There is no way, I recently started learning about amazon affiliate program but was confused about what the landing page was for and how to link through Pinterest. The timing on this video upload is great for me.
Yey!! So glad to hear. Let me know how you get on with building the landing pages. You can build them normally in Wordpress, but you have less flexibility and there is no way to duplicate those pages, which is why I love Elementor instead!
Can we run pinterest ads for those pinterest pins directed to our amazon affiliate blog. Do both platforms allow this as we are generating ads for blog post instead of product?
Hi, thanks for great info. I am however confused if it's ok or not to link to an idea list post on my Amazon influencer storefront directly in the Pinterest pin? I also disclose that I earn from qualifying purchases in the pin. Or can I get banned for direct linking like this?
I believe influencers have different rules, so you will be ok to link to your Amazon influencer store via a pin. And yes - add the disclosure in the pin description.
Fantastic I will purchase your book for affiliate links and growing an Pinterest shop for beginners through Amazon. Is it an easy step by step guide what to do. I’ve just finished building my website so this is perfect timing, thank you 😊
Hi, I want to ask a question. If I used my Pinterest to apply for Amazon affiliate and get accepted. Am I supposed to promote it only on my Pinterest or can I promote on my other Pinterest account and Instagram accounts?
You can't get accepted with only a Pinterest account unfortunately. But you can promote your links on multiple platforms, you aren't limited to one. Just add them to your "websites" - you can edit that list at anytime in case you start new accounts, blogs etc.
I have a question? Do we need to have a landing page for every product we want to promote? Or is there any other way where we can put bunch of affiliate links in one landing page?
You can do both - you can easily build a page, and duplicate it for each product. Pins will all have different destination URLs for specific products - that way they are easier to find, and Pinterest loves multiple URLs as well. But you can have landing pages for a list of products (for example - best vacuum cleaners - and list 3-5 of those), or a resource library/shop page (shop my favourite home cleaning products). Just think of the user experience - if you have a pin that says "best business book i've read in 2024" don't lead them to a page of 20+ products, for them to find that 1 book. Just lead them to a landing page for that book only (works better for conversions too).
Hi Ana, nice video, but I am confused in one point. I have seen in other videos than people explain to use Amazon imagen in elaborate a pin in Canvas, and that was allow according to the author. Can you say something on this? can be another explanation? Thank you.
That is not allowed. If Amazon finds those images, your account is at risk. You cannot download, use, edit or manipulate seller images in your collages. A lot of people do it because they don't know the rules, and others just hope they won't get caught.
Yes - especially for Pinterest. If you are linking to the product directly from a public page (blog post, public social media account that's allowed by Amazon etc), there's no need to have a bridge - unless you want to direct them to read your full review for example.
Hello. I have a couple questions. If we are not allowed to use any of the product images as an Amazon Associate then what would you recommend we use instead? I'd like to know what you recommend. What about sites like facebook, it automatically generates an image when an affiliate link is inserted? Thank you!
Facebook is great for that, but probably not the platform that will generate the most sales. I'd recommend sharing on a platform that makes sense for how your target audience consumes that content, and finding a way to share links that makes it easy for them! For example, of blogs and in-depth tutorials, you can use Lasso > thesheapproach.com/lasso > and this will pull the images for you, as well as prices, the prime logo etc. For TH-cam, you only need the links and a product description that people can recognise when listing products in your video captions/descriptions. On Tiktok, Instagram, you need a Linktree sort of website where you can categorize your links.
Hi thank you for this video very informative and helpful! But I'm a little confused on setting up with Wordpress. Which Subscribtion would you recommend and would I need to create a new account for each landing page I create? or am I able to create unlimited pages on one account?
Do not buy a website directly from Wordpress. You are just paying for extra features which still don't allow you to own your website or customize it further. You need to buy web hosting instead, on which you can install the free version of Wordpress org on. I recommend www.thesheapproach.com/bluehost as they offer a free domain name and a one click Wordpress install. Once that's set up, you can create infinite pages under that domain at no extra cost!
