Like the Bronkies videos pls keep up the good work... I fish most of the time there .The grass became a lot worse . Where you started this video is my favorite spot. 🎣
Hi Sascha love the vids keep it going. Next time try a shad color popper over submerged vegetation with long pauses and a white buzz toad over thick vegetation. I caught a 2.14kg not to long ago.
The spot you started on is tops in winter, but you’re fishing waaaaay too shallow and too fast. Move off the bank and drag a jig for better bites, and a Ned or a drop shot to catch the numbers. The smaller bass group big time at Bronkies in winter. Was there this time last year after initial lockdown and caught about 40-60 fish drop shotting on the ridge opposite kayamanzi. Not a single keeper, but good sport
So I only have braid on my spinning reels, and on my frogging reel. Other then that its all fluorocarbon. Braid is really good for bite detection. So I would use braid for deep water fishing which I actually don't do😄 So braid has no stretch which fluorocarbon does. If you have any more questions feel free to ask.
Whats up man, so I wasn't even aware that the veritas range brought out a combo. Try Mias out in Woodmead, they have a very good variety of rods and reels.
@@dvzbassing4680 watch the reel test on you tube. This guy is awesome on testing reels. He has a clip comparing the various slx reels. It is a very good and reliable reel. You have 4 options in the slx range to choose from. The slx dc is the best but also fairly expensive.
Lekker video man Sasha this is the best TH-cam channel
Thanks very much😁
Hello. I have a house there and struggle to catch any fish. I gaught 4 and i have been fishing for 3 weeks. Love your vids.
Yeah Bronkies is ultra tough fishing. HAHA even we battle to catch there. I think a need rig could do really well.

I'm going to be fishing there this weekend. So thank you very much for the advise
Got 22 last weekend.. 5-8 meters of water on Ned rig. Late afternoon it got better once water warmed up near rocks.
Sweet thanks alot man. When I go back I will definitively try that.
Why does ur friend hv a Johnson outboard on such a lovely boat,,
He bought it with boat. The motor still works well, so i'm sure he isn't gonna be replacing it in awhile.

Hey bud, vids are always good. wanted to ask what you think about braid line on a baitcaster?

@@BassingwithSascha will do thanks man
Tomorrow my birthday 12 so l'm not sure if l should buy a new bait caster or lures l would love your opinion on it
Do you have a baitcaster combo? If not, buy that. Otherwise lures are ALWAYS needed.
@@vernervanschalkwyk2280 yes l got a combo but thanks for the advance
@@vernervanschalkwyk2280 bro
I say get another rod and reel. You can't have to many of those.
@@BassingwithSascha yip
Hopefully the dam was quiet. no joy riders
I think the cold weather scared everyone😄
I would love to get the Shimano SLX reel but it's to expensive l pretty sure it's like 5000 or 6000 Rand

@@dvzbassing4680 thx bro l will look out for that price
As DvzBassing said, you can pick up slx for a good deal.
