120-300 f2.8 when I shot with Nikon and it was the best! Thanks for swinging by!
@@DLivingston i currently use the same Sigma lens and I'm very satisfied with it. I'm tempted by the Canon RF 100-300 f/2.8 but at $10k i think I'll buy a car. Besides, i don't see a ROI at the moment. My Sigma and R5 are getting me the same results compared to people using the RF version. It's just a bit slower when it comes to fps. Thanks for posting cool vids.
I feel that. The price is a bit steep even when making ROI at a decent rate. Thanks for watching!
