I'm sorry you tried to play a game how you wanted and got attacked by people who get pissed off at everything they see lol. I played this in VR when it came out and I'm considering getting this mod because the fact that it's VR makes me not want to play it again. Too much setup for too little payoff
Alyx without VR is just a very mid very boring game. The entire point of this title is to play it in VR. Even if you have to wait another 10 years before you can get a headset.... WAIT. It will be well worth it, literally one of the best gaming experiences of my entire life.
@@VolkovVelikan Spoken like someone who hasn't used a recent headset, or more than likely, never tried it at all. VR is no gimmick, it literally makes Alyx into a truly amazing experience. Something 2D absolutely ruins. How are any of those moments going to mean anything without depth? Meeting Jeff for instance, a huge mutated monster you can't kill. In VR that shit is absolutely terrifying, in 2D it will never be as scary. Then you have the combat, which is balanced from the ground up for VR. Being able to hit a button to reload is not going to be the same as actually having to do it yourself. Then you have the fact that most of the puzzles are outright removed because they are built around VR. Playing Alyx like this is a complete waste.

Watching the gameplay in this video it is very bland, there is nothing really special about it. But in VR all that changes. Having to actually take cover and reload while your pinned down by enemy fire?? Such an amazing experience. Please just set this game aside for now and wait.
@@wearesimulated1579 POV: Insanely privileged asshole who doesn't understand that most people can't afford over 1000$ for a VR Headset just to play this game. And yes I know steamlink exists but the quality suffers greatly and the controls are janky as all hell. It also doesn't subtract from the point that everyone excited for this mod doesn't own a VR Headset.
