I have been running my Pinterest for a month now and I have three questions for you or anyone that has experienced this:
1. When you are creating you pin to be posted on Pinterest, do you select organic pin or paid pin? I have been doing it only in paid pin and of course, I do not pay anything but it seems it has better features than the organic one.
2. Have you experienced any issues by posting your pin with the paid pin option? For example, your account was temporarily canceled or something similar?
3. I was learning about the LTK yesterday and filling out my form to be part of the affiliate program and I noticed they asked you whether you have a sale on your account already or not. By clicking no, do you think LTK will deny my request because no sales yet?

Even though I've selected images that Pinterest found by itself with URL, I have this message that appears when wanting to publish the pin: "You can only tag images leading to a claimed website." Hi, thank you for your kind words! I built up the traffic to my blog with Pinterest so I was always after topics that get more traffic from Pinterest (food, holidays, diy etc.). This content on my site is great for Pinterest traffic but not good to have so much variety for Google SEO. Especially since the last year's updates when Google started penalizing websites for having content on too many different topics.
Which is why I am now slowly deindexing my articles that were posted earlier solely for the sake of pinterest traffic. They are still on the site and still on Pinterest but for Google SEO I am hiding them from the site. And if I started all over again, I would have 2 different sites. One for Pinterest content, another for Google SEO. I thought I could have the best of both worlds but eventually after 5+ years of blogging I need to change some things if I want to maintain traffic from Google as well.

Hi there! Try to apply to Shareasale with your social media profile link instead of the website. Also, you can try other networks, like CJ affiliates for example.

Hi, Anastasia! Big question which I couldn't find the answer anywhere. Are the product images copyright free? We're basically downloading the images from the brand's website. If let's say I create a Pin with only one product image and a bit of text on top, would that be in line with copyright guidelines? Couldn't find anything on LTK, or online. On Amazon affiliates for eg, you can only use the cover/main image they provide (usually the one on white background), for LTK can't find anything. Thanks!

I have a business account and using a desktop. I don't have the tag icon on my pin and the Help Section says "It looks like you're reading this from a web browser. At the moment, you'll need to use your phone to tag products in your Pins." Can you tag products using a desktop?
Can we use this method of tagging to tag our other pins that are related to the pin we are tagging from? Even if they are not products, but maybe articles on our website?
Yes I have done that occasionally when I had no relevant products but needed to tag something because Pinterest added their automatic tags and I was losing traffic.

Yes, I think it is pretty safe if you make a collage pin from them and not just use the plain original image separately

Hi, thank you for your kind words! Consideration are traffic campaigns so they are always great and indeed conversion is not available until you reach a certain number of conversions first. I would NOT worry about these conversion campaigns at all, they are not a magic wand that will make you 3X sales for the same price just because they are called conversions. In my experience, even thought I have access to conversion campaigns, the cost per sale is too high to justify running them, so I usually stick to consideration (traffic) anyway.

I want to promote my pins, but I can't do that because the "business information" section requires an American address, which I don't have. Hi there! You can keep your account settings to US and create a second Advertising account within the same Pinterest account (Pinterest has this option help.pinterest.com/en/business/article/create-an-advertiser-account) and add your billing in Europe, that's exactly how I run my account and ads.
You will not lose your American audience even if you change your account settings to your country though. It doesn't matter that setting, I use it just in case but you can create your pins using your country domain zone on Pinterest, for example, for Portugal it's pinterest.pt, and your account will work just fine for US-based audience, all your pins will open for them on pinterest.com domain.

I know, 30k views might seem like a lot of for you because you started from zero and have grown it so far but really the CTR rate on Pinterest is around 0.5% on average so if you've got around 150 outbound clicks on those pins, it's a very good rate. Now, does 150 clicks on your affiliate links mean that you'll get 150 sales/commissions? Nope, that will depend on the product itself, how well targeted the pin was to capture clicks from people who are really interested in this product.

Yes I live in Portugal. If you speak English, always better to target English speaking audience. Bigger market, US-based audience has higher purchasing power and the main reason is because on Pinterest the biggest audience is from the US.

Hey Anastasia, thank you so much for this content! I have a Pinterest account in fashion with 4.5 million monthly impressions. Could I just go through all my pins and add tag products. What happens if I do it massively, can Pinterest mark me as spam?
Please don't do anything too fast and in massive volumes on Pinterest, its spam filters are more sensitive than we could expect. Your account is an established one so the limits are normally higher for such accounts vs some brand new account. But still be careful. I assume you have hundreds or even thousands of pins. It's a lot of work to manually tag all of them, and not sure if it's worth it. Are your pins currently linked to anything or you just have an account that doesn't drive traffic anywhere?
If so, then you can tag your top performing 30 or 50 pins. If you see that a lot of your pins are already tagged with automatic products by Pinterest, then it's a serious reason to consider adding tags of your own manually to most of the pins. But again, not massively to all of them but gradually maybe up to 5 pins per day.

You shouldn’t post the same URL daily, once every 7 days is more healthy rate and keep in mind that in between those 7 days you need to keep posting pins from other people or if you have your own website, pins linked to your own content. What matters is that you shouldn't have ONLY or MOSTLY affiliate links.

It's not true, you can share various affiliate links but you need to do it in moderation. Meaning, you can't use Pinterest account to JUST post affiliate links, if you don't have your website, you should then repin from other accounts curated pins to mix them between those affiliate pins.

I have never thought of doing something like that and certainly never tried it so can't tell you what kind of outcome you'd get with this. They look manually at every account and if you get accepted and then post on a different account, they'll figure it out pretty soon.

Good question! From what i keep hearing you can not and your account will be banned.
You can add direct affiliate links on Pinterest but it should be done in moderation, as per Pinterest's guidelines. policy.pinterest.com/en/community-guidelines#section-paid-partnership-guidelines scroll down this page to the section about Affiliate guidelines. Literally it says: use affiliate links in moderation.
