    Back in 1993 when turned 21, the first firearm I ever purchased was a 70 Series Colt 1911 which I still own. As a side note a couple of weeks later I purchased my second firearm, a S&W 915 which I also still own. These are two of my favorite firearms still in my inventory.
    Anyhow, I have gotten a few other 1911s since then, a Kimber, a S&W, another Colt, a Para Ordinance, which for the price is very decent, a Ruger, and a Long Slide 9" Springfield. All excellent and in fine running condition and I'll take them out a few times a year to the range.
    Back in 2015 I purchased my first Sig 1911, a Scorpion. Then I got an Empower Scorpion. My wife treated me to a Spartan for Christmas. The other day I was looking at a P365 when I looked down and saw this 1911. If you haven't already noticed, I'm a 1911 guy for sure, and after thinking about it and seeing your review, I'm sold on adding this to my collection asap. Thank you and Young Beretta as always for helping me making a decision on something that I was up in the air on. It's hard to believe that I was considering buying a Les Baer but I think I'm going to put that on hold until the end of the summer, I want to pick this up on the weekend and put it through it paces. Put it up against all of my other 1911s and see how it stacks up. Rock on dude.

    I bought a 1911 Select in March 2019 for $848 and it's a phenominal gun for the price. Incredibly I've never seen ANY videos or print reviews on this gun until today. It's great to see your validation of my opinion of the Select. It's a nice big brother for my Sig 1911 RCS (CCO), which is also a great gun.

      This video prompted me to see what other current online info I could find about the 1911 Select, and I learned at osagecountyguns.com/blog/%CAtegory%25/sig-2020-releases/ that Sig is discontinuing the 1911 Select in 2020! It was just introduced in 2018! If the video made you want a Select, you'd better hurry.

    I have the 1911 Sig TacOps in 10mm. Never had any issue with it. I have a Springfield TRP 1911 in .45. It has a full guide rod set up, pain in the butt to disassemble to clean. Love Sig’s traditional bushing set up.

    We live in some Good Times! So many quality Steel handguns. There is no matching a the best polymer pistol with a steel pistol. Steel pistols just feel so wonderful and the slides run so smoothly something you don't get in a polymer pistol. Weight you say? With a good belt and holster you really won't complain.

    I take it young Beretta used a Wilson Combat 10 round mag for the extended mag...nice looking 1911 especially the grips, the ambi safety, and the flat trigger is interesting...rail is a nice touch. I Looks like it might have replaced the TTT, though I have not checked Sig's website. Thanks Beretta Sr. and young Beretta!

    Awesome review! I have had my Sig Sauer 1911 Tacops in 9mm for awhile and it is a phenomenal 1911. Sig makes some of the best factory 1911s on the market in my opinion.

    Another great find Beretta9USA - Ambi, front and back strap details and all the rest of the features are just a great package for the 1K price mark. It shows you what is happening across most of the offerings of a better build and holding steady or decreasing pricing. This is the time to act as the economy is stable but may not stay that way in 9 months. Thanks for sharing.

    • @BERETTA9mmUSA
      @BERETTA9mmUSA  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      trekOCLVone Agreed! Now is the time to buy a great Sig, DW, Baer, or Wilson, Nighthawk if that is in someone’s price range. Rates are low, and the Economy-is pretty freaking good right now. Pick up one or 2 Quality 1911’s and enjoy them for a lifetime. I Never thought I would “Carry” a Commander 1911 for 6 months and now a Full-size 1911 for almost 3 months now. Everyday guys..... just to see how it worked out. This is when I am not in uniform. My Glock 21 Gen 4 is still my duty carry when in uniform. Anyway Loving my 1911’s. 💯👊🤗🥳😎👍🇺🇸

      TheGunfighter45acp I agree, it is Awesome for the money.... almost buy 3 for the price of one Baer. Hard choice right there as I dig them both very much. 2020 is going to be a very good 1911 year for me. It will be different 1911’s then Dan Wesson’s..... But after watching this video I was pretty sure I went with the right choice of this particular 1911. And believe it or not I found this mind for $899 before tax and it was the last one. stephen moore On a 10 or 11 round magazine, you can force them up just a little to far and cause the issue you witnessed in this video.... live as it happened. Stay with normal 7 and 8 round magazines and the chance of this happening is much less. 💯👊🤗🥳😎👍🇺🇸 Beretta Sr.

    You guys are going to have to compare it to the Dan Wesson Specialist

    • @CaptainTechReview
      @CaptainTechReview 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The major differences would be the finishes each use, series 80 vs 70, last but not least, price. I owned a specialist and it is a phenomenal gun, costly, but phenomenal. Trigger was perfect, and I could shoot it lights out! But that could be had with MANY 1911s, so really up to a person on what the want in the end. There would be some other differences in fit and finish, but both would be excellent.

      @samuelrobles2590 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CaptainTechReview I guess I have to do research on the prices because in the video they said the Sig was 1100ish and I've seen Specialist at around 1300-1400

      @samuelrobles2590 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I guess in my mind I assumed for only 200-300$ more the Dan Wesson was far superior than the Sig but if it's about the same then it's a good job Sig

    • @CaptainTechReview
      @CaptainTechReview 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The specialist I bought was $1600 from my local dealer.. if they are lower than that I don't think they will be that much lower unless you find used

    • @CaptainTechReview
      @CaptainTechReview 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The specialist has a few other features the sig doesn't, one is the specialist has a mag well, ribbed top on the slide for glare, and that duty treat finish. Those alone make up some of that difference. Whether you find that added value worth it, is up to you. Either way those could also be added to the sig, except the finish which would be far more expensive to do after the fact.

    Why do SIG 1911 have the Extractor outside ? Do they make one that's inside like everyone eles ? Not a pure 1911 but I have a STX. Feels better in hand then a colt .45 so that's why I got it

    • @BERETTA9mmUSA
      @BERETTA9mmUSA  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think all the Sig 1911 pistols have a external extractor. The people that are pure Colt guys may talk shit about it, but I think they are just fine as long as they work dang near 100% of the time.
      I sold all my Sig, Magnum Research, Auto ordinance, and half my Smith&Wesson Revolvers and 1911’s Collection to purchase 7 Les Baer Custom 1911 Pistols over a 3 year period. It was just a choice I made and the Les Baers are kinda expensive, so I needed to sell about 10 other 1911 pistols and a couple Revolvers to generate cash. Specific features to look for for more spent?

      Recoil is close to the same, Les Baer 1911s have been the most accurate so far and the cost about $1,200 to $1,500 more. If it is a life time 1911 it is well worth it. Always hear people comparing series 80 trigger to the 70 triggers....admittedly I only have 1 series 80....but I'm willing to bet a buck that if you handed 10 people who were not knowledgeable about the different triggers.....they wouldn't be able to tell a difference. The series 80 trigger on my 1911 is exceptional. When your talking 1911 triggers....even the worst 1911 trigger is better than 90 percent of the rest so who cares anyway?

    • @BERETTA9mmUSA
      @BERETTA9mmUSA  ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s all personal preference. 70% of 1911 Buyers are pretty picky about what they are getting. The other 30% don’t care or don’t know the difference. They just want a clean, reliable 1911. 👍🤠😎🇺🇸

    I will always believe that the swinging link is the weakest part of the 1911 design. This is why they took them out of the Ruger P85 & P89s for the Ruger P95 Sig Sauer lintless chamber slide lockup design. Funny how this 1911 is a Sig Sauer.