Hi Ana, thank you for this video. I have a question about the web site: I was wondering if I can directly create a kind of a “showcase”, a site where you can find all the products i show on Pinterest with their own link, so that people can easily go to the site and buy. Everyone talk about creating a blog or a shop, i would just create a page with picture and amazon links. I really hope you can help me with this doubt. Greetings from Italy ❤
Yes, you can, you just have to make sure you are grabbing the photos via the API tool or a third-party plugin. I have a tutorial on how you can do that here: thesheapproach.com/amazon-site-stripe-images-update-api-fix/ Then create a resource page / shop my favorites / showcase.
You can either get a plugin to help you do so - I recommend either www.thesheapproach.com/lasso or www.thesheapproach.com/aawp - or try making those 3 sales without sharing images (just use text links + buttons).
Hello Ana! great video, thank you! I was wondering if I can share amazon links (not affiliate, just product links, such as amazon kdp book of mine) directly in Pinterest, provided that i create mockup for the book as a pin picture.
Yes! As you own the copyright to your cover, images etc, you can use that as you want. (You can also create a landing page for your own book as shown, direct Pinterest traffic there, and have an affiliate link on that page, as that's allowed, and still get paid for sales as an affiliate.)
Hello, thank you for your tutorial. While I finish building my Wordpress website, I want to start posting my affiliate links on Pinterest for now to start getting traction. Do you know how I can add my Pinterest profile to Amazon affiliates list?
Between 1-5 original pins seems to work best now, but there is no magical number. Experiment and see what works best (but give it 3-4 months to see results).
@@TheSheApproach yes I meant health status of the affiliate links as the links might have expired products at certain times, and needs be removed to avoid customer dissatisfaction, that's what I saw somewhere , and saw video saying that Geniuslink let's you know when a product is already out of stock
@@RVBestsellerCorner Ohh, yes that's fine! Lasso offers that as well, and you can see any broken links (if an item has been deleted off Amazon) or not in stock.
I didn’t use the affiliate link for my kdp journal for my blog homepage. Instead I just used the regular url, that’s fine right? Cause technically it’s not my affiliate link it’s just the normal url
Yes - if you just use the regular Amazon link, you can share that anywhere you want (even offline, in private conversations etc). However, even standard Amazon links don't get a lot of traction on Pinterest, so if you can pin a page on your blog instead where the link to the book is, that will work better.
Direct Amazon affiliate links on Pinterest are not permitted (it's not listed as one of the approved social platforms in the Amazon agreement for affiliates), and Pinterest can see these pins as spammy - so yes, it's better to have a landing page.
Thank you so much for this amazing video! It is so helpful with creating a landing page. I already have Lasso, but when I try to use it on this landing page and click on Add a Display my page goes gray. Have you had this happen? It does not happen when I use it in my reglular blog posts! Thanks again for all of your helpful videos! I have subscribed!
I’m new to this whole thing but I have a relatively popular Pinterest page so I wanted to look into affiliate links. I already link items in my pins with no affiliation. Is it against the rules to just link the Amazon affiliate link like I already link websites? I’m confused on why I need a landing page. Thanks so much for the video!
It's because Amazon discounts most sales that come directly from Pinterest (they won't pay you for them if they generate in sales) and Pinterest marks Amazon affiliate links as spammy most of the time - so they won't even show them to others. If you build a landing page, you create a bridge and solve both problems!
why when I post one of the amazon links for a product, do other pinterest links for other users show up, something like click here with pictures on the same product I am linking
Pinterest doesn't pay you directly, you get paid by individual affiliate networks or programs. So you will need to connect your payment information there.
I use Amazon Affiliate America and I use the One Links feature, but when I click on the affiliate link for each product I promote, it takes me to Amazon India, and I am not registered with Amazon India. What is the solution, please?
