Looking through this makes me realise how valuable this week in the life will become to you in the years to come when your daughter is all grown up & these memories are forgotten. One day you will be able to sit down with a coffee & go through the album & relive those moments in your life over again. I am in my mid 70s now & I do not have many memories of my past & only a few photos of the kids when they were young & I wish I had known about memory keeping back then but it wasn't something that was done & as I was not a diary keeper, I never wrote down anything, so now I have nothing to remind me of the past but a few floating pictures in my mind. I did come across a few letters I had sent my parents over the years as we lived in different states of Australia in their latter years & I found them when my dad passed away in 2026 so kept them to re-read & to try & recall different things from my forties & probably 50s. So you are a wise young woman to document these as you don't know what your future holds for you, plus your daughter will enjoy reading them in her older years as well.

I really love looking back at all the Day in the Life pages I’ve made and I do want to make it a point to keep documenting the little things because life does keep changing!

Amen!! I’m 67 years old & 100% agree with you Louise!!! Trust us Chelsey, you think you’ll remember all these little things, but unfortunately, you can’t. But when you have pictures & journaling to help you remember, then you will!! Here you have some older people who are telling you the exact same thing!! I hope you’re hearing us!!❤

LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! All the various size flip flaps and protectors make for fun documentation. I am using this approach for a recent trip I took and I am having so much fun! Thanks for sharing!

I am a 62 year old mother of 5 grandmother of 8. ❤ you are not wasting your time my adult children and grand babies love it. Even with all this technology. It is nice to see a photo bigger than a phone screen. Of course the most important part is your thoughts. ❤

That’s great to hear from your perspective! I know I always loved looking through my parent’s photo albums when I was little. My daughter enjoys looking at her pages already and she’s only 3. ❤️

Hi Chelsey! I wish this “day in the life” concept would have been around when my adult sons were little. I vote that you do it again!
We’re expecting our first Grandaughter (first girl in our family in over 40 years!!) at the beginning of June & frankly, you have me thinking of how this might work for me for the days when I’m not with her🤷‍♀️? Any ideas? So selfishly, YES, I’d love to see you keep going with this. Trust me, when your adorable daughter gets a bit older, she’s going to be mesmerized by this album & how much love you obviously put into documenting her little everyday moments, every single day of the week/year!!! I vote YES to please, please continue🙋‍♀️🙋‍♀️🙋‍♀️!!

It really is a wonderful project to prompt me to remember to photograph the little things that I usually forget to document. Even doing this once a year helps to capture all those little things and show how life is changing! I'm currently documenting Week In The Life this week...not sure I'll due process videos but I will at least share my pages once they're done.
As for doing this project you definitely can!! There are lots of people who do this in all stages of life. You can document the days you are with her and those you aren't. I'd start with doing a single day or even a single week and then get that into an album. If you're on Instagram follow the hashtag #aeweekinthelife to see lots of different people working on this project. There are other videos on TH-cam in different styles too. Good luck and Congrats on your sweet granddaughter!

This is awesome! I loved the first video and was so excited for the second. I have been wanting to do a week in the life based off Ali but felt so overwhelmed. I have the same paper pack and like how this turned out.
I am going to do four weeks this year, one for each season! I planned on first week of May for spring, my birthday week this summer, probably September or October for fall ( want those colors) and then a week in December! Super excited to use the different pocket pages and flip flaps! ❤❤❤

What a great idea to do one week each season! I''m might have to think about that too! Ali just started her Week In The Life for 2023 today and even though I'm kinda tired of this project from just finishing, I'm jumping in a documenting. I'm determined it won't take me all year to finish it this time! I'm going to try a different format and see how I like it. I hope you love the project and enjoy documenting your life in all four seasons this year!

I love watching your week in the life projects come together. Your stamping on the photo looks awesome. I want that bummer, ugh stamp, I don't remember that one. I am going to take a whack at the stop the blur project to capture more every day life stuff.

It was a really big project but I'm glad I did it and now that I've started I think I need to do one every year because it's so fun to look back at all these little details. That bummer stamp set is quite old, but it's so unique I've never decluttered it. I'm curious to hear about the stop the blur and how you like it.

This is amazing. I can tell that A LOT of time went into planning this and the result is fantastic. I think my pages would have gotten simpler toward the end too 😂

It was a ton of work, but the finished project is so worth it! I love looking back at our daily lives. This time last year Isabella hardly had any words. Now she pretty much speaks as well as a kindergartener or older 😂 we understand pretty much everything she says which just blows my mind!

Last year was my first time doing AE Week in the Life project and I fell in love with it! I did it again during the community event last week. Both times I used the journal. I really like your pocket pages approach. Thanks for sharing!

Last year was my first WITL too! I had done DITL several times but doing a week was a whole new thing for me. Using the journal sounds like a great idea and really doable. I documented with the community, have printed my pictures and now I’m hoping to assemble my pages this weekend. I decided to do faux pocket pages and I’m really excited to see how it comes together. I’ll post a layout share once they’re complete since process videos take so long to make.

What adhesive do you use for your ATG gun?
You do phenomenal work and explain it so well.

Thanks so much! I use the off brand refills from the Tape Jungle. I’ve been using them for over a decade and I’m so happy with the quality. All my pages are still intact and I find this tape easier to deal with than the 3m brand.

I’ve used these for years as well. I like them so much that I used to sell them in my old scrapbook store (now closed). And like you Chelsey, anything I put them on is still adhered, all these years later.
