so one insight I can offer is the final man you see come in to gamble with her is a HUGE movie actor in Korea. He acted in a very popular movie called Tazza. It was a movie about gambling and conmen, all that stuff. I haven't watched it myself but that part in the MV where you see them tie their hands together is paying homage to one very memorable scene in the movie.

The train board listed all of her album. Shows her journey through the train.
When she got on the train/entered the music industry. She was new, excited, shy and imitates her seniors, a learning phase for her. In black dress, she is enjoying her initial success. The fight scenes shows it wasn't easy for her to earn her bread, she fought through struggles to come though. The animated scene probably refers to Eight MV. She lost her close friends along the way and burying the sad memories. The change with change of theme and color scheme shows how that phase made her look at the world in new color/way. Ending scene, she leaves the 20's train, waving it goodbye, but the future is brighter.. She sees the 30's coming..
Coin
IU compares her addiction work/music similar to gambling.. She started small with just a single coin, she earns her success, change of lifestyle and enjoy her life. Now she is taking a gamble, going all in, she is experimenting and trying out new genres, rapping etc.. Even if at the end she looses everything, she will not give up and will still continue again back from where she started.

I enjoyed your reactions. My favorites on the album are My Sea because its an actual masterpiece, Troll, and Empty Cup but all of the songs are great.
the "gambling" part is actually a reference to how she's got very obsessed with work during her twenties like how a gambler is obsessed with the concept of gambling.
I'm curious, have you ever seen Hotel Del Luna? cause if not - and you love the looks in this video - that drama is soooo for you! :D (It's also overall pretty damn fantastic, of course)
There is a song she did with one of the cast from "Infinite Challenge" for one of their music festivals called "Leon" where she does the speak singing as well. Its a really good song and their performance is awesome.

I love all the album so I cannot choose a favourite yet, but the ones I have listen to the most are My Sea, Coin and Troll, She's just amazing!! A masterpiece, both the album and Jieun 😍
