I got zillion of orchestral libraries but what you achieve every time is quite impressive really… i always end up using eastwest. Thanks for feeding your Composer Cloud + subscribers !! Great work
Love East West!!!! Wish I could like this 10 times or more!! East West has been my go-to since I first started composing seriously (East West Silver helped me land my first deal with a music library *grins*), and they continue to create wonderful new sounds for use. I'm so excited to get the Fantasy Orchestrator and can't wait to use it! Congrats on the win, too, well deserved!!
These are soectacular! One suggestion: if you could add preset suggested playing styles (simple triads left hand, melody on right; closed triad; cluster notes, etc.) on the OPUS display window. Or if suggested playing styles description for the presets where avaiable on for download?
Am in the process of learning all your video's. So incredibly helpful and intuitive. I began using EAST WEST before the Composer Cloud, scoring a Feature Film that had Academy Award winning actors in it. Now I am on Composer Cloud and completely satisfied. My question is....will you be coming out soon with some new works using the Hollywood Strings 2. i am very eager for it to be released on the 25th, and just as eager to hear your tutorials. Still have MANY of your films to go, but each one has something in it which I am able to use to make my output more efficient, and most importantly, better sounding that ever. Thanks. Wesley Lawrence Curry II.
Hey Ryan, quick question - any chance you could hook us up with a tutorial on using Hollywood Fantasy Orchestrator in metal context? We're gearing up for our next single (symphonic metal band), and I've got a feeling RPG Expansion Pack would be killer for it!
@@rubin_bassHonestly, the easiest way to do that is when composing the track, when the guitar goes to a high frequency (solos, melodies etc.), the orchestra goes mid or even low. And when the guitars are in mid (like playing rhythm) then the orchestra plays in the higher register. That's atleast how I do it, and it keeps the mix from getting muddled and every instrument sounds clear and not like they're fighting for their place in the audio spectrum.
Thank you so so much for all this! EastWest has been the heart of all my inspirational soundtrack ideas for years now and this is PERFECT! Thank You! ❤ X
This is great for a beginner like me to learn patches, sequences and just all around not get intimidated by a blank score, thank you! Is it possible to incorporate some kind of note taking system? for example, the Boss Fight 5 (4-4) you said was great for close keys. It would be awesome to add some kind of sticky note next to the preset to remember. Right now I'm just using google docs or excel sheets
the only problem i felt with the orchestrator is that the phrases are somewhat limited to a few bars. in order to make longer and more complex cue you have to use more preset/instances, which becomes difficult to handle. The rhythm of the "scores" becomes quite boring after a short time even if you change the chords. the orchestrator seems great to make 20-30 seconds cues, this demo shows it in a great way, but i feel it's not suited for longer or complex compositions. what do i miss??
Utilizing any ostinato pattern, even through chord changes, does eventually get monotonous (but it would do that if you were to write each part out yourself as well without more variance). It's a good starting point for an orchestrated ensemble sound and then you can either switch to additional presets or expound upon the created one yourself
You will. Unless you are copying exactly how Ryan is playing these presets, the way you play the presets will completely change them. Keep in mind, you can also change any aspect of these presets: the instrumentation, the melody, the voicings. Think of them more as starting points to new presets and compositions!
There is the midi Drag/Drop from the bottom right corner of the Orchestrator (the hand icon), or if you have a DAW that can record the midi directly out from Opus (Cubase, Studio One, Protools) then you can directly record the midi out of the Orchestrator to separate tracks.
If you are missing specific instruments, Opus will ask you to download them. But in general, you need all of these Hollywood Fantasy Orchestra products: Hollywood Fantasy Strings Hollywood Fantasy Brass Hollywood Fantasy Winds Hollywood Fantasy Percussion Hollywood Fantasy Voices Hollywood Fantasy Orchestrator
Yes all of the Hollywood Fantasy Orchestra titles, including Hollywood Fantasy Orchestrator and this RPG Expansion Pack, are included in ComposerCloud+

Considering the name of my channel, I REALLY appreciate these new presets!
Thank you for this video and amazing work!
Hey! I had a Roland D20 many moons ago. Gonna check out your channel.
@@Mopantsu Thanks - though mine refers more to tabletop games like Dungeons & Dragons. Still hope you found something you liked there 😁
Quick inspiration. These will be very cool starting points for composers. Thanks for another great tool.

OMG - I've just updated my full version. Zillion thanks.
Amazing stuff. With eastwest since 10 years and always happy 🙂

these sound amazing !
best best best...!!! amazing best... best regards
What I would give for a completely Sci-Fi Dedicated orchestra/orchestrator. This is pretty awesome!

That's the direction I want to go
I want to hear that! If you want I can make you some orquestations for your metal tracks 🎉

Did you do any low-end enhancement or boost, I play along with your video, obviously my low-end and drum are softer! Can you tell me why!?
Always a learning experience
Great Presets
Thanks!
Are there expansions for the opus Rochester too out there?
OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS!!!
Great Expansion! Thank you! 🙂
Sounds good but I'm afraid it get more and more generic so I'm happy I'm still compose my own unique melodys.

@@EWQLTutorials thanks for answering! :)
Fab stuff from EW.
Who owns this music if used as is?

Is it available for those who have a subscription?
Yes it’s available to all ComposerCloud subscribers.
MIDI export? for preset instruments used for scoring?
There is the midi Drag/Drop from the bottom right corner of the Orchestrator (the hand icon), or if you have a DAW that can record the midi directly out from Opus (Cubase, Studio One, Protools) then you can directly record the midi out of the Orchestrator to separate tracks.
I have composed a new piece with the Fantasy Orchestra.
Can I send this to you and enter the competition?
That demo sounds very Witcher 3 inspired. Which is great
Baldur's Gate also... JRPG's are different, more melodic. This is more atmospheric
Does this require both Hollywood Orchestra and Fantasy series, or just Fantasy series?
Just the Fantasy series
Do you need to have all the libraries pre-downloaded in order for this to work? If so what libraries do you need?
If you are missing specific instruments, Opus will ask you to download them. But in general, you need all of these Hollywood Fantasy Orchestra products:
Hollywood Fantasy Strings
Hollywood Fantasy Brass
Hollywood Fantasy Winds
Hollywood Fantasy Percussion
Hollywood Fantasy Voices
Hollywood Fantasy Orchestrator
Are these included in the composer cloud+ subscription?
Yes all of the Hollywood Fantasy Orchestra titles, including Hollywood Fantasy Orchestrator and this RPG Expansion Pack, are included in ComposerCloud+
@@EWQLTutorials I've tried to update it didn't appear in the scores.
I'll try again later
Are these a part of the subscription? I didn’t see it in the EW installer.
If you update Hollywood Fantasy Orchestrator, you should see these new presets in the Scores section.
Is this rpg expansion pack included in full purchase or do we have to buy it separately?
It's included. No extra pay.
It's quite good but i wish there was some middle eastern theme in them.
🎼❤
That's almost tooo easy! 🤣
