My package of the CT 908 WP1 came with a slightly different looking tensioning pulley.
It doesn't have the blue ring on the inside, and has Continental EG05 written on it.
It also doesn't move when I insert the tensioning tool into the holes in the center, it just spins the screwhole around...
Did I get a faulty unit or is it just another revision of the part?

Hi, the production of some components may change after a certain time. If no spring rate can be measured on the component and the tensioner pulley will not tension, it is best to contact your parts dealer. Best regards, yur Continental Aftermarket Team

Stupid and complicated germans techincs ,that doesn't works good at all !
That pulleys is so sharp edges and is very easy to damage belt ,when you trying to set on.
The worst shit is 1.8 t engines ....that's why peoples drive Toyota and Kia.

      Hello Dusan,
as we are a manufacturer of belt drive components, we cannot make any statements about general problems with the engine. It is best to have the vehicle inspected and assessed by a specialist.
      Best regards

Very reliable engine hence why VW/audi kept it going for over a decade and dropped the FSI unit. They don't burn oil. Only down side to the engine is the lack of power. I've had several and they don't use a drop of oil *I don't drive my cars hard or thrash them though).

      Hello, Alexander,
there is no prescribed change interval. Check every 6000km and replace if necessary. In the PIC you can see which kit you will need for this. Your ContiTech Team.
