This Short Video Should be Played in All the AO Naga Churche's and Home's..
Among the Naga's, Ao people are the Most Active people who Speaks Nagamese & English Among their Own Community.
Most Ao Youth's and Teens don't Understand their Own Language.
I have Seen my Neighbours and also my Ao Friends who Cannot Speak or Even Understand their Own Ao Language.
Even Parents Speak Nagamese and English to their Kid's.
"Ao's Have Won the Pioneer Tag and Lost the Beautiful Language"
Etu tho hosa ase
Very True
every Ao person I have known or met speak Ao dialect. Just look at Phom, Chang or Lotha people. Majority of them don't even know their own mother tongue.
True
@@SlimJim3082 I Think You need to Know More about Your Social Surroundings..
The Survey I gave isn't about 7/8 families speaking Non-Ao But there are Many, Many Ao Families and AO Children Who don't Speak their Native Language, Most of them Don't Even Understand AO.
Also, Most of the AO Youths are Slowly Joining to English Speaking Churches & Ministries , One of the reason is That They don't Understand the AO Preaching.
AO's are on the Verge of Losing their Cultural Identity of their AO Dialect in the Next Millinium..
Hope you understand Now.
Growing up as a mixed-race individual, I've had a unique cultural experience. My dad is from the Ao community, while my mom hails from a different state, Assam. However, my dad wasn't present during my formative years, and as a result, I didn't have the opportunity to learn his native language.
Ironically, my mom, despite being from a different cultural background, didn't teach me her language either. This led to an interesting phenomenon - my own mother tongue, Ao, sounded like a foreign language to me.
I recall struggling to understand the language during Sunday school and church services. It was a challenging experience, feeling disconnected from my own heritage. However, as time passed, I gradually became accustomed to the language through visits to my relatives' homes, where Ao was the primary language spoken.
It was through these interactions, coupled with the support of friends and relatives, that I slowly began to grasp the language. I'm grateful for their patience and encouragement, which helped me reconnect with my roots.
This journey has taught me the importance of language and cultural heritage in shaping our identities. Despite the initial struggles, I'm proud to have reclaimed my connection to the Ao language and community.
Without the mother tongue we are none but a slave of the hinterland. Well done. By this your teams are going into the way higher abstracts and musings. We'll always support you.

Why should we Nagas let an Indo- europen language like nagamese with not connection to our people dominate and take over our rich languages?. All Naga languages fall under the Sino-Tibetan language family and we should be proud of our connection to the various people groups like the Han chinese, tibetans , Burmese etc. Our family has the most spoken language in the world , mandarin . Rich languages with its intricate tones and structure passed down through many generations stand testament to the resilience of our people. .
Languages play a big role in passing down of culture and mindset . We cannot let ideas of the west like individualism dilute our values of a shared community life.
We cannot lose our languages for the sake or excuse of modernization or connection. If it has to be done we need a naga language as our very own lingua franca not some foreign language made for trade with neighboring people.
Now that's the Reality..

Haha its already finished use your own dialect don't forget ur origin
Y'all know these people who takes pride in their child "Moi la bacchaa tohh nagamese nachaney, English hee koi" enka types?... 🤡 🤡
Lets speak only our native languages at home. Nagamese with other tribes and english at schools. I've never really understood the need for teaching hindi in schools, when it isn't even the official language of India. Better focus on teaching nijor laga languages. Nijor language la Grammar textbooks khan thik pra banabo lage ho for our future generations, sathikhan.
Never forget our own mother tongue my dear Brothers and sisters of Nagaland. I see lots of people from the same tribe speaking in Nagamese only... Don't forget your own Mother tongue.
If NE wasn't a part of India then you people could do much more better
Very good video but very harsh treatment to the person who could not speak his own native dialect/ language.
The society and freinds should be more inclusive and helpful rather then condemn or isolate them as there are lots of inter - marriage within Naga tribes and even outside the state.
This could transmit wrong message and do more damage than good to our own younger brothers and sisters who cannot speak their own dialect.
Just my thought.
Where is lambu n skinny nowadays 😢
