Don't think Shaw wasn't playing a psychological game here. Shane had a heartbreaking first couple racks and Shaw smelled blood. It's not a typical thing to notice exactly, but early in the match he showed complete disregard for Shane. He was inspecting his break cue obsessively like Shane didn't exist. He had total table presence and then set up a breakneck playing speed that Shane adopted. Shaw played flawlessly, and the tempo he created got Shane to make perhaps the worst, most amateurish shot I've ever seen him make in the last rack.
Do the people that install the tables always finish with a certain pocket? It always seems like top right on tv table is a different dimension? Please let me know
OK, what am I missing here? All ball in hand shots in the match were restricted to behind the head string--until Shaw's b-i-h shot on the 5 ball in the last rack, below the foot string (1:06:50). How come?
Shane is a tactician shaw is the one with the messier cue ball who shoots his way out of trouble. Although they both are incredible in all departments IMHO
Its sad that there are no youngsters/teens younger audiences for these matches is a bit of a downer tbh. The pool to watch is awesone but the audiences are like zombie OAPs, the ref looks like hes crawled out of some grave from the 1800s its depressing man. We need more younger viewers just to liven shit up coz really the background is depressing to watch. Im sorry but its true,, you dont see this with snooker its an all age kinda deal and real good fun. To me this is like playing pool in a morgue!!! The pool is outstanding but they really do need extra support and more screaming and shouting you know..
That's a pretty good point about making it more appealing to watch for all ages. The positives are SO good. Two of the best players. Crisp play. Great equipment and sharp outfits. Great strategic and relatable game of 8 ball. Incredible production value. And JJ is the best there is for expert commentary. The negatives are obvious though. It's not just age. Plenty of older people are more dynamic. The morgue comment is harsh but true. The ads here should be for Viagra and defibrillators and scooters. They sold those high end seats with name tags to a certain type of attendee, probably to charge a lot. Most didn't show up or fell asleep at the buffet. If you compare that "look" to ones where fans gather around and the most enthusiastic fans get in the frame, there's no comparison. The thing the sport has always lacked has been youth appeal and watchability. 8 ball helps a lot but the atmospherics really do matter.
Now this is how you play pool... Nice quick pace, not taking 5 mins per shot on an open table... These guys are a prime example of how the game is played... Not walking around the table for an hour before shooting... Sorry but the up n coming generation of players on the Pro Tour take too long... Just sayin
The younger dude is alright. I’ve been complaining about this old guy for years and they keep telling me to find another channel or watch it with the volume muted. These pool channels don’t take criticism well. Nobody likes this guy
2 of the worst commentators. Always skeptical and ''this is what I would have done'' when they still run out the rack. Like stfu that's why neither one of you are on these guys level.
I always love listening to Jeremy Jones's commentary. Same with Danny Diliberto.
We want more 8-Ball!! Keep it coming 😍
SVB and Shaw make it look so easy.
Jeremy jones, GOAT commentator
Daayyyuummmmmm what a match!!!! Love watching these guys play. Thanks Pat Be Safe
Oooohhhhh yeah! So excited!!! THANK YOU PAT!!!!!
2 favorite players
Those commentators are simply amazing
Great match!... Also two of my favorite announcers....
Boening is Champ 💪🏽🔥
I was hoping it would be Danny he is awesome and hilarious!
Great match
wow.., increadable players, unbelievable...

7:45 Shane smiles 🙂
Fast pool 2 great players
When Danny said it's a year from now, I was thinking, not the way these guys are hustling, more like 40 seconds. :-)
Danny´s favorite shot.
what does the (2-2) (3-1) next to the names mean?
That is the won-loss record so far in the tournament. It was a round-robin event where everybody played everybody else.
Do the people that install the tables always finish with a certain pocket? It always seems like top right on tv table is a different dimension? Please let me know
MOre like the Lake Trout Slayer! Go SVB! good watch BOys, thank you...
Ken is the best!! Thank you Ken
They were playing like they were going to miss a very important flight lol haha
Trận nào hay nhất mọi người????
talking about staying off the rail . . made me recall the "Cigar Rule" ~anybody ever heard of that?
Isn’t that a foul at 20:02? The cue ball hadn’t stopped, but Shane knocked it up table. Or would it only be a foul if Jayson hit it?
He already lost how do you punish a loser lol
So Accustats - where's the final?
Marquina
De California!
Viva Europa 😍😍😍🔥🔥🔥

Ball in hand after a break is behind the head string
Was Shaw with Meucci during this year? That would explain the warped breaker.
Ran pool tournaments for years had race to 2 take longer then this match sheeesh.
Shane is THE MAN in 9 ball - other games he relies too much on his shot making skills and often gets into trouble feeling his way around the table
Well said
You realize he’s won quite a few big time one pocket tournaments against some of the worlds best , right?
@@johnnoel3416 but not among the top 1pocket players

Shane is one of the best 8 ball players alive. Shaw just got him this match, it happens.
Are they that Earl will come in and berate them for slow play
How big is the table?
9-foot
He’s cutting his wallet had me dying lol 😂 😂
finals who win guys
Why did Shane playe wood shaft??

Well when the announcers sound like they crawled out of an 1870s grave... its hard to get the young ones to watch it online, much less live.
@@greg4254 yeah this old guy needs to go back to the nursing home and commentate bingo games

No heckling from the crowd, weird.
Does anybody else find Danny's commentary to be incredibly annoying?
yes. borderline unwatchable with his commentary.
Commentator giving himself a tracheotomy with the microphone
lol are the ten million adds strategically inserted at key moments to troll us.... or does nobody give a f and letting utube just slap 'n slather
You should sign up for TH-cam Premium. No commercials.
The announcers make this unwatchable
The younger dude is alright. I’ve been complaining about this old guy for years and they keep telling me to find another channel or watch it with the volume muted. These pool channels don’t take criticism well. Nobody likes this guy
Jeremy is the best there is, especially commenting 8 ball.
The universe is bigger QuotesDanny
Once again Danny is wrong..
My God. This commentator team is the worst.
The old guy sounds like a cartoon.
lip smackin good :D ❤️💚🧡❤️💚❤️🧡
watching shane's first straight ack midroll and screen interrupted by close up of mangled azzz rotting zombie teeth picture rad weeeeee
Eagle Face would be better
Holy crap. Commentators so annoying
Shot clock? 🤣
This commentary is pretty bad as usual
If you didn't like this, then find another channel. 🙂
You could just mute the sound and enjoy the game without any commentary😌
