This was the return league fixture between these two teems & a battle to finish runners up in the league. Earlier in the season Wyrley arrived at Leeks gigantic pitch with a team of only 9 players with around 5 first teamers missing. Despite this Wyrley gave a brave display going in 3-1 down at half time and holding Leek in the second half. Today Wyrley again started with only 9 with several first team players. It was 10 v 11 after 20 minutes with Wyrley taking the lead. By half time it was 1-1 and 11 v 11 although Wyrley had no subs. Second half and Wyrley made the best chances scoring three to run out 3-1 winners and rise to third in the league with 5 leagues games left despite having an outragous three point deduction.