That's strange! And definitely an issue with the plugin you use. One Link redirects based on your location, so unless you are in India when you click on it, it shouldn't take you there. Try to ask for support with the tool you use, and write to Amazon support as well to double-check.
Hi, i wanted to write on amazon deals and offers. I can use aawp but what happens when the offer is finished should i delete the post or remain as it would be misleading once the offer is finished. I could get banned from amazon affiliate? Suggestions please?
As long as you use a tool which automatically updates each deal price/product price every 24 hours, you will be fine with Amazon. (AAWP should do that, as well as Lasso.) So you don't need to rush to delete anything. For your readers, you can write something like "February 2024" deals so they don't they are only active that month.
I have a question. I just started uploading pins that contain links to my website and as soon I linked it I have no impressions. Vs the ones with no links there are impressions. Why do you think this is happening?
It could just be a coincidence. A big majority of pins have a destination or source URL, so that shouldn't impact it negatively. Have you claimed your website on Pinterest yet?
Your domain. If your created landing pages are www.thesheapproach.com/pin-product-1 for example, you just need to list www.thesheapproach.com in your listed websites on Amazon. Any pages and posts from this domain will be included in your application that way.
You might need an Amazon compatible extension for Shopify, as their product layout won't allow you to add product images without uploading them (which Amazon doesn't allow).
@@TheSheApproach Thank you so much! I have posted links on shopify by creating my own branding images and adding the links to it but my traffic has been 0, but I have a decent audience on Pinterest, just been hard to convert would you have any suggestions?
what about tagging an Amazon product in your pin by using the tag button? it will connect your pin to Amazon's pin and will have your affiliate link there
That I am not 100% sure on, since Pinterest enabled that feature specifically for product tagging. So they might not see it as a problem, but Amazon sales still won't count (especially for your first 3 sales).
Hello May I know if there will be any problem if I post amazon affiliate links from different countries? (I'm Indian) My one link is already activated.
I don't get it what if i want to promote a chair and i can't take photo by myself how can i use chair pictures in Amazon and post in pinterest without ban
That's correct - Amazon doesn't allow you to pin their images, as the sellers own the copyright. You can either take your own product photos or use stock photos of similar products.
Clicks always show with a delay in the dashboard. Pinterest analytics will also show pin clicks - which is when people click to enlarge the pin graphic - instead of outbound clicks - which is when people click on the destination URL, so be sure to check for the latter. But as I mentioned, Amazon & Pinterest don't really like each other, so maybe Amazon is discount Pinterest clicks altogether.
Affiliate disclaimers can be as simple as "As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases." or "This page contains affiliate links. In the event of a sale, I earn a commission at no extra cost for you." which can simply write out. A policy page is recommended if you have a website, and while there are some legal templates you can buy to make sure they include everything you need, if you only plan to share affiliate links, there are several Privacy Policy free generators that you can use to embed them on a simple page such as termly.io/products/privacy-policy-generator/ or www.freeprivacypolicy.com/free-privacy-policy-generator/.
I started with Amazon affiliate marketing and posting on my Pinterest business account. Come to find out they told me they don't accept Pinterest as a platform to post. And I already have 100.clicks no sales but clicks. Why not Pinterest
It's just not on their list of approved social media networks and accounts that you can get accepted with, since it's more about sharing content than creating original content which they want to see. I'd recommend linking another social media account to your profile, and getting clicks that way moving forward.
I was able to grow my account to over 1 mil monthly viewers a couple years ago. I wasn't aware of affiliate programs back then :( .... now I'm at 117k views with 2k followers as an amazon associate and I post almost every day and add my link tree link to every post. I don't know what I'm doing wrong even when I use hashtags and descriptions.... HELP PLS TY
Unfortunately, you can't add direct Amazon affiliate links on Pinterest - this is also why you're probably getting reduced views as Pinterest isn't showing those pins to a lot of people. Do you have a blog/website/ or other platforms that you can send traffic to instead where you can embed those links (anything from TH-cam shorts, Tiktok videos, instagram, landing pages etc will work).
