That bottom-right pocket is tilted away from the camera. There've been a couple slow rolls that curved away from that pocket. Just saw another at about 30:50. You can see it on the shooter's face after the miss. I pulled a few frames from the shot and lined up the left-hand-side of the ball. The line created in the first half-second of the roll does not predict the line taken for the rest of it. The deviation is less than a centimeter (he would have missed, anyway) but it's there.

this is the first time I watched one-pocket pool. Great tactical game. I wondered about Efrens shot 1:30:00 in did he scratch the white on purpose and made it a perfect tactical shot? the ball he potted (and he couldn't prevent leaving it for Frost anyway) didn't count because he scratched the cue ball. And the commentators didn't pick up on it? Or do I need to learn the rules better?
Spookrijder tegenligger ● No. Because Efren made a ball in Scott's pocket, Scott gets to keep it. Because Efren "scratched" the cue ball, he "owes" a ball to his score. If he has one or more balls that he's already made, they spot one of Efren's previously made balls. If he doesn't have any previously made balls, he "owes" a ball - which means he will have to make 9 balls, instead of 8, to win. Let's say a player has "fouled" 4 times during a game. And, let's say that player hasn't made any balls yet. Each time he fouls, you'll see them put a coin on their side of the table. That's a reminder that they "owe" however many balls they owe. When they finally DO make a ball (or, balls), when they're done shooting that "inning" at the table, they'll "spot" however many balls they owe (and remove a coin for each one they've spotted). ● There's a (somewhat) infamous one pocket match here on TH-cam, where Scott Frost took so many "fouls" - on purpose - that he "owed" something like 10 balls. He had SO MANY pennies on the table that he had to make 2 stacks of them. Sometimes a player thinks it's to his benefit to owe balls, rather than shoot something that will give the opponent a chance to make a good shot. If you're new to one pocket, watch some more games. Eventually you'll understand what's going on. Enjoy!

What's the criterion for balls to be respotted after a player's turn?
No
V ,xv . .nbc, .
1. A ball was played into a pocket other than one of the scoring pockets
2. The player at the table owed a ball

Hello.
Please. Could someone explain the rules of this game?
The breaker picks a pocket before the rack starts ( you can only pick one of the two corner pockets underneath the rack)
When you see someone break from the left side, they have picked the right pocket - you’ll notice their break pushes balls towards that pocket, while hopefully not putting any near their opponents pocket or leaving opponent a shot to their pocket.
Whoever makes 8 balls in their pocket first wins. Normal types of fouls, must touch a rail after contact etc, If you scratch or foul you lose a ball.
If you have made a ball already you spot it up - if you haven’t made a ball yet when you foul you will owe a ball. You put a penny on the rail to keep count - when you do finally make a ball you’ll spot it up after your inning is over.
If you make a ball into your opponent’s pocket on a legal shot, they get to keep that ball.
Sometimes you have to make your opponent’s ball to keep him from making it and playing position off of it. Give him 1 instead of risking him running more.
Sometimes it’s best to make his ball while also fouling (following the ball in to scratch on purpose or flying the cue ball off the table)
Then his ball comes back up and you spot one of your own.
Look at the ref ang efren they are old but still active in the sport they love... this two is my favorite👍👍👍
You missed one person.. the commentators..I guess one of them is old too
Efren's signature dance at the end lol
