- The story is based on a 17th-century Jewish folktale titled "The Finger," in which a groom-to-be slips his ring onto a corpse's finger while reciting his vows. The corpse then rises from the dead and exclaims, "My husband!" The groom then has to run to a rabbi to annul his marriage. The rabbi says that the dead lay no claim to the living. With a deafening shriek, the corpse falls into a pile of bones, never rising again.

No i didn’t but it’s super interesting. I think there was this Mexican folk tale or something that was a lot like this but everyone but this guy knew she was a dead corpse 🧟♀️ lady but he ended up trapped
Regarding Mexico, the folk tales similar to Corse Bride are the Pascualita and La Llorona
"I love you victor , but you're not mine"☹️
Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride had to be so set within a 19th century European village through the 19th century because something meant that it was Timothy Walter Burton’s 2005 British-North American Warner Bros. stop-motion animated musical movie story about Victor Van Dort the timid younger human man and his sensational human girlfriend and future wife, Victoria Everglot. They were do to be married, though they did not make brand-new friends with both of each other before. Victor’s parents were Roland and Victoria’s parents were filled upward with regret, but in a moment of panic, Victor desperately fled and got whisked away to the dark underworld and got wedded and married to the corpse bride, Emily by the grave misunderstanding and got married to her. Emily had been frightening, but beautiful and would not be false then all that she had lacked was the beast that had a pose while Victoria waited in the Land of the Living. Though the life within the Land of the Dead proved to be the lot more colorful than his strict Victorian upbringing, Victor had to learn that there had been nothing in this world, or the next, that can get him to be kept away within a journey from his one true love, Victoria Everglot. Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride had been from Tim Burton/Timothy Walter Burton, the North American creator of The Nightmare Before Christmas because something meant that Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride had been a tale loaded upward with wit calm that had been with strife for the neat mission to look kinda like the story about Victor Van Dort the timid younger man and the love part of his Victorian life within a tragic tale that had to concern romance then passion then a most too, too murder foul. Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride came to the planet Earth world motion picture movie theaters everywhere for the 2005 September in a cheerful journey from Warner Bros. when I was a young thirteen-year-old teenager in 2005 within the 21st century.
THAT'S SO SADDDDD

Yes I knew
oh rly? i thought it was a old russian tale
I think the Russians retold it with the grooms original fiancé promising the corpse bride that she would live her marriage in the corpse bride’s honor and have enough children for the both of them.
@@FilmmakeroftheFuture That’s so sweet. :)
that’s it???
it has to do with the history of Jewish brides being killed before the wedding. so they dont make more Jewish babies.
i dont remember the era or decade though.
