He was only 14 when he wrote this. He didn't publish it until much later but it really shows that Lovecraft had story telling in his veins.

I have always loved this one! I think that the pitch black setting in the cave allows the listener/reader to get lost in their imagination. Sometimes our imaginations can create things more terrifying than we could ever actually see. The fear of not knowing is a truest sense of fear.
What i love about the stories on this channel is how your voice give life to the story and give me the heebie jeebies without jumpscares and annoying shouts ...loving every story including the scp files ❤️❤️❤️

Man you really are like my favorite and ultimate TH-camr. You do great narration work which brings the story to life that much more with the words, but you also upload constantly which some of my other favorites only do maybe twice a month at most.

I think this is my favourite version that I have as yet encountered on TH-cam. The is a good level of scale between restraint and passion. Many of the other versions are either 1) poorly read or 2) recounted with very annoying voices. There is one version in which the reader seems to be presenting through a permanently-blocked nose! This version, considered the environment it occurs within, is close-confined and almost delivered with whisper-like quality to the ear. It is given delicately and convincingly. Thumbs up!
Another incredible narration! I now am aware that yours is absolutely the voice of H.P. Lovecraft stories...who knew? Other than the dreadful feeling of claustrophobia, a most enjoyable telling. Thank you Mr. Narrator.
Since we have a bunch of lovecraft fans here, does anyone remember the name of the fan story NT read where the premise was basically Cthulu talking to a child that referred to him as "thu thu". Cthulu was trying to teach the kid about how great they were and how they'd be revered by the great ones and the kid was just being a kid .
I thought it was along the lines of "subject 17" but i can't find it. Pretty sure it's one of the videos that got smacked with a copyright strike

Yes I agree u do justice 2 the story. Have read all the stories by Lovecraft, not a fan. Wish, and I kno people have tried, but some1 wonderful bring them in2 this generation, no hint there. @Stinger Johnny - I appreciate the fact that he’s a genius writer and the depths of the ocean scare the shit out of me and are stuff of nightmares. He and that entire genre which he created deserves a lot of credit. But MAN is it overplayed in pastas, I feel like, and sometimes I just don’t want to think about what his big words mean. lol I deal with big words too much. I want to be scared by dumb sometimes. Haha