Pretty much - you need a blog or a landing page builder. Or somewhere to send people as the initial destination, before adding Amazon affiliate links in a way that's allowed.

TH-cam doesn’t suggest videos if you introduce yourself at the beginning. Their upgrades from last month changed a lot of features and you simply won’t get views if you introduce yourself first--only if you give at least one part of your topic first.
What a helpful comment... Thanks for your feedback. If you want content and answers from robots, try Google AI answers. Otherwise, real people who post on TH-cam do tend to introduce themselves to new viewers. I also introduce myself after I introduce the topic of the video for viewers retention, and to establish what my connection with the topic is.

Just posted a new video!
I try to use the link from Amazon affiliates and put it on my pin post I’m getting clicks on Pinterest but there not showing on my Amazon analytics 😢
Clicks always show with a delay in the dashboard. Pinterest analytics will also show pin clicks - which is when people click to enlarge the pin graphic - instead of outbound clicks - which is when people click on the destination URL, so be sure to check for the latter.
But as I mentioned, Amazon & Pinterest don't really like each other, so maybe Amazon is discount Pinterest clicks altogether.
the only downside is you need to have disclaimers and privacy terms which I had no idea and that cost money
@@TheSheApproach Where on Pinterest do you put your disclaimer? On every product pin that your promoting?
I started with Amazon affiliate marketing and posting on my Pinterest business account. Come to find out they told me they don't accept Pinterest as a platform to post. And I already have 100.clicks no sales but clicks. Why not Pinterest
It's just not on their list of approved social media networks and accounts that you can get accepted with, since it's more about sharing content than creating original content which they want to see. I'd recommend linking another social media account to your profile, and getting clicks that way moving forward.
I never thought your affiliate link would be traced to pinterest and thus not paid for the affiliate?
It's just Amazon's rule for their affiliates.
Pero promover productos de Amazon es una miseria de comisiones que te da Amazon por cada venta....
Do you have a blog/website/ or other platforms that you can send traffic to instead where you can embed those links (anything from TH-cam shorts, Tiktok videos, instagram, landing pages etc will work).
pinttrest not allowed whatsoever
lasso isnot free
They retired their free account. You can try something like www.thesheapproach.com/aawp which is more affordable.
Ana where are you from,if you know Serbian how can i contact you i have some questions about this
I don't speak Serbian, but let me know what your questions are and how I can help!
so the bottom line is: you can't. You need a blog. And blogs are long gone for small publishers being clapped by google so many times...
Pretty much - you need a blog or a landing page builder. Or somewhere to send people as the initial destination, before adding Amazon affiliate links in a way that's allowed.
I need to hear the story of a Dragon or Dragon Man from you..
SLOW DOWN! Remember, we are beginners🤦🏼♀️
My apologies! I do have several beginner Amazon affiliate videos. Or is it the landing pages bit that you would like a more detailed tutorial on?
how annoying is the sound that do with your mouth .. but good video !
What is wrong with all u people Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah , Then "Hi my name is"
Omg! it is so lame
Does it really take that long to introduce yr self first like a normal person, No it doesn't
Bye
TH-cam doesn’t suggest videos if you introduce yourself at the beginning. Their upgrades from last month changed a lot of features and you simply won’t get views if you introduce yourself first--only if you give at least one part of your topic first.
What a helpful comment... Thanks for your feedback. If you want content and answers from robots, try Google AI answers. Otherwise, real people who post on TH-cam do tend to introduce themselves to new viewers.
I also introduce myself after I introduce the topic of the video for viewers retention, and to establish what my connection with the topic is.
Make a tutorial on how to use Amazon affiliate link in ads like insta Facebook, pinetrest, I show many influencer using direct affiliate link in ads idk how
I've shown that on my newest videos: th-cam.com/video/S7kinemaeEw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Vn_WpkzcFJ53C66w
Or do you mean creating FB/Instagram paid ads to boost your affiliate link?
